Yeah threw in some Planeswalker support and one psychic spiral and took out the fleecemanes for counterspells to protect the combo. I found that as long as I get fathom mage first, I flash in Horizon Chimera end of opponent's turn and then play archangel and the combo activates as soon as it hits the board.

Adjusted the deck after a few plays. See what you think now.

Also see what you think of my mono red deck. It's pretty damn fast.

Cartel Aristocrat and Gift of Immortality to spam Ashen Rider's ability.
I've already done an extremely similar idea in a Junk format. Have a look, it might give you some ideas.
Also there's no need to try to hardcast Ashen rider. If you can get it in the graveyard there is Obzedat's aid.

Yeah that is good point. I will most likely sideboard that way every time. But for the first few games I want to see if first I can get off the Ashen Rider / Gift of Immortality / Cartel Aristocrat "combo". If I find it's not a strong combo I'll go for the filtering tactic.

Had it, I can get more utility out of Deathrite shaman and I can have multiples of that. The whip was just too clunky. Same with Erebos himself. The whip only really works with Obzedat, as you can exile it with it's own ability before the whip. And since I'm putting so much land into the graveyard it worked so well in Goldfish games. I'll find out Thursday night, get's its cherry popped then :P

Yeah it looks alright, have you gotten a chance to playtest it yet? Looks like once it gets going it'll be hard to stop. Have you thought about Omenspeaker in this deck, or no need for it? I've also updated my Junk Rites deck, after a few Goldfish games, I've felt it's needed the alterations to it. can I get your thoughts?

Thoughtseize takes care of any problem cards already. But I did consider them. Your Boros deck is pretty good too btw, I did a similar thing, have a look at it to see if it gives you any helpful ideas for yours.

I took out rescue from the underworld, but a few play tests may bring it back in dues to Ashen Rider's ability. I want to put Obzedat in, I might just knock out Erebos if he doesn't pan out well enough. I'm not sure about abrupt decay, will have to see how many cheap permanents will be played to see if they are worth being in. This will most likely change over time, I really need to play it to finetune it. But this is the general idea I want to go with.

That's why you have a sideboard. The cards you want but can't fit go there.

It's not about the devotion it's about the +1+1 bonus to elementals.
Having said that he needs to get rid of Nykthos. Not enough devotion to take advantage of it.

Agree with Ninja. Xenagos = Aggro win. Actually I'd say you're both right. Midrange aggro.... Dork Burning Tree Dork Xenagos, TO THE FACE!!!!! I quite like this deck.... I'd also mainboard Magma Jet and Side Mizzium.

I realised last night I need to sideboard in about 2 psychic spirals. Suggestions on what to replace?

Gray Merchant doesn't want to be your friend! It want's to be your secret lover!!! If you want to make it doubly effective, Disciple of Phenax and Desecration Demon. All possible sideboard options.

Not bad, like it. if you wanted to splash white you could do something like this.

Personally I'd knock out the Beetleform Mages and Nimbus swimmers and focus more on what you have, 3 of all the 2 of creatures and 4 master biomancers.
