Hi Kjellum,

You aske me to look at this deck. Deck seems pretty solid. Here's my thoughts.

Instead of dispatch try shrapnel blast.
Instead of metallic mastery try Traitorous Blood or Mark of Mutiny

Hi soccerfan,

Fun concept. Fun deck.

Gives me an idea Invisible Stalker and counter spells and touch of black for Hatred and maybe some black utility cards.

Invisible Stalker and Hatred just seem to be made for each other as you can cast Hatred onto Invisible Stalker. Possible turn one win with Show and Tell

Play Show and Tell bring into play
Invisible Stalker + Hatred + Lightning Greaves = 20 points damage turn one

Hi oxou3,

Deck is all common and uncommon Inistrad cards.

Sure I could of put in cards like Lightning Bolt or Incinerate but they are not Inistrad cards.
I'm just trying to make a point as to how easy it is to make a good Vampire deck with all Inistrad cards.

I'm asking if anyone else has noticed if they could make a good deck with Inistrad commons and uncommons.

Feel free to replace Geistfame with Lightning Bolt and Traitorous Blood with Incinerate or Arc Trail
for slight improvement in deck.

Hi 7HEE133TE,

Thanks for the input. Hadn't thought about arcbound ravager. I'll replace a couple of Myr Superion with the it just so the deck can make an Infinite creature for fun. The Myr Superion really is a superior card to
the arcbound because it is no dependent on having 2 Myr Retrievers to get big it all ready is big.

Hmmm there are a couple more evil combos with Heartess Summoning in play based on storm effects.

Horned Kavu + Grapeshot = infinite damage
Horned Kavu + Brainfreeze = infinite milling of library
Horned Kavu + Empty the Warrens = infinite goblins
Horned Kavu + Haze of Rage = infinite power to your creature
Horned Kavu + Hunting Pack = infinite 4/4 Beast tokens
Horned Kavu + Ignite Memories = infinite damage
Horned Kavu + Mind's Desire = play all the remaining cards in library for free
Horned Kavu + Scatter Shot = infinite damage to target creature
Horned Kavu + Sprouting Vines = put all the lands in your library into your hand
Horned Kavu + Temporal Fissure = Return infinite number of target permanent to hand
Horned Kavu + Tendrils of Agony = you gain infinite life target opponent(s) lose infinite life

the Horn Kavu could be replace with Cavern Harpy if either Bad Moon or Adaptive Automaton is in play.

Here's a deck Blue Black Heartless deck I've built. Suggestions welcomed.

Here's a real nice combo with Heartless Summoning in play.

Wirewood Savage
Creature - Elf 2/2, 2G (3)
Whenever a Beast enters the battlefield, you may draw a card.

If Horned Kavu counts as a beast then

Horned Kavu (cast Horned Kavu for free and bouncing it back into your hand endlessly) + Wirewood Savage = endlessly card draw

Nice deck surewhynot,

Love of idea of a free Myr Superion, let me see if there are any other broken possibilitie with Heartless Summonming in Extended and Legacy. Hmmmm...

Horned Kavu
Creature - Kavu 3/4, RG (2)
When Horned Kavu enters the battlefield, return a red or green creature you control to its owner's hand.

Horned Kava (repeatly cast itself for free and bounce itself back to hand) + Soul Warden or Essense Warden = infinite life

Keldon Marauders
Creature - Human Warrior 3/3, 1R (2)
Vanishing 2 (This permanent enters the battlefield with two time counters on it. At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a time counter from it. When the last is removed, sacrifice it.)
When Keldon Marauders enters the battlefield or leaves the battlefield, it deals 1 damage to target player.

Wall of Blossoms + Horned Kavau = 2 Free cards for zero mana
1. Cast Wall of Blossom for free - draw 1st free card
2. Cast Horned Kavu for free bounce Wall of Blossom back to hand
3. Cast Wall of Blossom for free again - draw 2nd free card

Horned Kavu + Keldon Marauders = 3 damage for zero mana
1. Cast Keldon Maraders for free - do 1 damage as it comes into play
2. Cast Horned Kavu for free bounce Keldon Marauders back to hand do 1 damage as it leaves play
3. Cast Keldon Maruaders again for free do 1 damage

Yup, Heartless Summoning is broken.

Be posting a Red Green Black White Deck soon.

Hi ShinyPidgey,

You asked me to look at your deck. Well this a pretty solid dredge deck. I haven't made many dredge decks but just posted one recently that is really inexpense to make.

See Really Cheap Dredge Deck link: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=237010.

Some Suggestions
Add 2 Cabal Therapy cut 2 Gitaxian Probe. More utility to dump cards in hand (both yours or opponent) is more useful card draw and know what is in opponent's hand

4 Ichorid instead of Elvish Spirit Guides - Add more threats to deck more utility than suprise mana source especially because you aren't running any Autumn's Veil or Avoid Fate. Don't think possible early mana is that important to your deck.

Gemstone Mine instead of Lotus Petal - slightly longer lasting any color mana source I think slightly better than possible early extra mana.

Hi kaim_arouet,

I'm not familiar with "regular Alluren" normally I just work with "Aluren" .

Ok, enough with the bad spelling jokes.

If you know of a good infinite direct damage card to replace Quiron Dryad feel free to tell me.

I've done a search and I didn't find any "Whenever another creature (under your control) enters the battlefield, target player loses 1 life."

There are a couple "Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under opponent's control, opponent loses 1 life." but they of course that won't work with Shrieking Drake + Aluren.

