Hi Follower, Help me celebrate my 150th deck by suggesting creatures to bring into the battlefield using mass polymorph. Deck link: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=354841 Look forward to your suggestions, Planestalker

This is my sort of silly deck! cut 3 Crushers and add 1 Fling Insist that you can mulligan as long as you get all land mulligan hands. Then you have a 50% chance of mulliganing to Crusher.
Tremorth, Have left comments and suggestions on your burn deck posting.
Hi Tremorth, You asked me to take a look at your deck. First off, the deck will need a sideboard if you want the deck to be taken seriously. I'm not a big fan of Goblin Arsonist or Goblin Fireslinger. Prefer Keldon Marauders, Figure of Destiny and Hellspark Elemental but they don't make sense in a deck that is sporting goblin grenade so I guess they all should stay. If you put in 4 Great Furnace and 4 Darksteel Citadel and you could run Kuldotha Rebirth and if your play group doesn't mind you playing a Legacy banned card add 4 Black Vise. Personally I'd run Fireblast over Demonfire. Winds of Change I'd change out for Price of Progress. Finally, replace 2 mountain with 2 Barbarian Ring. I recently have been working on making low cost legacy decks that are based on major Tourney winning decks. Here is the link to the Red Deck Wins deck: Deck link: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=354189 Here is the link to the Goblin deck: Deck link: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=354232 These decks should give you ideas about how to make a sideboard and cards that have worked well in tourney environment. May always make your own good luck, Planestalker
Hi Sunblast'em, Thanks for the catch on Mox Diamond it was a mental error on my part it was supposed to be Chrome Mox I got the two confused. Some of your suggestions while well intentioned don't quite work within the rational of the deck. The idea of Forbidden Orchard replacing Chrome Mox defeats the purpose of using an artifact source which is in deck to allow the possiblity of getting one extra mana source on a turn just like lotus petal. Dross havester is there to allow the infinite life combo and can be a early game blocker/attacker. Thoughtseize to used to help protect the casting of the combo especially if you are playing more conservatively and not just hoping the opponent doesn't have something to disrupt the combo. Thoughtseize also is an awesome card to disrupt opponent's plans, maybe not as good as Duress as its a sorcery not an instant, but it can discard disruptive creature cards like Meddling Mage which Duress can't. It is exactly because the deck is not also packing 4 Duress that I consider this deck only good for casual play. If the deck fitted in 4 Duress and Thoughtseize some people might consider working to make this deck tournament worthy. Sensei's Divining Top is an interesting idea, but I already have 6 better search cards in the deck. Ancient Stirrings is a new card for me thanks for bringing it to my attention. I the past I've tended to use various Wish cards to get what I really needed in a deck. I think I have enough green mana sources to support maybe 2 of these cards in the deck. Thanks for the ideas and suggestions.
Hi surewhynot, Great deck as in norm for you. Sigarda, Host of Herons + Inkwell Leviathan is brilliant. The discussions by you and others is even more brillant. Have to echo DedWards comment about Show and Tell. Your sideboard should have some defense against all the sideboard hate; Grafdigger's Cage, Leyline of the Void, Progenitus Relic etc.... Though I guess you could hope for the best with all the counter spells in the main board. I like Sheoldred, Whispering One, it great in group games and it's good battling other reanimator decks. Always wondered when you'd make a reanimator deck since you've always seemed to love black and made such wonders as Black Sacrifice, Pure Evil, Look Ma! No hand!, May God have mercy..., Kneel before your Lord and so on. And now you have and it looks great.
Hi Sevarisa, Thanks for the kind words. Alot of the deck is borrowed from Serra's fast and dirty deck he gave me as part of his reply confirming the combo is legal. Here is a copy of Sera's reply to my forum post about legality of combo: "It's not a loop per se, but it is a cycle you can repeat as much as you want. which is great for storm =) inspired me to make a modern storm deck based on this: 4 heartless summoning 4 myr retriever 4 infernal tutor 4 grapeshot 4 Manamorphose 4 Pyrite Spellbomb 3 empty the warrens 3 seal of fire 3 Gitaxian Probe 3 spellskite 24 lands not sure about the mana base yet" Seras Senior Member
Hi Bl@ckfir£_Phoen¿x, Took a look at your deck left a few comments, suggestions, and even a sample deck to look at.
