Haha, you, Sir, aber truly a Knight of the HokeyPokey!
I will gladly make an Incarnation deck. But allow me to make it more of a theme deck. A truly *personal" deck for the two of us :)

You know I am always happy to throw in one-ofs that kinda fit, so, sure.

Self-mill is an ancient concept, but if you consider it obscure ... I have a Mesmeric Orb deck, does that count?

Building this deck now and had to make some more adjustments:

-2 Pride Guardian (don't have any :P)
-1 Personal Incarnation (sorry, Hokey, but besides being outdated, I can't afford to lose half my life ...)
-1 Axebane Guardian (I don't really need THAT much mana)
+1 Temple of Plenty
+1 Triskelion (Sunbond target for damage)
+1 Mindless Automaton (Sunbond target for cards)
+1 Sabertooth Nishoba (ultimate Sunbond target for damage and life that is unkillable by damage)

Will play it this weekend.

Of course it is possible but he wants a 5-colour LAST STAND deck and that means if I use duals, that count for 2 land types each, I will double the effect of Last Stand.

Yes but the challange was to use specifically Stronghold Discipline :P

Rakdos Charm is a great card (like most ofthe Charms) but since I can't replace the Disciplines and don't think I'll need this effect 8 times, I skipped on it. But I will add him to the sideboard and make a comment in the description so that anybody building this deck for home use will use the Charm instead of the Discipline.

Does it have to be Last Stand? It would probably be a horrible expensive deck with almost a playset of Revised duals^^

"Win more" I guesss ;)

Yes, Overseer is not needed and would probably only dillute the deck.

No :)
I prefer Glacial Chasm since it protects me for more than one turn and from everything, not just creature attacks. In conjuction with Crawlspace that should be enough. Darkness just buys me one more turn to draw what I need - I'd rather draw what I need in the first place.

I might add tutors but the good ones will make this deck Vintage.

What's obscure about The Rack!? Any run-of-the-mill discard deck would do. Heck, there is currently an 8-Rack-deck leading the "hot" section!

When I started this, I expected people to challenge me on cards like Sands of Time, Lich's Mirror or Hellcarver Demon or to make a deck focussing on rarely used mechanics like banding or fading.

The best part about EDH is going Highlander - that is, if that doesn't mean playing thousands of tutors to get the same staples and powercards. You know my decks - usually I find more cards that fit my theme than I have deckspace for. Plus, I'd rather use the cards of my collection, even if they are second or third grade, than trading for more copies of first grade cards. That's why most of my decks look highlanderish with lots of 1-ofs.

Hm, I already replied to the first deck.
You can actually rename a deck without having to copy&paste it :)

But the actual meanie is Sigil of Sleep! Repeated and cheap bounce if slapped on a shadow moron. Really, the others are just supplements to Sigil. Mana Breach and Sunder are also very crucial - I really need to keep things below cc 4, dragging the game down to never really leaving early game. Strip Mine is there precisely because of that mana denial subtheme.

It may untap the Scepter but what is that worth if you don't have the mana to put another counter on it? The Grindclock is still bad, even with Unwinding Clock. Okay, I forgot about Coretapper. I still think Unwinding Clock is only worth adding if you have artifact mana. Then you can replace Grindclock with, say, Keening Stone if you insist milling is what this deck needs and the Scepter can grant you a Time Walk every turn.

Actually I didn't blame the format, I blamed the players. And I avoid those players by not playing EDH :)

We tried EDH in our group one or two times with moderately pimped versions of those original commander decks and the resulting games were so boring that we abandoned EDH.

Well, the main reason I cut it is that I need the Sol Ring for another deck ;)
