I would cut down on the high cost Treefolk. Right now the manacurve is too slow. Take away Indomitable Ancient, as it also disrupt your mana balance.

4x Noble Hierarch may help instead of Pirds of Paradise, as I'm pretty sure that you will only attack with one trefolk at a time anyway.

My best advise is to reform the deck into an Elven Glimpse deck. But that will make it into one of the best Legacy Tournament decks around, and will not be much for social play.

I like this deck. Not seen it in any Modern metagames.

Suggestions
Main Deck:
- 2x Ghost Quarter to fight TRON and Affinity
- 3x Maelstrom Pulse as you need more removals. It is great against decks like Martyr/Tokens etc..
- 3x Inquisition of Kozilek to disrupt combo decks like Splinter/Melira
- 4x Path to Exile, as your deck can't match hard aggro right now (Rock, Jund, RDW, Merfolk etc..)

Sideboard
- Fracturing Gust to counter Affinity and Aura Hexproof decks.
- Beast Within as it is a great car against combo decks and TRON.

Nice spin on a Martyr - deck. Most Martyr decks are more focused on lifegain then control, so this is a fresh take on an old classic.

Do you know how it holds up in tournament play?

Personally I use the following version, which works fairly consistent in most metagames:

I agree it is a fun combo :)

Have you had any success with it in any metagame match-ups with other legacy decks? Personally I found legacy to be too tough for this deck, due to cards like Force of Will.

But if you simply want to play the deck for fun, I would rearrange the mana-setup. It is too expensive with fetch-lands and they don't add much tempo to the deck. Archaeological Dig will provide you with much the same benefit and only cost $2.

The plan is to rotate Pyrite Spellbomb an infinite number of time with Conjurers bauble and Second Sunrise.

I think Second Sunrise is one of the most strange infinite combos out there, but it is a bit too weak in legacy.

It used to be a fairly good Modern Deck, but it has not seen much serious play in legacy

Pyrite Spellbomb can win the game, but I prefer to utilize Cunnning Wish with Brainfreeze and Grapeshot in the sideboard to provide more options.

This being a legacy version of a Modern Sunny Side Up deck, you could add up some legacy cards to make the deck move faster (Mystical Tutor, Cephalid Coliseum, Archaelogical Dig)

In my opinion you can make this both faster and cheaper:
http://www.mtgvault.com/roar/decks/sunny-side-up/

- Add Cunning Wish (grapeshot and brainfreeze in sideboard) - gives you alot more potential win conditions.
- Include Skycloud Egg, as you need more card draws to get the combo rotate
- Cephalid Coliseum and Archaelogical Dig helps rotate the combo.

Sunny Side decks were very strong in competitive Modern plays, but is unfortunately too weak in Legacy play.

I don't have much to fight Stony Silence with in my deck either.

I've included a couple of Spell Pierce in my sideboard. Since Affinity decks are considerable faster than most white decks that play Stony Silence in sideboard, the threat of a Spell Pierce could slow down a Stony Silence to the point where it will no longer be as effective.

Fair enough asessment :) I would still however include one island, since you're bound to be facing Ghost Quarter. And without a basic land, Ghost Quarter will act as a Strip Mine on your lands....

You should include one island since many modern decks utilizes Ghost Quarter to slow down Affinity and Tron decks.

Personally I favor Steel Overseer over Tezzeret in this format. In legacy versions where you utilize artifact lands I might include Tezzeret.

Surgical Extraction is good against MeliraPod, Living End, Tin Fist etc, but I think 4 is a bit too much in this sideboard unless these are the most popular decks you're facing.

Here is my version:

Black Sun's Zenith, Day of Judgment and Gaze of Granite are too slow to be played in this format, and therefor not a serious threat. Beside most modern decks that could utilize Day of Judgment would be hurt far more by that spell themselves (e.g. Token, Martyr Life)

I would add cheaper card draw advantage, as you will run out of fogs this way. I would also include a couple of Ratchet Bombs for removals.

I did a similar deck strictly built around Near-Death deck with Luminarch Ascension as a secondary win-condition.

You should amend the deck tags to casual and tribal :)
For legacy play you would have had to trim this deck into a "meathook deck", which is based on Aether Vial.
