Yeah, that's the world for us now. Dumb rich people can buy smart people for just a little extra cash. That's why I'm so focused on breaking down how we are enslaved by structures. I'm searching for a new type of power that beats money and status, and I'm hellbent on breaking it, though I am a bit at a loss on how to do it, which is why I'm creating some really weird personal structures to sort of "get in the game" one of my most recent tries is "the design devil" a bunch of cards with a different form of critique on each. The idea is that everytime I've constructed something I draw a card to let the design devil taunt my design and suggest a direction in which I could improve my work. One card can tell me that my project is too headstrong and futuristic and that I should integrate more of the past into it. Another card will call my project to oldschool and suggest I try to think ahead and see how the design might look in the future. The number of cards in my design devil is slowly increased as I try to think of as many obscure ways to improve my work as possible. It's a way to force myself into being smarter and more creative, and I'm thinking about making other types of guides.Task cards already exists, but it can be done a lot more advanced. One goal is to create some sort of hybrid between tarot cards and magic that can work as a functional and effective advisor which can guide me and help me create more enslaving structures. It might seem odd, but to break free I need to study why we choose this kind of slavery.

My numbers are all simulations. Before I got competitive I was always playing 20 lands no matter the cost of my cards. Even stuff like jokulhaups.
Ah, if only I could.Being smart is no longer the moneymaker it used to be.I have so many economical schemes, and a lot of them got locked down by the corvid.Almost all of them involves selling my creativity somehow. Rpg scenarios and random encounter systems, boardgames, proxy decks, halfdecks, deckguides, homemade mazes, occult drawings and a hell of a lot more stuff.I even try to rent out some of my apartment. And I collect thrown out furniture to sell it cheap once I get online (which is also an incentive to buy that computer) I've found pretty good stuff on my walks past an area of villa's.Anyways, I'm heading for the bed.Read you in 8 hours :)
Do you know if your ratio is based of some of frank karstens research ?I've never sat down and done the numbers for 61 cards myself.
I haven't figured it out :)Must admit I haven't thought too much about it, because you must have had your reasons.
This reminds me, we've never talked about your deckbuilding process and why it gives you your card # 61.
Unless it's your secret secret deck. The one you wouldn't post before it's gone from the meta :)
It's been awhile since your last official post. What you brew in secret, stays secret.
Good to see you building again :)
Artfull :)Some of the basics from the Egyptian cycle has bolas horns on them, which would add to the bold bolasness
Ah, that explains it.I love symmetry in deckdesigns :)You may have an asymmetrical number of cards in some colors, but the symmetry is still there.
So what does the 20/20/20+ mean ?I guess it's somehow a way to break the deck into 5 similar parts ?
It's been a while since I've seen a tiny leader deck.Has there been any interesting developements in the format ?Has it gained some pro homepages/links?
Reminds me a little of the fun I've had with phyrexian metamorph :)
If there are new cards that replicate the effect of mind over matter, then they are probably improved versions of the card and more expensive.I think there has been printed at least one alternative version, but I can't put a name on it :(
I look at almost all new decks, but I'm not commenting too often on commander as it isn't a format I've ever played.I play thousands of games to improve my deck, and the thought of shuffling 100 card decks a thousand times isn't a nice one when you shuffle so much.I know a lot of people are looking in on decks, but the "views" counter is a little broken, so there are often less viewers than you'd think. And people have sort of given up on likes. It's more friendly to upvote comments in a "face to face" talk.
No no, since you have 14 in the sideboard I assumed you have lurrus as a companion. And lurrus says you can't build a deck with permanents costing more than 2 in the mainboard, if it's a companion. When most mill decks are displayed on the net, the sideboards with 14 cards in them are always having a companion.I'm an ancient miller and one of the few players who actually keeps track of decks in the past and builds mill based on much more info than other millers do.I got a lot of tips on how to play around all those decktypes on the list because I'm constantly focusing on beating similar builds.Visions of the beyond for example started seeing play in 2012 where it was played with snapcaster mage. The meta faced snapcaster mage in many decks and one day started playing relic of progenitus to deal with snapcaster, which has since seen play in low amounts and only when relic is less seen. Mill got seriously weakened by this move as snapcaster, visions of the beyond and surgical extraction are extremely weakened by relic of progenitus. Since then, mill became a fringe deck, and the lists changed very little but you can read all of that in the article.Try replacing visions of the beyond with overwhelmed apprentice. If you look at many of my older deck builds you will see sage of Epityr a lot, and I'm currently measuring how well overwhelmed apprentice can replace it in mill, and it's great. It gives early information about the opponents deck, it's a decent chumpblocker, and it's able to fix your mana if you draw a 1 land hand. Lategame you can use it to ensure that you draw fetchlands for your crabs. It generates a lot more card quality than visions of the beyond can do with a beefed up draw.
Protection from black and white can be extremely powerfull.(I usually go to stillmoon cavalier for that power)You might consider wanting to get your commander flying somehow.Didn't you have more decks listed at some time ?
The hell ?You got a -1 downvote ?!I ofcourse upvoted it back to 0.
Ensnaring bridge is a permanent that costs 3.Lurrus does not allow that when it's a companion.Regardless you will lose against the following decks:Tron type decksAffinity stonebladeBoglesDeath's shadow type decksHumansMono red prowressRakdos goblinsThe reasons for these loses varies, but I got most of it covered in my many articles about mill. The most recent I've posted can be found if you:Search for the decktag: wdm 2018Then click on the deck called "mill data you wont like"I extract my information on matchups from mtgmeta.io
