Are you kidding? You need lots of luck to be there. Once you made it a few times, yes, then you might have gained some followers, but until then you mostly need luck. Here are a few things that *might* help *slightly* :- Keep the deck at low cost to please the budget crowd. That actually means adding supbar cards. So, even if you own good but expensive cards, don't add them. This is mainly true for lands - don't add fetchies for example even if you own them, instead add something like Scrylands or try to go with basics as much as possible.- Pick a click-baity title that includes things like „infinite“, „unbeatable“ etc. and always add „budget“.- Pick a simple theme and/or tribe and stick to it. Just make a quick card search and add the cheapest cards there are (money-wise)- Do NOT think this through! A deck that is already tight has no room for improvements and that means less comments. But if you leave lots of room for improvements, people can point out the flaws, generating hits which helps getting to front page!- Make sure the deck tags include “budget” as well.- After posting your deck, go to the decks that are currently on Hot Page, post on them and ask for help on your deck. That way you will reach hundreds of readers. The author of the deck you post in will most likely not mind your shameless advertisement (especially if you garnered it with compliments) because that post increases his deck's post count and thus helps him staying on hot page.Yes, I am a little bit sarcastic here but only a little bit, this is actually how this site works.Note that currently, for some reason, all cards are listed with a price of zero so the budget thingy might not work that well currently. (Which is a boon in my mind). The real question, though, is: Why do you want to make front page in the first place? If all you need is help on your deck, then go and ask the more experienced users here directly, many are happy to help. Or is it because you like the attention, recognition and fame? If that's what you are looking for, keep in mind how shallow that is - I mean look at the tips I gave above ... it should give and idea how nonsensical the Hot Page is. Like Paris Hilton, they are famous because they have hits and they have hits because they are famous.

Hm, you are right, for some reason I assumed Cessation was a full Pacifism. I'll remove the comment. And yes, seeing no deck values gives me the snickers, it might tone down the amount of generic budget decks as well as those "look! a 6000$ deck LOL!!11" decks.
Yeah, you could say that --- check this out:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2msk9NX3DI
Sure, Lim-Duls High guard isn't a good card but the one it would replace (Drudge Skeleton) isn't either ;). This is about diversification within your deck. Frankly speaking, if the first couple of 1/1 regenerators didn't stop the opponent, the next one will probably neither but a First Striker might (let's say, to stop Ball Lightning).
Hm, isn't this just a pile of random 1/1 regenerators that happen to share a creature type? Yeah, I know, budget yaddayadda, but budget doesn't mean you should ignore the basics of deckbuilding. For one, this deck needs flyers and badly. Personally i would splash blue so you can add the very excellent Kathari Remnant. But if you want to keep this mono-black and budget, try Skeletal Vampire.Next, you run all sorts of 1/1 skellis but missed one of the best out there: Reassembling Skeletons! They just come back again and again. And they work well with The Skeletal Vampire and the Kjeldoran Dead you already got.Furthermore, looking at your mana curve you can clearly allow to add a few casting cost 3 dudes. I'd consider swapping some of the worst skellis you have there (probably Drudge Skeletons) for something like Lim-Dul's High Guard - that one would even fit in thematically since you run Lim-Dul as the head-honcho :)Now to Skeletal Wurm. It's just horrible and way out of the mana curve! I under stand you need something more beefy than 1/1s but this won't work. Skithiryx is probably out of question because budget but there are other options. Again, Skeletal Vampire. Secondly, there is Champion of Stray Souls. But my favourite is Flayed Nim. He isn't a fatty but at 4 mana he fits your mana curve smoothly and he is great both offensively and defensivly since he will always transfer damage to the opponent no matter if he blocks or is blocked. Finally, and this is something all you budget and tribal lovers should keep in mind, if you build a tribal deck that doesn't have it's own "lord" (or, like in this case, it does have one in Death Baron but it's too expensive money-wise), then there is always Brass Herald! All cards suggested are dirt cheap, the Champion being the most expensive at 70 cent, the rest should be way lower than that.
Ah, I had the wrong card in my mind for Prototype Portal ... I confused it with Mimic Vat! Elixirs shuffle the grave but you don't really need that. Or ... I mean, your plan is win by Storm Seeker/Black Vise damage, right? Not milling? To my experience either you or the opponent will be dead a long time before you run out of cards, even with 4 Howling Mines. Icy: Of course you can also tap threats, I just think it's too slow for today's cards. That depends on your meta and level of competion of course. Maybe also consider Propaganda. However, I still think Storage Matrix is the card to add if you keep the Icys.
Leon Russell? That album was released the year I was born ... and he may be a legend in the states but in my country he is almost unknown. I am sure my father didn't have any records of him. Just checked some songs of that album on YouTube - gotta say that's a tad bit too tame for me. Then again my ears are still recovering from the The Prodigy (with Public Enemy, no less!) concert I attended yesterday :) But guess the roles are reversed there: The Prodigy is big in europe but not in the US. Public Enemy was the supporting act BTW.
