I always wanted to start a Knight deck myself (i used to have one too during the Time Spiral block), and i was thinking about which of my deck ideas to actually start. I realized that this deck doesn't have a strong win condition, and i wasn't sure how to get an overwhelming stampede effect untill i remembered Brave the Elements, which essentially makes all your creatures unblockable (since most people play one or two colored decks). Its very versatile. Adding that and Path to exile would make your mana curve a little better too.

If you haven't seen it yet, take a look at: http://sales.starcitygames.com/carddisplay.php?product=232125 http://sales.starcitygames.com/carddisplay.php?product=230237 The next set (mirrodin besieged) looks like it has quite a few knights (especially since one of the theme decks is based on it). Also, sometime next year (i think 2nd quarter? IIRC) Wizards is releasing a Knights vs. Dragons Dual Deck. Knights look like theyre gonna stay for a while.
Functionally, Disenchant and O. Ring are very similar, so you could remove disenchant, and bump the count for O. Ring up to 4. That gives you 2 slots left, fill with Endless Horizons. If you didnt see it, Endless Horizons makes Armored Ascension very good. :) If you dont have it, or don't have the money, i understand, but Path to Exile is an incredibly potent card and i think should be in every mono white deck. If you can find a way for it to fit in, do so. Its amazing. I dont know for sure on this one, but including Kinsbaile Cavalier sorta gets rid of most of the reason of leveling up Student of Warfare. Double strike counts as first strike as well, so the only benefit is a couple of +1/+1s which you shouldn't be short of with Light from Within and Honor of the Pure. Play test it to be sure, just a speculation. Another suggestion that you should playtest with is Nimbus wings instead of armoured ascension. Its quicker to play. You could also dry Dawn Charm instead of Soul Parry, its more versatile, or Holy Day for a cheaper casting cost.
No point, if he's got True Conviction in there. But Kinsbaile is cheaper to play and indestructable with a Knight Exemplar out, so i'd go with the Cavalier.
You could include Endless Horizons. In the mid game when you already have enough land to play everything, you can use it to get rid of all the land from your deck, and just draw creatures/spells. It adds alot of speed. I would also include Emeria, the Sky Ruin to get back creatures that you lost (combos well with Endless Horizons i think), and/or a sun titan or two (its not a knight, but it helps). I'd replace Arrest with Oblivion Ring.
Easy finishers would either be Overwhelming Stampede/Ezuri, Renegade Leader and/or Genesis Wave. Oran-Rief the Vastwood pairs really well with Genesis wave. Ezuri sorta replaces the need for Asceticism. If you have all your elves tapping for mana, it might be a good idea to include Quest for Renewal, which essentially gives your stuff vigilance (unless youre going against a royal assasin D:) I think you have enough mana ramp where you only need include 20 lands. Playtest it to be sure.
It was, but he standardized it.
I'd try to sneak in another 2 copies of Thoughtweft Trio. That card owns. I'd include sun titan over order of the whiteclay. Same mechanic, but better (even though its not a kithkin).
With regards to everbark shaman, i always used Nameless Inversion in my treefolk deck (since those count as treefolk), and... its pretty much the same as a lightning bolt. Murmuring Bosk is really really good, expecially with Treefolk Harbinger, because Harbinger can tutor a forest, and murmuring bosk is a forest. I'd suggest dropping Black Poplar shaman, or something for Harmonize, or a spell that lets you draw cards.
By having 8 cards in his hand?
Why not try to fit a mycoloth in there?
Why not add Day of Judgement? With Knight exemplar out all your stuff is indestructable. Even if you only have 1 exemplar out, you can bring him back with sun titan, or emeria, the sky ruin. Sejiri steppe doesnt seem that great, since it doesnt have flash. If you get alot of use out of it, i may have to start using it.
I spent a good two minutes wondering where the win condition is in this deck, and realized that you dont actually have chain reaction. Cool idea though.
I just remembered dawn charm, should i put that in here?
Since you have piracy charm in the deck, it's not standard. Since the deck isn't standard take a look at these cards: -Nyxathid -Quest fot the Nihil Stone (this and the previous actually give you a win condition) -The Rack (ugly card, but it could work...) -Beseech the Queen (to search for the cards you need, i.e. liliana or something) -Royal Assasin (for creature removal) -Sign in Blood (for speed) -Hypnotic Specter (for discard) -Ravenous rats (for discard) -Dream Salvage (for speed) -Blizzard Specter (discard, but fits with the u/b theme) -Thoughtseize (expensive... but a really good card) -Tidings (for speed, really beacuse you have mostly low casting costs)
Those cards are great, but they're some of the more expensive ones. This deck is a good way to start off on the less-expensive side of vampires, and then start adding some of the ones you mentioned.
I say this to everyone, but if you want to add a lot of speed to your deck, you should consider using Sign In Blood. Its one of my favorite cards and is invaluble in my black decks.
This is really really cool, to me. I was just thinking that Story Circle wouldnt work, beacuse Stuffy Doll is colorless. You could always use Idyllic Tutor and Paraih, instead.
Theres some basic strategies for building decks. You pretty much always want a bare minimum of 20 lands (thats if all of your creatures are below 4, and you dont rely on it). I used to make decks that were mostly creatures, but now its more 1/2 creatures and 1/2 spells, and that usually works out pretty good. I've found that permanents with mana abilites help alot, when you have the occasional dead draw. You have a bunch of different cards in your list. Play around with them, and find cards that you think dont work as well, and find ones that do. Then try to get 4 copies of them, and elliminate the stuff that doesnt work. You can always google MTG Deckbuilding guides, or look at other decks. The gatherer on MTG.com has a community rathing now, so you can filter your searches so that the good cards come up first. You want to keep the cards you have in intervals of 2 and 4. If you have 12 or 13 different cards that you want to use, i dont see a probalem with using 3 of each. I use cardkingdom.com to get commons that i need, and ebay for the rares and stuff that are cheaper than cardkingdom. Cardkingdom has pretty cheap promos compared to everyone else (atleast i think).
Naya charm is really a card that can win you alot of games. If you build up your 5/5 army, and block what you can and take some damage, you can tap all of your opponents creatures and then attack. If your opponent cant counter it, or doesn thave something along the lines of dawn charm/holy day: game over. I would use it. Cliffrunner and Spellbreaker are good too. Theres the classic Birds of Paradise, but.... those can get costly. Boggart Ram-Gang, Naya Hush-Blade, and Mighty Emergence are cards i use.
