Mindcrank is also another option to go with for another infinite combo.

Never been a fan of Killing Wave because it just gives your opponent a choice. It does fit this deck's theme however.

Nice. I mostly only play EDH and causal 60 cards now. Everything else is just too much money to keep up with and I don't find it as interesting.

Slow and steady wins the race. I see a lot of people blow too much money on the game when they are starting to either get back into it or new. You just need to take your time and hopefully your playgroup understands this and that they don't always play their best decks just to beat you down. Hopefully they have a couple of decks around your budget or level to play with. Well as long as everyone is having fun then its all good in my opinion.

Ahh nice, no problem. I mean the best thing to do (what I do of course) is slowly buy the cards you need. So for me with each check I get I spend maybe $20-30 on cards. I wouldn't recommend blowing all your money on a bunch of cards you want to add and then find out that you won't even use half of them (I have done this a few times from experience). I also play on cockatrice and test my decks out as much as I can before buying.

Yea, wasn't sure if you had some sort of budget or not so I just suggested value type cards. By no means do you need them to win or have fun, just what I see being played.

Also you could play around with exiling other player's decks. Long-Term Plans can help set you up for a win.
Sadistic Sacrament (you can play the kicker still even if it is casted from exile with Jeleva)
Denying Wind

Take things also:
Blatant Thievery
Knowledge Exploitation

The best Jeleva decks I've seen are the ones that run very little creatures or none at all. The have good ramp and big stupid spells (like taking extra turns, multiple attack phases, etc.) and then a big win con is Army of the Damned.

Do you plan on using Karametra as your commander?

Promised Kannushi and Ashes of the Fallen can be useful for spirits.

So what is the game plan here? Win by baby Jace or Ultimatum?

Only problem I have found with Maralen is that your opponent (if they are good anyways) will always search for an answer to whatever you might be doing or get that game winning combo.

I would add in some haste enablers for sure, Anger, Urbrask the Hidden, and Fires of Yavimaya are good choices.
Worldly Tutor is pretty useful and so is having some good card draw. Green has a decent amount of draw based off of big creatures and so on.

I think you are missing the point of a Varolz deck. you want to get big fatties in your graveyard and swing with Varolz. He is built mainly for voltron type decks.
Some key creatures:
Death's Shadow
Phyrexian Dreadnought
Lord of Extinction/Boneyard Wurm/Skyshroud War Beast/Mortivore/Multani, Maro-Sorcerer (*/* means that is his P/T where ever he is including your graveyard/library. FYI.)
Oona's Prowler (can help put fatties or other cards into your graveyard)
Phyrexian Soulgorger
Nyxathid
Endless Wurm
Force of Savagery
Riftsweeper (get those exiled cards back into your library and reuse them)

Cards like Buried Alive and Entomb can be very useful to get creatures in your graveyard.

Is this deck trying to make the most out of Jaya or just have her for side burn?

Updated two cards. Added in Ranger of Eos and Circle of Despair. They are taking Attrition and Black Market spots.
I still want to try out Suture Priest and Ogre Slumlord.

That is true, another good card to try and fit in.

It's decent. Nice and cheap removal but I can't get rid of any black creatures sadly. I plan to take out after a few more runs. So far it is sitting at 40% helpful. Black Market is another card I am thinking of replacing. Most of the time I don't even need the extra mana.

I did forget about this card. I want to do some playtesting and this might be a good card to add if I need more life.