Oh and have a look at Psychosis Crawler :)
Hi, Umoonpuca asked me to drop by. He said " He's looking for a way to cheat in a creature" but I guess I will have to take a shot at the entire deck and things to think about.* Ways to cheat in creatures ... well, there is Quicksilver Amulet, Natural Order, Elvish Piper and an assortment of other cards, however, if you go that way, you might as well "cheat" something game ending into play like Progenitus, Darksteel Colossus or Emrakul. I don't know if you want to go that way. It's expensive money-wise and it's boring. We want to keep this in theme, right?* Obvious replacement for Rune Snag would be Mana Leak in Legacy (Storm Seeker makes it Legacy and telling by the name of the deck you intent to keep them, right?). However, in a deck like this you might as well try your hand on Powersink. All of that provided you don't own Force of Wills or Mana Drains.* I don't see why you run Seat of Synod. You have zero cards that benefit from that land being an artifact but running them means you are now open for non-basic-hate and artifact destruction. I also recommend to not play something like Simic Growth Chamber in a deck with 4 Howling Mines ... you'll need some sort of dualland that doesn't come into play tapped. I don't know what you've got - Hinterland Harbor maybe?* Ivory Tower should be a better lifegainer in this than those Elixirs. And if you replace those, you might keep the Rune Snags.* I am a bit confused about the concept ... Icys are usually used to tap that Howling Mine during opponent's turn so that he doesn't draw cards but those Storm Seekers tell me you want them to draw ... you are 2 cards short but instead of sneaking creatures into play I would add something devastating. See, you give your opponents cards and don't have much defenses, any decent deck will just overrun you. But if you add something like STORAGE MATRIX, you can turn this into a nasty soft-lock deck! The trick is that, like Howling Mine, a Storage Matrix can be "turned off" if you tap with Icy at the end of opponent's turn. You untap normally but your opponent can untap only one type of permanents. Bazinga! You will receive much less damage and the opponent will get much less into play. Your Manowars and Mystic Snakes drag the game more and eventually you win. Without this slowdown you will probably just die.* Black Vise is an obvious addition/alternative to Storm Seeker but it's hard to say what to cut.* You could use Erratic Portal or Crystal Shard to bounce your creatures back to hand. Would replace the Navigators. Another alternative would be Ghostly Flicker.
Yes, sure.
Wow, were you trapped in a time capsule? :)
Just realized that Mutavault has all creature types when activated and therefore is a Zubera on command. I just don't own any and they are way to expensive just to slighlty crunch some numbers in a casual deck like this ... added to the sideboard for now (sideboard = cards I consider adding)
Tell me how you did once you played a few games! I haven't built it myself yet because those Demonic Pacts are hard to get by for some reason ... I thought they would drop in price sooner and faster.
Hm, I somewhat had Unnatural Selection wrong in my mind. I thought it could change the type of a target creature but in fact it doesn't target at all, it changes all creatures of a certain type. I can still prevent myself from being decked by changing "zubera" into something else, however, then I will draw nothing. Well, depending on the sweeper and situation I might pull off some stacking tricks.Or ... I just play this like a man and don't worry about decking myself! There are worse ways to go than drawing your entire deck :)
* What are the BoPs for? If it's just to accelerate Harrow, I would use Llanowr Elves instead.* Speaking of Harrow - why Harrow? You have no other basic lands besides Forests, no landfall to trigger besides the Expedition ... Cultivate would be better than Harrow in this deck in about 99% of situations.* Obelisk of Urd ... I just don't like that card. Coat of Arms would be way better in this.* You run zero removal. I know you don't want to lose focus, but there is a very neat way to fix this: Replace those Vitality Charms with Caustic Caterpillars and you are set!
But that's what I was referring to when I said "too many dragons, too few utility". Yes, Scion is a glass cannon but for the reasons you mentioned you shouldn't play Scion aggressively. Like Umoonpuca said, instead you should abuse the fact that you have access to all colors and play controllish for a long time until you are ready to go (and then it's more like playing combo). The glass cannon aspect is also why I suggested running some reanimation. Volrath's Shapeshifter for instance still works if your Scion got exiled or shuffled into your library (or any of the other horrible things that players keep in their hands to deal with commanders).
Hm ... or I could add Unnatural Selection. It also allows me to turn opponent's creatures into Zuberis in response to a sweeper - with Unnatural Selection I would have total control over how many cards I draw!
Too many dragons, too few utility. See, Scion searches for dragons and copies them, you don't really need so many since you should win with 2 or 3 activations. Yes, you need a toolbox of dragons but you don't need a two dozen variations of fat. Some of them don't even work with Scion, like the CIP of Dragonlord Atarka. What Scion does, however, is filling your graveyard with fatties, so why don't you run reanimation? Something like Dreams of the Dead would be a killer in this (very underrated card). But over staples like Beacon of Unrest would do, too. And you could use creatures like Volrath's Shapeshifter also works (and would make good use of Dragons you drew in the early phases of the game!)Zirilan of the Claw is painfully missing.
Yeah, but it costs 4 mana and this deck wants to drop a creature every turn, so I wonder when there will actually be the time to leave 4 mana untapped? If there were worthwhile targets for the resurerrection part you could just counter whatever the opponent happens to cast midgame and get a critter back at the same time (or get one back and draw card if you are low on resources). But if you use it as a true reactive counterspell you lose tempo --- no?Haven't played Type II in ages, remind you, that's just what my gut tells me.
What's the Ojutai's Command mainly for, cantrip conuterspell? Because the 2-mana-critters you could bring back with it aren't impressive, by the time you can command you probably don't need mana dorks anymore and you can't put them into play morphed. You should run at least one Deathmist Raptor, if not just for the deck name :)