Hi B/G Rock Reanimator, You asked me to take a look at your deck. Well first off, I doubt this will be your last deck. I stopped for a while too, having your first child can do that. But all to soon that baby is a bright young child and suddenly Magic is great game to teach reading, simple math and probability (at least that's what I told my wife) and later Game Theory, Statistics, and Machiavellianism ;-) As you probably already know using cards from Graveborn pack could really help your deck. Rather that telling how to make your deck look more like a tourney Reanimator let me say if this deck is for casual play, which I assume it is, since it doesn't have a sideboard the following are some mean evil tricks you can add if your gaming group does't mind adding a few banned or restricted cards to your deck along with some general advise. Currently your deck is trying to do too much. Either make it reanimator deck or a grave pact deck or a fauna shaman deck but all of them. If gravepact add some search spells to find grave pact vampiric tutor (expensive) or diabolic intent (cheaper) and add 4 nether traitor to deck to work with bloodghast and add maybe 4 Blood Artist and 4 Phyrexian Altar. Phyrexian Altar + Nether Traitor + Blood Artist = Infinite life for you infinite life loss for opponents. And if play group allow 4 Vampiric Tutors go for the gusto an add 4 regrowths. Culling the weak to 4 and add maybe even 4 Dark Rituals. If your going for reanimator well Bazaar of Bhagdad (crazy expensive) , frantic search, and Windfall are your possible banned evil stuff, but you will need to convert mana base to black and blue. Also increase exhume to 4, add 4 entombs, and but in some really evil creatures like Jin Gitaxias, Iona, Sheoldred, Whispering One, Blazing Archon or Griselbrand. Death's shadow is not really a good card in this deck unless you put in cards that help you reduce your life like Wall of Souls or a bunch of phyrexian mana cards like Noxious Revival, Surgical Extraction, and Mental Misstep. Personally, I'd drop this card with out hesitation. If your going for fauna shaman the obvious restricted card to add is Survival of the Fittest and make the deck like an old school Survival deck. I found the following Fauna Shaman deck that greatly resembles some of your deck it should give you clear ideas to go toward. Jund version of Fauna Shaman deck taken from http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?22599-Strategy-Fauna-Shaman-amp-Vengevine 4x Fauna Shaman 4x Vengevine 4x Bloodghast 4x Boggart Ram-Gang 4x Vampire Nighthawk 4x Bloodbraid Elf 1x Troll Ascetic 1x Thrun, the Last Troll 1x Kitchen Finks 1x Eternal Witness 4x Lightning Bolt 4x Maelstrom Pulse 2x Broodmate Dragon May you always make your own good luck Planestalker
Ethan Lewis, Never thought I'd read you acting as a troll. But I guess it's not too suprising you are so competitive ;-)) Note, I did label this deck as casual, normally if I think a deck is tourney worthy I always add a sideboard and label the deck Tournament. I guess I can understand you being a little put off because I claim the deck is broken. Well, the combo is broken. It allows for a turn 1 win, but without protection. If it could be cast with protection it would might even need to be banned. Though I doubt it, I don't think Wizards has ever banned a 4 card combo. Now if you and other other Magic masters here at the vault have an idea of how to make it so the combo less inconsistent. I'm eagerly awaiting your suggestions.
Hi Jeri, As you and dagbaker so rightly point out can't use Heartless summoning to get out Dross Harvester first turn using just 1 Dark Ritual and Heartless Summoning. The easy solution is simple but not pretty add 1 Dark Ritual. A more elaborate fix would be to but in zero casting creatures and add Culling the Weak and take out Manamorphose and the Spirit guides. This would start turning the deck into a all black deck so you might as well change out the Grapeshot and put in Bitter Ordeal. If I do that the hold mana mana base might as well be tweaked too. And your really end up with a new and different deck. So rather than do that I think I'll just leave the deck alone and mention that the infinite life thing is really hard to get out first turn and is more likely second or third turn. Feel free to convert the deck into a all black deck and post it. Just give credit for where the idea came from.
Hi dagbaker, Thanks for the idea. I forgot that Vault of Whispers is legal now in Legacy, but banned in modern. Will add changes.
Hi Chewrida, Color is a copiable characteristic. As such, the Phantasmal Image-Strangleroot Geist is a green creature. For color to not be copied, it has to explicitly say so in the effect (see Vesuvan Doppelganger ).
Chewrida, Took a look at your Flying/Spirits deck. Left a few comments and a couple comparison decks to check out.
