I am not a fan of do-or-die decks or "suicide" type of decks which shadow decks typically are. Also, it was part of the Challange to build a shadow deck that can stay on it's own without relying on a lucky/quick damage race win. That's why I resort to lifegain and bounce.

About Urza's:
While it is certainly a good block, it wasn't exactly healthy for the game (you might have heard of the term "Combo Winter" followed by "Necro Summer" and the mass-bannings associated ...). I preferred much better balanced sets such as Invasion and the ones with so many nice little ideas to tinker around, like Time Spiral. The latter is a set that many players including some of my group thought of as "meh" but over the years found themselves looking back for again and again. Those are the truly great sets and cards: When the usefulness isn't plain obvious but with some thought put into them (and new cards coming out that interact with them) they become great picks. Whereas badly designed sets such as Planeshift only interact well with cards inside the same set or block at best.

Anyway, it's me ranting again even thogh I have decks to comment on :)

There are cards that do that, just not in your colours. Anyway, made lots of suggestions in your deck, enjoy!

Also for you: This is the NO MANA deck!

The last two ideas, however, work

Again: This deck wants to be a no-mana-deck! Hence the deck title.

On which planet? Because on planet earth, such a card doesn't exist (yet).

But then it stopped being a "no-mana-deck" which it wants to be, at least according to description, confusingly not by title.

Certainly, yes. It's not easy and depends on what kind of multiplayer (free-for-all is the worst for any aggressive deck), but it is possible. Here is one of mine, specifically built to play aggressive in multiplayer environments that is a bit slower than a 1-on-1 deck but won't run out of steam, even if everybody is packed with removal:

Mana base isn't a problem, but the fact that I have 0 cards with cycling is ;) I could replace basic lands with cycling lands but I am unsure if that's worth the trouble. Resetting counters doesn't have high priority because the phantom ability still works without counters as long as I have another card that keeps the toughness above 0. But yes, "blinking" the phantoms would technically work well.

I run 4 Gaea's Blessing to shuffle stuff back. It is slower but has two advantages: 1) it cantrips, so I don't waste a card. 2) I can pick what to reshuffle.

I think it shows that you replaced Experiment One with Goyfs ... as in, your deck doesn't run artifacts, enchantments nor sorceries t support him! At the very least I would suggest Reckless Charge, a card that is brutal on it's own but adds much to any deck running the Goyf.

And I don't understand why this deck doesn't run Rancor.

How to make room? I am not sold on Lightning Helix, are they cutting edge in Modern? And Domri Rade is hard to jugde, without Sylvan Library it's a 50/50 gamble that you draw a card or that that it does nothing. The ultimate will never be achieved, I guess.

Hi, this looks so oldschool, I just HAD to comment^^ I'll try to keep this in theme and as oldschool as possible.

* There really is no reason to run Stone Rain and Ice Storm if you could use Pillage instead. You run BoPs and enough duals and fetchies so that the double-red won't be troublesome.

* Earth Rift is weak - you'll never flash that thing back. Try Icefall instead - hey, Coldsnap is technically oldschool! ;)

* Wildfire is a card you should be prepared for yourself. This deck isn't. You run zero mana artifacts and half of your creatures die to it, including all mana-producers. Yes, Wildfire and the Centaurs are fun, but I still think it's not worth the risk, especially at 2 copies. Wildfire is a card that you run 4 times or not at all.

* Good old Ernham. His days of glory are long gone. You'd have to look back as much as 1995 if you want him to rule supreme. He barely survived Kurt Cobain ... but his fall was less glamorous ... I'd rather have something nasty in here that fits the theme. For example I miss Avalanche Riders in this deck. I guess because you were aiming for the Wildfire? I would also consider Terravore.

Sideboard:
* Stream of Life is (and always was!) a bad card! Seriously, it does way too few for what it costs and when you are so desperate that you fetch it via a Burning Wish, chances are that it won't help you! At best case it will buy you one more turn before you die. A turn to draw the card that you should have fetched instead of the Stream of Life. At the very least you should upgrade it to Taste of Paradise!

* Pillage, Creeping Mold: Should be in the main board. If there are no artifacts or enchantments, you can always use them to hit a land, so why hide them in the sideboard? Instead you should have Flashfire and Tsunami in the sideboard!

* Whipflare: Whipflare? Why not Pyroclasm? Oldschool! Also, you don't run artifact creatures. But I wouldn't go with Pyroclasm either ... you run Earthquake in the side, but no Hurricane, please fix that :)

* Crush of Wurms, Roar of the Wurm: Don't aim for mana costs THAT high ... I think Grizzly Fate would do better.

* Earth Rift: This is even more useless in the side. What would be the situation you would Wish for this? I don't think we need more land destruction, lets look for something else ... Anarchy for example, white weenie decks are hard to beat with LD.

Oh yeah, good old Blazing Effigy! Here some oldschool advice for this oldschool device^^ :

Pyroclasm isn't sufficient to kill an Effigy but Chain Lightning does. Chain Lightning fits your deck more than you think. For one it should be in there thematically, secondly, if you Chain Lightning your own creature (doesn't matter if Effigy, Maniac or Stuffy Doll) then you control the traget, so YOU are the one who can pay RR to bounce it to yet another target! Muahaha, one of my favourite tricks with Chain Lightning was killing my own Rukh Eggs with it.

The Rukh Egg I just mentioned might fit here as well - or maybe not. But talking of it, one my other great tricks with Eggs and Effigies was to attack with them and then cast Blood Frenzy on them! 4 damage for 2 mana (8 with Furnace) and then the creature goes pop! The better part: if used on your Stuffy Doll, it will survive! The best part: If used on your opponent's creature that you block with your Stuffy Doll, it will deal 4 more damage to that opponent AND kill the attacking creature :)
Please hand me the mad genius crown now, I want to equip it.

EDIT:
Oh and maybe Orim's Thunder instead of Oblivion Ring! Why? Well, it can also be used to kill your own Effigy or to deal extra damage to your opponent (by dealing the damage to a Doll). But more importantly: You can always use it to kill your own Furnace in a pinch (for example when the opponent is going to deal too much damage). And remember: If there is nothing else you can target, you can always hit your won Stuffy Doll with it - it won't die but still deals 5 damage!
NOW give me that fucking Crown :D

Very ironically, starting this debate in this deck helped it staying in the "hot" bracket ;)

But this is another flaw with out this site works (and how humans work ...), once a deck makes 1st page, it'll stay there foreever because people focus on it and if they comment, they'll keep it up there. Much like the Kardassians or Paris Hilton, lamenting about how irrelevant they are makes them relevant.

Maybe Silver Knight? It would be very good against the most likely creature deck you will run into: Gobo-Burn.

Looks like Containment Priest should be in here (probably instead of the Cage or at least in the sideboard).

Other than that it's a really risky move, if you are playing against another creature deck, you are probably toast. Your sideboard should cope with that, especially burn. Personally I would like to add an option that lets me replace dead cards with something more useful, for example the Tax/Rack engine, but that's just me. You probably don't have the time in Vintage for shenanigans like that.
