Theswarmer:Add one bojuka bog, then keep track of its success on a notepad.Note only when it locked down your opening AND you lost, and note down when it took down a graveyard AND you won. Play enough games with the notepad nearby and you will know if you can add one after about 20 games where it surfaces.

Nice to see someone else toy with the eldrazi :)I'm having a blast at reminding people of them these days.Playing polymorph and similar means you need to cut down on all creatures except the big mothers you want to dig for, otherwise you just polymorph into some random creature. You might want to consider taking a look at the green stuff from the eldrazi days, there's growth spasm, awakening zone and other ways to get zions and spawns into play without needing a creature card.If you search for cards with devoid, you will also find a counterspell that produces a creature. Also you could play with [[coax from the blind eternities]] which polymorph will pass by, but will allow you to play an eldrazi creature from the sideboard. As an example of what you could have in the sideboard to fetch with this, there is [[eldrazi obligator]] which is sort of like claim the firstborn.
What other rules aspects should be covered ?1: What's the minimum amount of creatures a deck must have ?2: what if someone builds a deck with two creature types, for example a deck with only goblin warriors, but they are both goblins and warriors, making the deck having two creature types.3: what defines creature types? Does "jobs" count as creature types or is it more a racial definition ?You can also use the tag: pcf It's currently not in use by anyone, so it would be a good idea to take it now :)Only the first 4 tags will be visible on the "pages"The last 4 tags will be visible when people look at the deck, so the first tag you give the deck is the most important.I've got an article about that.Search for the decktag: wdm 2018Then click the deck "how to be more visible"
If you haven't noticed, there is an influx in pauper players at the moment, so go search for pauper decks if you want to get in touch.Love seeing augur of bolas again :)
No cockatrice, but I might give it a try anyways.Copy paste the rules here.I got a wast memory and is damn creative, so I might Swamp you in ideas :)I remember when I learned about pre-modern I wrote down about 60 deck concepts from memory, and it turns out most had forgotten about them. One of them was reap-lace.
The thing about being organized is that it takes practice. All skills are gainable if you train them.I used to be rather disorganised in the past, but I have trained myself to be better. I'm also at the edge of reorganizing my tag system so that it will be much easier to read through my stuff.A lot of it is about how to tweak your deck in strange and wondrous ways :)
Nice :)I've only ever created two formats and one isn't really a format.Back before I started focusing on building decks via evolution I was trying to find ways to create deck builds much faster. The result was the concept of halfdecks. You designed 30 card decks that could stand alone, and then you shuffled it together with another random halfdeck. The key idea was that if you have 10 halfdecks they can be combined in 45 different combinations. From a pro view the idea was to design meta based halfdecks where you could go to the local gamestore, take a look at the players, and knowing what they usually plays you could then pick the two halves that had the optimal chances of beating them.Decktag: halfdeckThis decktag actually had a lot of followers at a time, but in the end it turned out that people had very different ideas on how to employ it. But someone with a solid competitive playgroup might be able to generate some insane lists. At one point in time I took the effort to dissect most modern decks into two halves just to see if it was doable. So it can be used competitively. You should add format rules. I know that many people in here love new formats :)
Just before the corona, the 93/94 wast starting to really spike up. If you can track down the price history of the cards you should be able to see how high the price level was at pre-Corona. With my ties to the pro mtg gaming community I was just about to be recruited for a "gamers" tv show called "troldspejlet" where I was supposed to talk about why 93/94 was starting to be increasingly popular. Corona swathed that...93/94 has such a solid fanbase that during the corona it's been played by using internet webcams and mobile phones. It has still held paper tournaments.Once the corona lifts there will be a lot of hype around this format.