But there sure are plenty of "whenever another creature enters the battlefield, you gain 1 life."

So please feel free to post a link to a "regular Aluren" deck that does infinite damage I don't know of any
such combo.

I did figure out an interesting 4 card combo while hunting for your infinite damage.

Could you of meant Aluren + Shrieking Drake + Genesis Chamber + Goblin Bombardment?

Could this of been what you were alluding too?

Ooooohhh!!!

That's nice. Cavern Harpy could be used in lots of ways in an Aluren deck

Cavern Harpy + Thalakos Seer = card draw
Cavern Harpy + Maggot Carrier = deal damage

I might make a Version 2 of the this deck.

Hi runner220,

You asked for a little advice.

First the Elixer of immortality should be cut. With no way to find them (trinket mage or artificer's intuition)
they are likely to be too little help.

Maybe replace them with either contagion clasp or tumble magnet.

The Viral Drake seems like a pretty weak card in the deck. Too much mana cost. Replace with Steady Progress.

Play around with cutting deck to 60 cards. Maybe remove Visions from Beyond and Island.

Hi

You asked me to look at this deck and even though EDH really isn't my thing but I'll try to help.

As I understand it you want to force sacrifices to flip Kuon and then stall until you get a beatstick you can win with.

Well. Since Kuon is your general you've pretty much limited to playing black spells.

The question is which is easier to do give your opponent creatures to sacrifice or give yourself creatures to sacrifice? To my mind give yourself creatures is easier.

Here are some to help fill your graveyard fast that you may of overlooked

Accursed Centaur
Cabal Trainee
Kjeldoran Dead
Thoughtpicker Witch
Viscera Seer

Next up some Black Stall cards you should consider
Braids, Cabal Minion - this card is amazing
Wall of Souls
Damnation
Gate to Phyrexia (this really isn't stall it's just one of the very few cards black has to remove artifacts)
Pestilence
Will-o'-the-Wisp

Beat sticks you seems to have overlooked
Avatar of Woe
Kokusho, the Evening Star

Well there you go hope it helps.

Your next question is how to find your beat stick you already have Vampiric Tutor, Demonic Tutor
I'd add Diabolic Intent.

Hi heliosofcows,

Yes, you are correct. If they gain 10 life they will loss 20 life from False Cure thus have net loss of 10 life.

Likewise, Needlebite Trap + Grove of the Burnwillows normally does 4 damage for opponent for cost of one Black mana and you also gain 5 life.

But it is possble to win first turn, just need a good opening hand

For example,

Card 1 - lay Bayou
Card 2 cast Sky Cutter for free (Bayou counts as a forest) - opponent gains 5 life
Card 3 cast Invigorate for free on Sky cutter - opponent gains 3 life
Cards 4 & 5 - cast 2 Reverent Silence - opponenent gains 12 life
Cards 6 & 7 - cast Dark Ritual Cast False Cure for 40 damage - 20 life gain = net life of 20 which should be game.

If you have any deck you'd like me to look at post a link.

Hi runner220,

Good question. The Inkwell at 9 casting casting cost and the Empyrial Archangel at 8 casting cost means a whole lot of life loss if Reanimated. With no life gaining ability in this deck it is unlikely player will use Reanimate card more than once unless player gets lucky and Thoughtseizes a useful creature into opponent's graveyard and then reanimates it sometime in the game. But most of the time the Thoughtseize is used to remove counter spells, graveyard extraction, and sacrifice removal spells like Innocent Blood not for creature removal.

But you might have a point though because with 4 Reanimate in deck that will improve the chances of doing the Foil + Reanimate combo early in the game.

But the real main reason that I have 2 Reanimate is because originally I had 4 reanimate and 12 Islands and I really wanted to add 4 Mox Diamonds to add mana acceleration to the deck to improve the odds of being able to Foil on opponent's turn and then + exhume first turn.

So if you'd rather have 4 Reanimate feel free to cut back on the Mox Diamonds. But if I had a choice I'd rather Exhume than Reanimate on turn one.

Hi Deidrick,

Well you are the third or fourth person to suggest Mindcrack. In the orginal version of the deck I had
Mindcranks instead of Megrim. I guess will I should switch it out even if it is pretty a "bit cheap"
as Reader noted.

Yes Jace's Archist is a good card in this deck. But I am deliberately avoiding putting in creatures so as to create a virtual card advantage. Each kill creature card in opponent's deck wil be become a useless card against my deck.

May be I'll put Jace's Archivist and Hypnotic Spector in sideboard. In the hopes that opponent will take out kill cards in second game.

This is a very clever funny deck. I love how you make all your opponent's creatures frogs and then take control of them in a variety of ways.

It makes me want to make a similar deck for sheep.

Are there any other spells that make opponent's creatures in other creatures other than sheep and frogs?

For example rats, slivers, bears, chickens, cats, myr?

Hey reya,

Thanks for the heads up about this new card Laboratory Maniac it looks like a wonderful new card to abuse.

It's too bad that Demonic Consulation and many other tutors are banned in Legacy. But this is nice vintage deck even with out the Power cards.

Laboratory Maniac might even work into a painter's servant + grindstone deck with player milling themselves for the win with Laboratory Maniac out.

Hi Shinji213,

Underworld dreams is a good card, but as you note BBB is sort of hard to come by in this deck accept by way of dark ritual.

If you go an all black discard deck Underworld dreams and Chains of Mephistopheles might be a an interesting addition to this type of deck.
