You don't require it to win and it's more of a look I can do it this way too card. So 1 or 2 is fine. Some don't even run it.

You have access to red so Shattering Spree is one of my Favourites.
I would run 2 of each fetch and also don't underestimate basic lands You will want at least 3 or 4. It really sucks not getting the benefit from being Path to Exiled or Ghost Quartered (Two cards which see a lot of play in modern). Having 1 or 2 copies of Celestial Colonnade works great too in here.

I see, it is smart to play according to your meta. Just letting you know that it will shut you down. Imagine play testing against it. :)

Nice deck +1 from me man. Maybe think of Engineered Explosives over ratchet bomb and I would add Torpor Orb to the sideboard as well.

Looks very good man. Only things I would consider would be adding a combination of Scalding Tarn, Arid Mesa and Flooded Strand fetch lands. As well consider a bit of artifact hate since Torpor Orb will shut this deck down hard if it happens to resolve.
Happy Casting :)

Personally I like Dismember over Terminate. Reasons being that Dismember can deal with God's, Phyrexian Obliterators and other nasty creatures with similar abilities. Not to mention it can be paid for a singular black in a pinch. As for the deck really nice but I noticed you virtually no artifact hate when one of the biggest threats to Splinter Twin is Torpor Orb. That will really shut you down and the only way you have to deal with it is Cryptic/Thoughtsieze. Just spitting out ideas and these are just my opinions, something to consider.
Happy casting :)

For starters I would drop both the orbs. They hinder you and pretty much just piss everyone off. You would also be safe cutting down to 35 lands from 37 in a mono colour deck. Smokestack is kinda in the same field as the orbs since it hurts you as well and why do you wanna play it? Birthing Pod is a mystery to me in EDH I just don't know how effective it is when it's not in a constructed deck built around it. After that I would consider cutting 2 or 3 High CMC creatures, there all great but do you really need that many pick your favs and I'm sure the deck will work without what you pick. Hope this helps some, there just my opinions. :) Happy Casting.

You should replace Clone with Clever Impersonator. It's just better for the same cmc. 4 Cruel Ultimatums is probably to many as well. You never wanna have 2 in hand. Wow just noticed 75? You gotta do some major cuts to get down to 60.

Here's my similarly inspired yet completely opposite deck. :) Any suggestions are welcome.

Nice I built my mono black EDH deck similarly by grabbing my favourite cards. My suggestions/opinions would be to add more mana acceleration. Caged Sun is better then Gauntlet of Power since it wont potentially help your opponent even tho it costs 1 more to play. Extraplanar Lens is another great mana accelerator in a mono colour deck and along the same lines Burnished Hart has been surprisingly helpful.
Happy Casting :)

Exactly true, this can easily be applied to what you Thoughtsieze out of someones hand on turn 1. Example be do you take out the high mana costing creature/sorcery which won't come into play for another 4 or so rounds. Or do you remove the Intangible Virtue which will come into play following turn. I for one will take the immediate threat and believe that is the proper play because of what it DOES now.

Good choice super annoying to play against, not as bad as playing against Derevi but still annoying. In an enchantment heavy deck like this your gonna wanna play Academy Rector, Enlightened Tutor, Idyllic Tutor and definitely Sterling Grove. I also think Kira, Great Glass-Spinner fits perfectly in here. With your mana curve as high as it is you should think about adding some type of ramp as well.

As well the tried and true Naturalize is a better choice then Fade to Antiquity. Unless you happen to be going up against particular Gods in your local meta.

Nice deck man, I love the simplicity while being effective of a green stompy deck. Only thing Ithink you should really consider is Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, it can really pump mana out in this deck.

Nice deck man +1 from me. I'm not a huge fan of the Dimir Signet outside of EDH so I think you would be better off with 2 copies of Fabricate main deck to grab which ever 1 of artifact you need at any particular moment.

It's mainly for nostalgia but it does have the small chance of dealing damage when Shrieking Affliction wouldn't. That said more often then not it would sideboard out for Shrieking Affliction game 2 or 3 (depending on how the game went) in the hopes my opponent had added a bit of artifact hate.

Personally I really like what Bakaburger1 has done here, tried to help out the newer players of the game by making some really useful statements and helpful advise (even if obvious to some). Which then snowballed into some of the best advise I've read on this site made by some very experienced players who's opinions I personally have come to respect.
So I give a +1 and props to Bakaburger for initiating this conversation.