I'm a miller :)I've also had games with it where I turned land stuff into basic lands. Can't remember the context, but it locked them lands down just as good as a stifle, but in multiples. My best guess is that I had a wasteland. Then I'd try to color their fetch, and if they did nothing I'd waste the land, if they fetched I'd waste what they fetched. Something like that. I just remember that vision charm was as good as stifle
The deck needs to cast just two land playing spells to do that. My build features[[Dryad of the elysian grove]], [[Explore]], [[sakura tribe elder]] and [[search for tomorrow]].[[Treefolk harbinger]] adds more landfetching to ensure that [[explore]] can play a land.In some games I've had 8 lands in play at turn 4.(Only happens with multiple explore)The overall gameplay consists or sequencing the spells in order to remove and play as many lands as possible that you ideas your odds of drawing into combo pieces.I play [[bring to light]], [[dryad of the elysian grove]], [[prismatic omen]] and [[scapeshift]] as combo pieces.I've been spending 7 days on adjusting the numbers of each card with evolution to cut out a maximum number of cards and still be able to play 5 lands and combo out as easy as possible.I might be able to get 11 blank cards, which is pretty cool.My goal is to spice up the archetype with eldrazi, but any scapeshift player who has played the bring to light variant will be able to fill it with counterspells rather than eldrazi, though they might consider the merits that thought-knot seer has.I have a 2018 scapeshift testdeck with bring to light, and having testing against it with mill it would sometimes be robbed of its combo, and then it's only kill would be lightning bolt, sakura tribe elder and [[primeval titan]].I wanted to brew a more aggressive variant that could play some big reckless eldrazi. I might be able to do that with [[matter reshaper]], [[thought-knot seer]] and [[reality smasher].
I've always loved one certain play in legacy :)Land, lotus petal, phyrexian dreadnought, vision charm. It's similar to what stevenicus is trying at.
Isn't that format called "tribal" ?I've made a format of my own :)It can sort of incorporate tribal. You choose a keyword, and all your cards must have that exact word either in the name or in the flavortext. The only disadvantage of the format is that unless you use proxies it's a rich persons format...
Ah, well. One can only have that many projects.I got sidetracked on my eldrazi project by eldrazi cards :)Currently I'm evolving an "eldrazi scapeshift" deck that may end up with a number of tree folk. Why add treefolk?I took a long look at the landfetching spells available, and then tried out some interactions.I was pretty surprised to discover that "treefolk harbinger" and "explore" is insane together...I did not see that comming, so with an explosive manacurve designed to kill with scapeshift at turn 4, there is enough lands in the deck to support large eldrazi, but treefolk harbinger can fetch treefolk, creating the basis for a fast hybrid deck. The eldrazi part is based on games where it's not possible to scapeshift, and with 4 eldrazi temple it will be possible to play eldrazi at a cost range of between 7-11.I'm also incorporating "bring to light" to combo of reliably, but the card may also fetch "thought-knot seer" or "reality smasher" I also hope to add "matter reshaper"
Don't sell anything before long after the corona.Prices will go higher when it's over :)
So, what's the update on your project 100% unique build?
It's become an expensive format again, well before the corona, so this is probably the time to buy into the format, before social happenings become a thing again. You can see some of my builds.search for the decktag: 93/94
It's what I like about the game, you can run the same basical strategy in several colors which causes variations.Same same, but different. The game is such a nice platform to study evolution.I've stolen many tricks from nature during my own evolution projects. When it was discovered that male sperm in many organisms mutated more when the male gets older. That means the first array of children are similar to the father, but nature is gambling with the later generations. I simply had to add that concept to my own.Later I added "stress" as driver. If the deck won a battle, it's spawn would gain a number of mutations based on how many life points it won with. No loss of life would give the deck a 100% cloned child. If the deck had lost lots of life it's child would gain a lot of random mutations. That way, a successful deck would spread exponentially, until something started to hurt it and it would start to mutate. Once a population like this grew large enough to encounter versions of itself, it would usually start branching out in variations. It's the giraffes bottleneck again, the successfull species is it's own primary competitor. We will be subject to this ourselves. The more widespread we become, the more nature will adapt us against our selves. But human ethics treat us all as the same, so I wonder how far this will go on before we declare someone inhuman. It's likely what happened with all the past humanoids, at some point we just went to war and gave up on differences. It's probably the reason why racism is still around, millions of years after.
I've had a lot of pestilence brews in the olden days.
I got a few 93/94 decks on my own :)Looks decent enough.I'm a lot into covering numbers, and have a past with simulated mana. From that past I know that old school is actually a format where you need to have 26-27 manasources. One of my friends has repeatedly won 93/94 championships and he's admitted that he uses that number of sources. He usually has 4-5 moxen and a lotus in the builds, but still has 26 sources.
Found it.Theres a black counterspell, pay 5 life or spell is countered which might fit right in.Can't remember the name, card was from around timespiral cycles, and alfred mentioned it recently.Could be it's called dash Hope.
