Hi zostimos,

Interesting deck. Just the other evening I was thinking about how to abuse Enchanted Evening and of course Scour came to mind.

But I was thinking even more in line with Enduring Renewal and (Elvish Lyrist, Elvish Hexhunter, Druid Lyrist) and Phyrexian Altar.

Oh yeah Sterling Grove and Aura Theif also are a really really nice cards to combo with Enchanted Evening.

Aura Theif + Enchanted Evening is one of the great combos of all time. Nothing beats it taking all your opponent's permanents in one fell swoop accept may be a Menarch with lots of blue mana which just so happens to be my latest deck which I call
Control Everything!!!! Deck

Yeah the more I test the desk the less I like serum powder.

I'm replacing Serum Powder with a Treasure Hunt. and replacing one of the Treasure Hunts with Mana Bond

After testing deck alot alot Berkner was right 2 Treasure Hunt and Two Mana Bonds seems to give the best overall chance of hitting the combo.

While 3 or 4 Treausure Hunts does increase chance of getting Treasure Hunt through Mulliganing they also significantly reduce chance of finding Mana Bond after casting Treasure Hunt and also do not allow enogh lands to be laid by Mana Bond to kill opponent on 2nd turn.

With 2 Treasure Hunts and Two Mana Bonds after much testing I find

Pulling a Treasure Hunt with 7 new cards (as allowed by my gaming group) after each all land hand mulligans is at about 40%

Pulling a Mana bond after casting of Treasure Hunt is exactly as would be expected at 50%.
So 40% times 50% only gives only 20% chance of deck working properly for a win. And the chance actually is lower than that because occasionally the mana bond comes too early before you can get enough lands into your hand to do enough damage 2nd or 3rd turn to win.

The real trick is to talk your game group into letting you mulligan until you have a Treasure Hunt in hand and not allowing use of counter spells on first turn. Like that would could really happen ;-))

Hi dagbaker

I'm not sure what your reasoning is for simic growth chamber and against threshold land.

While simic growth does speed up mana a little bit It does nothing to help attack opponent it even returns a land in play back to hand as it enters the battefield causing me to lose a potential attacker
and this deck needs all the attack lands it can get. into play.

In group games in which this deck has been mostly played getting out mana fast has not been a big concern. The really big concern with this deck is counterspells. If fact, I've toyed around with putting in

Boseiju, Who Shelters All
Legendary Land
Boseiju, Who Shelters All enters the battlefield tapped.
{T}, Pay 2 life: Add {1} to your mana pool. If that mana is spent on an instant or sorcery spell, that spell can't be countered by spells or abilities.

If it wasn't for the comes into play tapped trait and it being a legendary card (and mana bond requires all lands in hand to be played, thus increasing chance of 2 Boseiju canceling each other out of existance) this would be a great card for the deck.

Also dreed1000

This deck is all about Standstill. Aether Vial allows me to cast low mana cost creatures while Standstill is in play while my opponent debates if he or she is going to risk breaking the Standstill and give me 3 cards. Seige-Gang Commander is pretty useless in hand with Standstill in play. This is not an all red Goblin deck it has enough blue that higher mana cost goblins are sort of out of the picture.

If you'd like to see an all red Goblin Deck that does include Seige-Gang Commander take a look at my other Goblin Deck - Legacy Test Deck

hi dreed1000,

I agree Seige-Gang Commander is a good card, but I Siege-Gang Commanders were replaced with Kira, Great Glass-Spinner. The idea being my goblins will be alot harder to kill or bounce if Kira gets into play and the aether vial will get out more goblins quickly than the Siege-Gang Commanders which almost never gets successfully cast in Legacy due to powerful counterspell decks like countertop and a variety of other control decks.

Come to think about it an even easier way of taking control of all opponents creatures is
Reins of Power combine that with Goblin Bombardment and you lots of fun.

Hey buddysystem,

Well I see you took my suggestion to do a Noggle deck. And your baazar trader combos are exactly what I was hoping for as far as matching theme "Noggles live purely by what they can scavenge"

Here's another cute combo you might also consider

dominate/radiate combo takes control of ALL the opponent's creatures except for those that cant be affected by spells or abilities...if you pay enough mana for X in Dominate and to cast Radiate and of course if it's not countered.

