Minor Points

Reduce deck down to 60 cards unless playing in a group game format.

Try to fit 1 or 2 Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon into the deck maybe take out Flesh Eater Imp.

Minor Points

Deprive has minor combo affect with Halimar Depths might consider using them rather than stoic rebuttal.

Better to have 1 more Jace and 1 less land.

No I hadn't thought to use Mind Twist mainly because
Abandon Hope combos with Brink of Madness = if I have no hand then opponent also has no hand.

I really like the potential of Eureka and Show and Tell. And this deck uses it well.

But think you are missing out some of the brokeness of Eureka and Show and Tell in that you have
not included any artifacts or enchantments to get out for free.

Lightning Greaves, Blightsteel Colosuss and Decree of Silence are some cards that come to mind.
Check out my Eureka Show and Tell deck at

With a deck like this how could you over look Death's Shadow????????????????????????????????

The ability to cast Death's Shadow first turn just should not be overlooked. A 13/13 for just one mana is so broken. How could you forget this amazing card????????????????????????????????????????

So please consider adding at least 5 Death's Shadow so you can be sure to draw one.

But wait, I have an even more amazing idea if you willing to make this deck just a little more black this deck could include the invincible combo of

Dark Ritual + Entomb (Find Storm Crow) + Reanimate or Exhume Storm Crow

Imagine putting into play Storm Crow First Turn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(For just the lowly cost of 1 black mana and 3 cards)

Why this combo it almost rivals the super secret colossal combo that only the really great magic players really understand.

What you don't know the super secret colossal combo that only the really great MTG players really understand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????

Well, you're in luck I'm one of the few really great MTG players that is willing to share the secret.

Here it is the super colossal amazing combo that only really great MTG players understand.:

Dark Ritual + Entomb (find Phage the Untouchable) + then Exhume or Reanimate

Isn't it super colossal amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's literally game over.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nothing can beat it for super colossal amazingness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope this helps,

May always make your own good luck.

Minor Points

Orim's Chant is superior to Silence.
Brainstorm is superrior to Preordain, but 4 Standstills might even be better.

To make deck Legacy Tournament quality need to invest in 4 Tundras and 4 Floooded Stands.

To really kick this deck up a nock should consider adding Arcane Laboratory and Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir . These two provide a hard lock with scepter combo only breakable with uncounterable spells.

Hi greg5605,

Thanks for the input. This deck is really just for casual group games. The painful quandry is an interesting idea. I mostly run 4 wastelands because in group games I often see alot of Maze of iths Mystifying Mazes, Tolarian Islands, and other broken lands.

Haunting Echoes can often be a game finisher in good discard deck. Trying running 1 or 2.

Hey surewhynot,

Nice deck. Reminds me a little of my Infinite Life Gain & Loss Legacy Deck that uses Devoted Druid and Quilspike with Rite of Consumption for Infinite Life Gain for me and Infinite life loss for opponent.

So may be add Rite of Consumption to your deck so you too can have Infinite Life Gain & Loss.

Also my deck only needs 3 mana to make infinite life.

Nomads en-Kor (W) or Shuko (1) + Daru Spiritualist (1W) + Starlit Sanctum (W for Tap abilty) or Swords to Plowshare (W)

What would you do with infinite life?

In response to your question "Are there any other instant-win for Black-Blue color?"

Some would argue that the following cards are instant wins with the right deck all by themselves.
Necropotence
Yawgmoth's Will
Yawgmoth's Bagain
Ad Nauseam
Tolarian Academy

But these are the exact blue and black cards that give you an instant win on upkeep
Battle of Wits
Mortal Combat
Now I Know My ABC's - This is not legal in any format - it's Cracked

This is the type of deck I enjoy making.

The black lotus is good but where are the other moxes? I mean if you are going to run 3 black lotus why not 4 Jet Moxes and 4 Sapphire Moxes too?

I've made many combo decks a number of them look alot like this deck.
Most are legal a few are evil and are illegal in any format.

One that is alot like yours is my Multiple Brokeness deck
This deck was inspired by the question "How many broken combos can be fit in a 60 card deck?"
you can check it out at Deck link: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=123479

Hi MarkoTDK,

This deck has over 20 cards that are non-standard format. Its just too much work for me to tell you what to drop and what to add to make it standard legal.

If you drop the mind twists (vintage only legal) you might make this into a OK legacy deck.

Here is an example of a pretty good legacy discard deck.

Rogue Deadguy Ale: A Homebrew by Chris Pikula
Format: Legacy - RAV
Location: 2005 Grand Prix Philadelphia, PA
Finished: 2nd Place

Creatures
4 Dark Confidant
4 Hypnotic Specter
3 Nantuko Shade

Artifacts
2 Cursed Scroll

Spells
4 Dark Ritual
4 Duress
2 Engineered Plague
2 Gerrard's Verdict
4 Hymn to Tourach
4 Sinkhole
4 Vindicate

Land
4 Bloodstained Mire
4 Scrubland
10 Swamp
1 Tainted Field
4 Wasteland
