I may very well be wrong but it just seems so risky putting faith like that in a weak creature in a meta game with so much removal.

I will also add that there is a part of me that thinks a designer for wizards was holding a copy of Force of Savagery in his hand while creating Savage Summoning. All while saying aloud "Who will be the first to combine the two."
OK I completely forgot to explain my thoughts on Geopede. I see the scenario play out this way. Game 1 you cast a Geopede and your opponent doesn't think much of it. You follow by getting lucky and landing with a 5/5 Geopede. That will be the last time in the match up it will happen, at least in a competitive atmosphere. Modern as meta has a ton of removal and everybody plays it. Geopede doesn't have haste and your deck has no way of protecting him during your opponents turn when it will most likely die. The way I was implying you should play Seismic Assault is as soon as you have it and Crucible of Worlds on the battlefield every land from then on goes graveyard battlefield making all your lands from then on Shocks, with no downfall. At least until your opponent deals with them. As far as Ghost Quarter being the "main" win con I don't see it. It helps greatly to disrupt many decks which relay on specific lands like in Tron but for the most part people keep the proper basics in their decks to play around it. If I'm missing something on the subject please elaborate. If I come off blunt at all it is not my intention.
Thank you for the suggestions, they make perfect sense. :)
+1 From me, happy to see another great deck of yours. I have come to the conclusion your a great deck builder who likes to build based on the premise of having FUN playing a GAME. (which is becoming a rare thing) I came up with this idea the other day and would love some feed back if possible.http://www.mtgvault.com/maniacalmaniac/decks/hasty-savage-beating/I apologize for the selfish plug, tis not my intention to offend.
No worries man just giving my opinion :) There all U/W cause many have done the play testing to realize it's more consistent. As we all know consistency is one of the most important things in a successful deck build. BTW I hate plugging my decks but I would really appreciate some feed back on this one if you have the time.http://www.mtgvault.com/maniacalmaniac/decks/hasty-savage-beating/
K it's a great deck/concept in my opinion, however with a few changes I think it could be better. For starters I don't think the Fetchs are all that beneficial to you, the opposite actually. There are a few reasons for this in short it's a mono colored deck and statistics say you don't see the thinning effect until turn 12 if I'm not mistaken. Here are two different articles that support my statement which were written by fellows who did the extensive math involved. There worth a read.http://magic.tcgplayer.com/db/print.asp?ID=3096http://magic.tcgplayer.com/db/article.asp?ID=3121So if you do decide to agree with me you can replace the fetchs with basic mountains allowing you to play 2 Blood Moon which is a huge obstacle for many decks. I would -1 Plated Geopede -1 Wildfire for this. Then I would take full advantage of Crucible of Worlds by playing 3 Seismic Assault. I would -1 Plated Geopede -1 Molten Rain and -1 Thundermaw Hellkite for this. In the sideboard all I think you need is 1 or 2 copies of Engineered Explosives which help greatly against Meerfolk, Tokens Affinity. These are simply my opinions take them for what they are, another opinion from stranger "trying" to help. Happy Casting!
Nice deck. What kind of win % are you sitting at (ruffly)? If I were to suggest anything it would be to replace See Beyond with Serum Visions. Sure you won't get that extra card but you get to dig 1 deeper and more set up for miracles. As far as Bonfire of the Damned is concerned I would take it out all together and put Terminus to 4 and add 1 Temporal Mastery. That would allow you to change your mana base around eliminating red all together creating room for a 4th Colonnade. As well this would let you decrease your fetchs which on occasion will screw your miracle set ups. In sideboard replace Wear/Tear with Disenchant. This is simply my opinion take it for what it is. By all means disregard and keep it the same. Happy Casting
Please give me some input on this deck. I would love to make this work.
turn 2 eldrazi with annihilator on them are pretty frigging ridiculous.
cool cool. I know some don't care but it's just craziness if you ask me. And if thats what your going up against get 4 channels and some eldrazi to shut them up
The restricted rules are there for a reason. It makes for a more enjoyable game all around. If not you could channel on turn 2 and cast Emrakul every game. At least with having Channel a 1 of in the deck it only happens half the time. lol
cool BTW Sol Ring and Demonic tutor are in the same category, 1 of's. As well as Balance, in my opinion they are the 3 strongest cards in magic. If your deck has access to the color and your friends don't care put 1 in every deck you can. They win games.
BTW it's funny to me to have a Myr conversation in a Zombie deck build. :) Just sayin. LOL
No it doesn't It has to do with the type cast on the card, Turbine and Reservoir are considered artifact B/C that's it's type when Myr creatures have the Myr type

If you don't care about that add 4 Sol Rings and 4 Demonic Tutors. = You win
I mean it's a restricted card and the deck isn't even legal with more then 1 in the vintage format. The majority of people at least follow that. http://archive.wizards.com/Magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=judge/resources/banned
I agree with Jessie on the Blossoms. This is a great build but I really don't see this being able to deal with the current tier 1 decks in modern. So it probably would be all for not anyway. However I just started playing modern 7 months ago and still have a lot to learn so take that whatever it is. lol, just an opinion
