Normally I am fine with buying cards $10 or below but if possible I like to trade for them instead.

Remand is something I want to get for a while, so that is on my to buy list. Cryptic is far too steep for me to buy right now but I am also looking to trade someone for them. I prefer Rune Snag over Mana Leak because after I use it it will feed into my next Rune Snag, also I tend to discard a lot in this deck. I also like Dream over Dissolve because of the draw and it has more synergy with Notion Thief. Spell Pierce might be a card to try out if I find myself playing against much quicker decks (which is bond to happen as I deck test more). In this deck Murderous Cuts are much more efficient than Doom Blade (can't deal with black creatures) and Go for the Throat (can't deal with artifacts, a lot of affinity and tron is being played). My graveyard gets filled early and by turn 2 or 3 I have around 4-6 cards in my graveyard already.
You might be thinking of Reforge the Soul. Someone else also mentioned that and I might just splash the red for it because it is a good card. (I use it in a few other red decks for good draw) Otherwise Whispering Madness does work.
As this is a control deck I can normally last that long to get him out. I find him very useful and even more so with Tasigur out on the field.
I am trying to find cuts, I have a good amount of 3 and 4 drops. This just comes with deck testing more and more to find what is really needed and not. I have had a person quit cockatrice when I played compulsive on them and they couldn't draw the three cards. Pretty satisfying I would say.
Like I said before woth the monks, he just had to replace the cards. If you looked at deck created date it was made before FrF came out.
What do you mean by that?
Not really. It is a monk deck. They just need to replace the cards like they said in the description.
I think you are running far too many creatures. You won't end up exiling any of the spells you want to hit.
No its fine. It gets me thinking and sometimes that leads me to finding related cards I could use instead. Thanks for the idea.
However I can't use it on my opponents to gain advantage that way. Also isn't modern legal.
Was looking for a little more draw I can use in this deck in modern. Compulsive Research seems to fit the bill. I can use it on myself and not worry so much or with Thief out it becomes a draw three, opponent discards 1 or 2 cards.
Yea I was playtesting and noticed that my two drops were only 1 Rift. Also that I could use a little more control to stall. Rune Snag would be great and won't have as much of a downside if I have to discard one of them.I did have tower inoriginally but a buddy of mine suggested to try this deck without it and see how it works with deldethe delve cards. I think I might add it back in over a catacomb like you said if I just don't feel it.
I have been looking into getting some type of wrath effect but $30+ on that card isn't going to make me buy it. (Note: Liliana I was able to get at a low price)
Unmakes, utter End, Mortify, and maybe some enchantment recursion? Also good to have ways to deal with threats and you do have a good amount of enchantments.I know you are on a budget so you could do a 1 of Felidar Sovereign. Also Serra's Avatar is decent.
Haha keep trying, I don't mind.I have tried Jace's Archivist but the problem is that I have to wait a whole turn for him to activate.
Not saying the card is bad with thief for 3. I think I will be going with Prognostic Sphinx the scry is good and the discard is useful to feed for delve. Master is just easily removed (like most creatures).
To bad that it isn't modern legal. Otherwise it be a good mana sink.
Some way to gain life woulf be nice. That way you won't get beat fown after losing so much life.blightsteel would be another wincon.
I did have that in before I posted this deck but I think Chasm Skulker would be better. I am losing out on the lose 1 life each draw.
