what type are you going for because there are some awesome equipment outside of zendikar that may be better than some of the ones you have here.

deathrender is quite good for getting the collosus out from your hand, stick it on something cheap and sacrifice it or suicide charge it t get your big gun out as a 13/13 this time.

Yes they would, gonna take out Magus of the arena and stalking vengance and put in 3 of each. (Just need to remember not to put everlasting torment onto the field whilst taking advantage of old stuffy.

Dovescape looks at the cmc of a card when countering it, variable values such as X are always treated as 0 when calculating the cmc of a card. Your X spells won't help you with dovescape.

If you go the path of red might I suggest countryside crusher which would work most wonderfully with your zuran orb.

Zuran Orb is easier to play colour wise than Overgrown estate, it is also cheaper though the life gain is only 2/land, but when you multiply that by infinity you get about the same number as if it were 3.

hey, awesome, my first time was when I walked into my friends living room and he had the worlds largest dungeon map tiles spread accross the entirety of his living room floor, I asked what it was, he said a game, I asked if we could play, he said not that kind of game, I said lets play anyway, never looked back (took us two years of playeing every sunday for 5 - 9 hours to complete that dungeon)

Punishing Fire: Good call, I'll consider it
Incinerate: Less damage / mana than shock (shock has a 2:1 ration, this has a 3:2 which is less)
Searing Blaze: Another good call, Again, I'll consider it
Char: Hell no! a 4:3 is bad enough but that is does 2 damage to you also....no...just...no
Chain Reaction: Would most likely kill off my balefire lieges, so again No
Pyroclasm: Would kill my creatures, no
Flamebreak: Same reason as above
Flamewave: Really expensive, no chance of it being of any use if I have to use my Mirror
Chandra: Expensive, will be killed before she can explode
Chandra Ablaze: Even more expensive, never going to have cards in hand.
Ball Lightning: Decent 6:3 ration (equating to a 2:1, same as shock) but you have very little control over the outcome and it is entirely useless if your opponent has a first striker so no.
Goblin Sharpshooter: Good in theory, shame this deck wouldn't optimise it's usefulness, see my tim decks for how Goblin Sharpshooter should be used.
Goblin Firebelcher: This card does not seem to exist according to gatherer so not quite sure you were suggesting I do, perhaps make my own card with that name?
Howling Mine: Considered it for the extra card draw, still undecided.
Sunforger: Why? I don't intend to attack with my creatures and I have no white mana sources.
Loxidon Warhammer: I assume you meant Loxodon Warhammerso...
Loxodon Warhammer: Again, I don't intend to attack with my Balefire Lieges and my other creatures dissapear at end of turn meaning I would have to repeatedly re-equip the hammer, expensive and inefficient. No.

The only useful suggestions you have given me are:
Punishing Fire, Searing Blaze and Howling Mine and since I want to be able to cast spells should I ever lose the game and have to resort to a reboot from Lich's Mirror I'm not going to use any of them as they are more expensive than what I have.

oh, and while I remember have you considered walking archive as another forced draw effect, also useful as a blocker if you need one. It's ability is out of colour and it is a tad more expensive than howling mine but it still forces draw. You could probably get away with cutting 4 of your swamps to put it in, you have a lot of swamps and with the amount of draw you have you'll probably always have some in hand.

How do you intend to gather enough cards to your hand in order to properly storm Grapeshot when Pyromancers Swath has you discarding your hand at the end of every turn?

You have three draw related cards that cost you mana, are tricky to activate or have a very minor impact on hand size do you find them to be enough to get a decent storm brewing?

Only risk I can see is accidentally killing yourself with mill by drawing so many cards that you deck out. Other than that good plan.

Given the constraints of the challenge that I have imposed upon myself "not bad" is a pretty good result ^_^

[sacasm] Also, the octopus deck was awesome [/sarcasm]

If you put in 4 lightning greeves then you can give your Tim creatures haste with ease.

I actually have two Tim decks, one in red and one in blue if you would like to have a look you might find some better tims or enchantments that might help.

Goblin bomb is a good alternative win condition unless your opponent is playing any form of life gain and adding more things to let you flip coins is always a good idea for chance encounter.

necrogen spellbomb, you can force people to discard at instant speed, ie just after they draw a card while they are top decking or you can use it to draw a card if you need one.
