Shrapnel blast is there to sac the walker, so if he keeps the walkers and the 22 mana setup it has a purpose. Otherwise I'd say galvanic blast is the way to go, and I'm still not believing in the walker setup :)

I'd say that if you scrap the walkers you can get down to 18 mana.If you replace ghostfire blade with cranial plating you will be close enough to older affinity builds to pull it of.
Glad to see you are making yourself busy :)There is some troll activity at the moment, so I'm chatting this post up to make you visible.I'm extremely busy myself at the moment as I've discovered a new way to use evolution to create decks faster. It's an awfully long story, but I've tried for years to create a way to build decks from scratch, making them competitive within a month. If you haven't looked at my RW prison project yet, you might want to take a look at it now.(It uses the decktag: wdm prison2)The first deck you find will have a link to the "masterpage" of the project, and as you will notice it's a very large project, but try not to be intimidated by the sheer size of the project. The overall concept is to generate a deck-core by play testing a lot and removing the worst performing cardsI usually remove the 9 worst cards to form a new core. Then I research and brainstorm for new tech to add to the deck, basically I get to add 9 cards, but there are so many options which is why I use a special technique to test all of them at the same time.I've been thinking a bit on how to transfer a project like this to arena, so if you ever want to try out having a longterm project I can get you started on it with a little training.Having a longterm project also seems to generate viewers who take an interest in the project, sort of like the way cgb (covertgoblue) is always returning back to yorion and "sharknado"/shark typhoon.Let me know when you are ready for a largescale :)You can contact me on any of my prison variants.
Also, I'm working hard on my wr prison deck series(Search for the decktag: wdm prison2)I think it would be fun to see what you could make out of it.There is always 9 cards missing from the core, and I'd love to hear what 9 cards you would add to bring all the pieces together. There are about 18 alternate versions of it exploring very different directions if you want to see how much 9 cards can change how a deck looks.
I'm including it into my "rw prison collection" Where I also name drop your work.I placed my own focus on 3 strict Proctor because it allows you to use etb tricks for a price.I used 3 Hunted lammasu and 3 hunted dragon as hunted combos.
You've been out of the loop for a long time. This variant of mill has managed to become forgotten by all but me.We have an array of creatures designed for this decktype but wizards sort of released them far too late for anyone to put the clues together. We now have 1 more creature like Jace's phantasm, we got a life gaining version of the precinct wight. We got two flying mill creatures that mill 1 when attacking, one black and one blue.We got some very large defensive creatures that can only block when enough is milled, one of them can actually go large in aggro.Mill has received a bunch of cards, and I'd gladly put a name on the cards if you are gonna build the deck in real life to go to tournaments. This is one of the most interesting mill archetypes that got forgotten by millers...
Not bad :)
I've been playing with proxies and paperstrips for years and actually have several sets of the first sleeves made.People break sleeves by not caring about them.I first started on using paperstrips to analyse what would happen if I cut a 4th raging goblin, so I can safely say paperstrips don't harm sleeves. I've played with both proxies and paperstrips in sleeves.I use old lands and token cards with strips most of the time.I've been talking with people who use alternate art which makes the cards slightly different, and you can even used colored markers to plant a small dot on cards to make it distinct, those who do this won't need the paperstrips but if someone notice the dot at a sale it will lessen the value. There are places to plant them where people wont notice them and theoretically, during games if one of your cards are more worn, you can do some additional math that people who don't distinguish between the cards can. In the first years of fallen empires this was really abused. The advantage to alternate art cards is good if you want to use math or tracking card performance. The effect was so good during the fallen empire that it actually made mint cards more valuable, because if you did not have a math mind, you could at least stop math minds from reading your deck by playing scrà tchfree identical cards. For example if you had two different Swamp pictures and the opponent had discarded you the turn before, and you played the Swamp they hadn't seen, then they would know you have a land in hand and that you drew that other land. For the superior mathminds having individual looking cards is an advantage which is why there is really such a huge pressure at alternate arts being printed. For example, in the oldschool formats 93/94, homemade alternate art is allowed in a huge scale, as the cards are really hard to get, but many mathminds also exploit that there is so much alternate art around in the format.
I usually use scryfall as my search engine.Sometimes you can find sets being pro spoiled if you know how to search for the right keyword.
The pilgrim is like tallowisp it only gets auras. An aura is an enchantment that must enchant a permanent.Moon-blessed cleric gets other types of enchantments as well.Since all three are in white, perhaps theres basis for an aura tooldeck in commander?Cards like nahiri's binding, spirit link and other creature locking auras. Or armadillo cloak :)
Just be carefull, once you start measuring cards you might end up spending days on using paperstrips as a tool to track the performance of every card in your deck :)*** warning *** putting paperstrips inside the sleeves with a card will damage the paint on it after hundreds of measuring.
One way of testing it is that whenever one of them is played you put a copy of the other nearby and place counters on both for each life they take. That way you can slowly write down how much damage each one deals, and in the end you can calculate their averages.
Hmm, call it "under treasure" or "chess-y deliver" .When I saw this title I thought I was gonna see a moon-blessed cleric combo.
He's a nice guy that responds when you talk to him, and you both have the same goal if you can work together, and you certainly give this place a wider audience than it would have without you :)
Sad. How about a cheap cannot be targeted effect ?Phasing is back so there might be a phasing spell.
Have you fully analysed the damage dealt with quietus? They might drop from 14 to 7, but from there it just halves again. Have you measured the full number of turns it takes to kill with it, compared to without it ?I love the new avatars because they are revoke and fit into an ensnaring bridge design I have where I stop the big aggro by getting rid of my hand.I've been thinking if there is a way to cheat a card like squee, goblin nabob back out of exile with a few eldrazi processor. It's a far out idea, but my deck is of the long game control type so it might be possible for me to exploit it, but I mention it so you at least know of the trick.
Hey Gary,We've got a few new users with podcasts and youtubing. One of them, user: dninja89 is promoting mtgvault on youtube.I've been trying to connect those people a bit and maybe you have an interest in doing so yourself. There are two other users who are channeling magic.Magicaidsyoutube who's been here for a long time and have created lots of content over the yearsMagicbrospodcast is someone who hasn't responded but that might be because they keep missing notifications.I hope you can use this info...
Nice with the brief mtg vault screenshots you put in your videos. The designer of this place has the username: gary And since promoting people like you would be part of any plan of world domination, we should perhaps give him a hint that he might see a surge in new users, and that he should maybe make some adaptations oriented on different media platforms.I'll reach out to him, but if you got any ideas on how to improve the place, he's the big go to.
Yeah that's a good call. Why quietus spike ? Bassilisk collar used to have that slot back in the eldrazi days where it would be equipped on the ballista to ping stuff to death. Not sure that ballista would work in this, but collar will.
Does arena have spellskite or "flagbearers" (opponent must target those first) or other effects that can take instants ?
