Oh my that looks nasty. Which strata of guard did you face; mech or blob?

I don't play 1000 very much .... my group plays either 600 or 2000.

Generally, I find that running mech guard (hiding squishy troops in Chimeras) and shooting at the scarab swarms first works pretty well.

No ... it makes sense. Saytr Firedancer is unique, because he specifically targets red burn spells, but he is still a "filler". Same with Dictate of the Twin Gods.

However, fillers also cost less. A deck with 42 1-2 CMC burn spells is a little pricey.

Hmmm ... maybe so ...

With enough time ... decks can get pretty badass.

Hey, I run a 'pure' burn deck, but run some creatures. Guttersnipe and Satyr Firedancer don't feel like fillers ...
