Hey Phan7asm,

Left a couple comments on your red vampire deck.
Yeah Arcane laboratory with Ertai, Wizard Adept or Isochron Scepter imprinted with Counterspell is a great old combo. My using Isochron Scepter Imprinted with Memory Lapse is just new twist on this old combo.

Glad the deck works well for you.
For draw power might try dropping 2 trickbind for 2 Intuitions.

if still not enough draw power add 2 Impulse or 2 Brainstorm according to taste.

I've left comments on the decks you posted.

Hi Alchamine,

Personally, I like to mill oppponent's in one fell swoop.
Millstone + Painter's Servant seems the best combo available right now.

With Black Lotus you can Show and Tell the above combo out as early as 1st turn possibly backed by Force of Will or Daze. More than likely game over on your second turn.

Hi Alchamire,

Land destruction is a sort of odd beast. It can do well against lots of types of decks but it loses power the more your opponent has access to alternative mana production like moxes, mana creatures, and cast for free spells. My experience has taught me that the really evil mana denial decks aren't really about destroying land, but tend to be more about limiting the number of actions the opponent may do, decks that use cards like Stasis and Winter orb to lock the opponent down.

What I'm saying in a round about way is adding cards like Trinisphere and Winter Orb to your deck along with some means to tap and untap them on your turn like Relic barrier and Voltaic key can often make a land destruct deck stronger.

Another alternative is to add some hand destruct to also severely limit the opponent's options.
Adding Hypnotic Spector and Hymn to Tourach sometimes strengthen a land destruct deck.

Finally, I've always like Avalanche Riders to land destruct decks but it may not be to your taste.

Hi Alchamire,

I've always enjoyed building and playing reanimator decks. While I sort specialize in building mostly Legacy decks occasionally I'll build a proxy type I deck. (I mean who in their right mind would wander around carrying a deck worth thousands of dollars?). So looking at your deck as type 1 "legal" proxy deck here is what your deck might look like after I proxied it.

Artifacts
1x Black Lotus
1x Mox Jet
1x Lotus Petal
1x Sol Ring

Creatures
2x Balthor the Defiled
4x Laquatus's Champion

Enchantments
1x Necropotence
1x Yawgmoth's Bargain

Land
4x Bazaar of Baghdad
4x Cabal Coffers
2x Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
8x Swamp

Spells
2x Living End
1x Vampiric Tutor
4x Entomb
1x Yawgmoth's Will
4x Extirpate
4x Thoughtseize
2x Reanimate
2x Living Death
4x Dark Ritual
1x Demonic Tutor
4x Buried Alive
1x Damnation

The main things I am trying to do are:
1. Improve your mana base. (added Black Lotus, Sol Ring, Lotus Petal)
2. Provide a means to disrupt early counterspells (Added thoughtseize, extirpate)
3. Increase your chances for card draw, tutoring, and putting cards in graveyard. (added Vampiric Tutor, Yawgmoth's Bargain, Bazaar of Bhagdad, and increasing number of Entombs.

Most of these improvement were done at the cost of removing alot of your fairly high cost creature removal spells. The idea being that this deck will hopefully now be able to get out your game winning combo earlier backed by hand and library disruption. If you get into trouble early tutoring for your reset buttons (Damnation, Living Death, Living End) may save the day. Don't really know if it will work as planned but try poxying it and see if its an improvement.

hey harriz,

Yeah this deck should be fine. But your deck isn't very orginal.

Your deck looks very similiar to Tournament RG Manabarbs (75 cards) by Guilherme84

How about making an original deck design?

black - reanimate
white - balance
green - aluren
blue - treasure hunt
red - mana clash
colorless - Emrakul the Aeons Torn
multi-color - Progenitus

I've made decent decks that were
only land
only creatures
only artifacts

Can a decent legal 60 card deck be built that is only instants and sorceries (no land or creatures)?

Your hand opening hand is 1 dark ritual, 1 entomb, 1 thoughtseize, 1 reanimate and 3 swamp?
What creature would you entomb after successfully thoughtseizeng your opponent?

Hi thGR8D35tr0Y3r,

Thanks for the comment, unless of course you're being sarcastic.
I took at look at your decks and I notice that you like to build low cost decks that are try to be synergistic. This deck is deliberately that type of deck.

If you really like inexpensive decks check out my Priceless Red Vampire deck at Deck link: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=252533 maybe you can figure out how to make it even better.

Might also check out Red budget - No Rares by Kjellum

You have any decks you want me to look at post them here.

The fabricates have to stay. Reduce the stoic rebuttals to 2 and mind control to 2 or and replace with 2 mana leak. That should do it. Next you need to build a sideboard this might be ok.

4 Negates
2 Mana Leaks
4 Ponder
3 Flash Freeze

Hi jarrettbeast97,

The mutagenic growths are an interesting idea what card(s) do you suggest t it replace?

Zero casting creatures like memnite and ornithropter and kobolds are too slow in this deck. I really think this deck has to have hasted creatures for the suprise attack to work.

Maybe your idea of adding zero casting cost artifact creatures would have merit if I added scrapnel blast and great furnace to the deck and drop fireblast. But that's a really different deck than this one. Maybe I'll post it later sometime.

Hi Gfreeman you asked me to look at this deck.

You realize that with no way to handle enchantments and artifacts this deck this deck may have trouble against alot of deck. Possibly adding at least 3 Oblivion Rings is a good step in the right direction.

Personally I'd run more creature removal spells adding 4 path to exile might be a good idea.

Running all those swords with out 4 Stoneforge Mystic just seems to wrong.

Have a look at two of my infinite life gain decks to get some ideas.

Hi foREVer.RIP,

Like the deck reminders me of my Budget Infinite Myr Deck one of the first decks I ever submitted to MTG you can check it out at http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=119239.

Only thing you might change is substitute Phyrexian Metamorph for Clone and I'd probably play at
least 1 mana leak instead of Fabricate.

You also should try to fit 1 or 2 Myr Reservior into your deck.

Possible reasons for no dark rituals

1. Removing dark rituals opens slots for more utility toolbox creatures.
2. Many Legacy decks run counterspells and typically players hate to trade 2 cards(dark ritual and the spell it is helping to cast) to 1 counterspell.
3. Reanimator spells use only 1 or 2 mana typically so a dark ritual is not that critical to helping cast spells.
4. I like to run dark rituals in some of my reanimator decks but that's because I run all black decks that
run heavy discard with surgical extraction which can be a really problem for many decks. This isn't a all black deck. It uses blue for draw and discard and counter effects.

Nice deck Ethan,

I've found a Shallow Grave and Pathrazer of Ulamog (either in combo or seperately) can often deal a pretty powerful blow to the opponent you might consider them for sideboard and maybe even mainboard.
One or two Sphinx of the Steel Wind should at least be in sideboard. Personally, I like to run at least 1 mainboard.
Sheoldred, Whispering One and Evil Twin are my not so secret tech sideboard cards try them out and see if you like them.
Oh, I was wondering is the main reason Inkwell Leviathan isn't in mainboard is because animate dead
can't be used on it?

Good Luck at Nationals and may you always make your own good luck.
