So i did a lot of toying with the mana base last night, really trying to get it viable to consistently turn 3 the seismic assault. adding the raging ravine for a manland. hopefully you guys like the improvement!

anytime MTGduke, magic is all about trial and error, but sometimes the rest of us have already made some of the mistakes for you! never hurts to try different cards

i will admit some fear over running ghost quarters and tec edge, i really want to get seismic assault out as early as possible. i feel i need it out fast enought to get around control. i am open to ideas though. i feel ravens crime and flame jab help to trigger pyromancer

so this is hilarious... an apparently works. i think this is the perfect deck for dig through time, it lets you go find your combo peices, then maybe even sideboard vexing shusher to push through counterspells

absolutly disgusting.... i love it!
since you are splashing blue i think snapcaster mage in place of ooze. you could reuse your graveyard spells that way. and path to exile seems like a playable card here

wow i just caught the tail end of this convo *CRAZY!* but anyways its a cool list. i have a set of promo vengevines i wanna put to use, but havent touched them since the deathrite shaman banning.

In legacy meta you usually dont see very many control decks running big creatures. there are many more running batterskull, cheap goblins, delver, stoneforge mystic, thalia, young pyromancer

and i would run sorrow and bile blight, they are that good together

yea idk if i would mainboard anger without a stronger control shell. the eidolon would be sb to turn off ascendency combo decks, they cant drop bribers purse 60 times to mill you if they lose 2 everytime. you would run it for the same reason burn runs it in modern and legacy, your opponents life total matters more than yours.

SB- Bile blight, eidolon of great revel, despise. i would cut the mainboard howl of the horde for goblin rabblemasters, and maybe splash blue for dictate of kruphix

i really like the list. what are you running in modern right now? you have a couple cool modern lists

so you can run cheap free spells with kiln fiend for epic early wins! a cool chain is gut shot, then noxious revival it, then gitaxian probe to draw the gut shot again, then play it again!! thats 4 spells for no mana, so if you lightning bolt them and they have no blockers you win!

thank you for the comment! yes i do need lilianas and 2 more bob's, i was basically building this out of cards in hand. ive had some trouble with twin and scapeshift, which is why the SB has control hate and why i have the thoughtseize. the darkblast really hose soul sisters, delver, and some other decks filled with weenies, but it is probably a better SB card. i did make some mana base changes, i cut 3 shocklands for some friendlier lands. i need the fetches to help put lands in the graveyard, although i am considering running more basics to let me use the blood moons more freely

i think i would run abrupt decay and smother over putrify and hero's downfall. less mana and they will hit everything you would see in legacy

Your deck motivated me to make my own assault loam. little more extended-traditional. let me know what you think

your modern brews all lok promising. although i would cut muderous cut for slaughter pact, its such a suprise card. i think brimaz may be a good sb card, one of few creatures at his mana cost that survives bolt, and rakdos charm sb, really helps to beat up storm and splintertwin