Dominate X1UU Instant
Gain control of target creature with converted mana cost X or less. (This spell?s effect doesn?t end at end of turn.)

Radiate 3RR Instant
Choose target instant or sorcery spell that targets only a single permanent or player. For each other permanent or player that spell could target, put a copy of the spell onto the stack. Each copy targets a different one of those permanets and players.

I have a deck very similar to this.
Some things you might consider adding:
Shrapnel Blast + Great Furnace
Mogg Maniac + Simulacrum
Wall of Souls

Nettling Imp + Wall of Souls + Glyph of Destruction + Fling is one crazy fun combo

Yeah!!!!!! for Edna,

Here is official Orcle text for grapeshot taken from http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Search/Default.aspx?type=+[Grapeshot]||subtype=+[Grapeshot]||text=+[Grapeshot]

Grapeshot (2)
Sorcery

Grapeshot deals 1 damage to target creature or player.
Storm (When you CAST this spell, copy it for each spell CAST before it this turn. You may choose new targets for the copies.)

Thanks for your input. Glad to learn that Multani's Presence + Chalice combo is quite alive!

Sorry crankimpulse it looks like you're wrong even though the actual card says Played the official text
says Cast.

Hey Batman the infinite untap is not real clear. How about explaining it in the deck description. Or as a reply to this comment.

I know it involves Summoning Station and Intruder Alarm but an explaination would be nice.

I've got a wizard deck too, but it relies more heavily on counterspell disruption. It uses alot of similiar wizards that you use except it has Kira, Great Glass-Spinner which acts as a great protective shield for your creatures. It can be found as Fun with Wizards at Deck link: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=170040

Personally I like Death Pits + Pestilence + indestructible creature combo

Dark Rituals or Culling the Weak really can help to get out Death Pits fast.

Just For Fun Example

1st Turn - lay swamp + dark ritual + ornithopter + culling the weak creates enough mana to
cast Death Pits 1st Turn

check out my Dark Steel/Death Pits of Rath Deck if you'd like to see different take on Death Pits

I like the general idea of the deck. But even my rather loose game group limits non-land cards to just 4 of except for relentless rats. If you want to make the deck more socially acceptable at least to this site may be put in 4 of all the different moxes till you have 22 moxes then add 4 trinker and 4 reshape.

Hi Gifts and berkner,

Thanks for input. Have made adjustments to deck and Title of Deck accordingly. Having never made a deck quite like this before I thought keeping it as simple as possible would insure the combo would work as long as its not countered or have bad luck and the mana bond is close to the top of the library.

Hi Kharay1977,

Hmmm, what can I say. Either you don't get the concept of the deck or maybe what you really meant to say "Like, keep drawing land until you finally draw that one Treasure Hunt?"

Concept of deck.
Once Treasure Hunt is cast the deck automatically will keep drawing until the one and only Mana Bond is found that is what Treasure Hunt does "Reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a nonland card" the only other non-land card is Mana Bond! No Luck needed!!!

But maybe what you really meant to say keep is drawing land until you finally draw that one Treasure Hunt. But as I say in step 1 it is assumed you will have mulligan's until they get a Treasure Hunt and as Castroa so rightly says in respond to this step AHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHH as the chance of this happening with a regular tournament mulligan are around 7/60 or a little over 10% of the time. This is not good odds. But if your casual group allows for all land mulligans like mine does the odds jump to 50% so.... I can rightly say you can begin with a Treasure Hunt in hand.

Wow I copied and paste tthe text for the card from a Magic Card Database see
http://magiccards.info/query?q=grapeshot&v=card&s=cname and it clearly says cast
but I didn't look at the visual image of the card which clearly says played. Thanks for input.

The chalice of the void is still useful if cast just before casting grapeshot as means to prevent opponent from countering grapeshot.

The Multani's presence is also still useful as means to help prevent opponent from interferring
with casting of creatures.

But sadly the multani's presence + chalice of the void combo is dead.
