This deck appears to be valid in the new Modern format. Not sure of any restrictions or banned cards since I cannot see that page where I am at.

Liliana's Caress over Megrim. Only 2 mana ({1} {B}). Or you can just have both ;P

Like the concept but if your about infect "pingers" then why not have Virulent wound?

You have 3 Phyresis. If you need to turn the creatures you have into infect creatures, wouldn't you want 4? I do see that you have 4 tainted strike but that goes away at end of turn. Tainted strikes are most likely to be countered over the Phyresis. That and facing Mental Misstep is a fast way to counter tainted strike. Note: Mental Misstep is appearing in majority of the competitive control decks. I have it in my green blue infect deck.

Also in the new set there is a Skirsdag Cultis and he reads "{R}, {T}, Sacrifice a creature: Skirsdag Cultist deals 2 damage to target creature or player." That may be a cheaper alternative than Molten-Tail Masticore. can also be used in conjunction with Molten-Tail. since you sac the creature for cultist and remove the creature for molten.

There is a lot here for death touch, but i would focus on either death touch or infect (since your about infect, i would say that one).

Lashwrithe is also a good final straw with infect or a a creature with infect.

Next thing i see is the cheapest mana casting with the possibility of infect is Vector Asp. Spikeshot eldar is good for 1 mana but you would need 3 after that to have him ping.

Livewire Lash will work great here. Attach it to creature, pump creature up, throw 2 infect right at opposing player. There is a black pump called Dark Favor. that would give +3/+1 to a creature. That would be a good pump with infect. Best part is it is an enchantment which means it stays.

I am not trying to destroy your concept or degrade this deck because the concept is sound but if you cant get enough infect as fast as possible, once a control deck gets stabilized, you will not be able to touch them.

Hopefully there will be a whole new kind of Vamp deck once Innistrad comes out. Not knockin your deck since those are most of the current vamps out there. But i would like to see new things with new mechanics.

Maybe i am not seeing it but why all the ones and twos? Copies i mean.

With Melira, Sylvok Outcast, why not have the Vatmother?

Phyrexian Crusader is the correct choice. Cant really believe I forgot that one. And Rampant Growth is good too.

I have never really been a fan of Vatmother but that one would fit in for late game action. I would have had Skittles in there but the cost is a bit high. 5 mana to play (6 if you want to use it that turn). If I get enough ramp, then yes skittles would be great.

Birthing Pod would work in the ramping deck style. Come October, Rampant growth will be the only one, so far we know of, the only cheap mana getter.

Virulent Wound. I have seen people praise and dismiss this card. I don't know about you but with infect, how many times have you been blocked by that 1/1 chump blocker? It has happened a lot to me when I play infect. not only does it get rid of that 1/1, it also gives it a poison counter. i have won plenty of games with virulent wound as the last counter.

Inkmoth Nexus. I have used this one once as a flying infect to get the kill. Other than that, it has just been there for mana. I may be holding back on it but i find that i am casting other spells with that 1 mana or holding it for an instant later on. Inkmoth is there as a just in case kinda thing.

I will probably get the birthing pods and skittles in there once there is more standard cheap mana ramping cards out there. The Viridian Emissary is the only non-infect creature but hopefully will get killed soon enough for the mana.

So will Caw-Blade be able to survive after Innistrad comes out?

Overall Great. Only issue i see is that you have a great pumpable creature that does not have infect in an infect deck. Lashwrithe.

If you want to keep that in there, you may want to have something that could possibly give it infect somewhere in there.

Swarmloard is good for late game but hands down, Phyrexian Obliterator is probably the best infect creature for mid to late game. A 5/5 for 4B and Trample with "Whenever a source deals damage to Phyrexian Obliterator, that source's controller sacrifices that many permanents", I wish i had 4 of those. Had this as BUG at first. May make a new BUG.

Swarmlord is 6 mana and i do not have mana ramp. If i did, i would consider that.

Tezzerets gambit is good but the cost may be too high. I would have to play that one out to see.

Giant Growth will be phasing out when inistraad kicks off. Or i would happily have those in there. I agree, so much better than Titanic growth.

Inexorable tide is hot but my deck has no mana ramp so it would have to be cast on or around turn 5. By turn 5 they should be dead. if not then i am in trouble.

Putrefax. again with the 5 mana and no ramp. A combo i would consider is putrefax and sundial of the infinite. Not quite sure of the ruling with Putrefax and Sundial of the infinite. the question being if on the next turn and i am not using the sundial, will i have to sac it. or will i have to keep sundialing every turn to use it.

I do have some bigger creatures in the sideboard but as i said i would either need to play test this or find someone else to play test this.

may make an infect with mana ramp.

Also Goblin Guide and Goblin Bushwacker go away. Here is my goblin deck that, if i was paying attention, will not go away come October.

I works if the semblance anvil makes it to play. at one point i was only paying their colored mana for wurms and free wurmcoil engines. Only played it a few times. If i remember correctly i had to add more mana.

Could you take a look at my speed infect deck? I probably will not have time to play test it anytime soon because of school and work.

There are a few ways this deck can beat speed infect are as follows:

1. Add 4 Mental Misstep to fight against turn 1 infect (This wont work against UberMasterBeef's Speed infect)

2. Add more counter and creature removal. Journey to Nowhere would work here.

3. AEther Adept for bounce back. Also you will only have 8 creatures that are possibly 2 or less mana to cast. (note: legionnaire could be 2 if your willing to take 2 damage)

4. Luck of the draw. You will need to pull mana and cheap creatures on the first few draws. Same goes for speed infect but speed infect has a better chance for that.
