I like this. Its very similar to the modern deck I've been polishing for the last few weeks. You may be able to drop a land to bring it back down to 60 cards with no problems. With a curve this aggressive drawing land later in the game doesn't really help much at all. I also recommend 4 flagstones of trokair if you want to keep thing the deck for lands to help your draws a bit. I've also had luck in the three drop slot with militia bugler who helps keep the threats hitting the board as the game goes on which can be super great in a Meta with so much removal.

any time. hope this helps. the deck is meant to mostly curve into a hard cast turn three demanding dragon but it can be made to be much more effective with other cost reducers.
I like the priest option. All of these are good ideas. this is mostly a tribal dragon deck that i created for someone who wanted a tribal dragon deck. i may come back later and make some adjustments.
hi, sorry this took so long. https://www.mtgvault.com/clawzizking/decks/heartless-dragons/here's an updated take on my list with a list of upgrades in the sideboard.
i can definitely put something together for you to go off of. got any idea what kind of budget you were looking at. my original deck is a bit buried and i cant find it . sorry on the slow response, i haven't been on in a little while.
you could do what i do in dragon decks and cheat by splashing black for heartless summoning and some fatal pushes to keep people held off until your dragons can take the field on turn three.
the undergrowth cards are all great and powerful but they seem to be way out of range for the mana curve of this deck. hard to compete with a 10/10 for one mana.
thanks. i know its till too slow but i am looking into ways to speed it up this coming week while i have a few friends to help me test new cards.
being a human also benefits him from Thalia's lieutenant and being a white creature i control he also benefits from the honor of the pure. in all he has a total of 11 effects in the deck that can give him +1/+1. as for the other options i had thought about doomed traveler and hada freeblade but loyal sentry only seems to be useful on the defensive which this deck seldom does. The skymarcher unfortunately isn't a human which makes in unable to assist the two most powerful creatures in the deck (champion and lieutenant) which just feels like too great of a cost.
all very good suggestions.call to serve has been a great card for many decks i have made and i had never thought of using it in here. i will investigate options for putting it into the mix.brave the elements was in the original deck and is certainly a card i miss greatly but have yet to fin a suitable card in the sideboard to remove.as for student vs bushi. in addition to being a soldier i have found that bushis transform ability is often a great way to push some cheap early game damage in as opponents are often wary to block him even if they know they will kill him. student is indeed a very powerful card but its level up cost seems to be more of a late game strategy as i tend to be very forward with my mana and spending it all on additional creatures every turn. regardless it warrants some testing as well.i thank you for your suggestions and will investigate them in the near future.
i have, i just don't know where i would put it in the deck. almost every card in the deck is either important to the combo or more powerful/cheaper mana cost. if i were going to be making a more aggressive version and not a combo version it would be a four of instantly.
searchable and a good mana dump. to the sideboard it goes.
Thanks, it suprisingly almost beat a competitive mono black zombies deck today which is a good sign that it's headed in the right direction.
The deck is meant to be more for group games where a variety of Mana costs are necessary. The skymarc and one of the dovescape are coming out for four more one drops (likely healers hawk)
It's a pretty good card but it seems like it might not be a good match for this deck.
ill be honest. most of the decks i see on the front page anymore are pretty terrible (especially the "competitive" ones). This deck, however, actually seems to be right up my alley. I like this one. it may not be the absolute fastest deck but it applies a lot of pressure and looks like it might even be down to race a burn deck ( which is something i definitely like to see in modern). good job.
all good points. probably a drop for some fetches and an additional decay.
I have considered both actually. Lingering souls is a great card.
Only synergy with her unfortunately is Serra ascendant because all the life is only one instance.
perhaps -2 mana leak -2 copter +3 kozilek+1 bolt
