Yes, it wont untap two turns because counters are only removed if it WOULD untap. I will have no time until monday.

Evolving. After each round we'll vote on what to add/remove. We just need something to start - last time I ran a 4CB is about 5 years ago ...
Living Death? It's just one more mana than the Servitude. And what is Iname for? There is only a single other spirit in the deck: Seizan. Well and that Changeling.Drudge Skeletons/Skeletal Changeling => Should be Reassembling Skeletons.I would play Hidden Horror instead of Mind Maggots.Blood Ghast rocks in these type of decks ... and he is a Spirit! So maybe don't cut Iname if you include this one.
For 4CB we need something between 5 and 6 participants. And I need to find the banned list we used back then.
Well, what do you mean with "old rules"? That change came with 6th edition^^ Basically, if an artifact can be shut down through tapping, then it will say so on the card. Newer Howling Mines for example read "At the beginning of each player's draw step, if Howling Mine is untapped, that player draws an additional card." I can't name another card that got that errata, though. Mana Crypt for example is a lot more dangerous now ...Then you might also not know that now you can use permanents during their upkeep even before they have been payed for. Let's say there an Energy Flux in play. A Sol Ring can now tap and pay for itself.Well, when I comment on decks, I always do a breakdown, that's the only way you could do it right. I also present my decks structured and thought out - maybe check some of them out. You'll notice, though, that I barely get likes and responses and if I do, it's always the same 2 or 3 guys that I work together with. I need extended help from guys like Jessie or NorthernWarlord to get noticed at all. That's despite gicing sound advice to many people and decks here. I even run a service: If you need help on a deck, write here: http://www.mtgvault.com/puschkin/decks/puschkin-please-help-me/And I will go to your deck and do an in-deep analysis. Now check that thread out. It has almost 300 (!) comments. I have helped dozens of people. Now guess how many likes it has ... 15 ! As much as this stupid Tireless Tribe deck got in three days! And it's not even that I crave Likes. I could live without them, what I really want is comments and discussion on my decks. I don't even want "your deck is cool, bro" type of comments, I'd take good advice and criticism over compliments any day. But nobody ever does that. Instead they flock to the "Hot" page like moths and keep piling on comments and likes on whatever made it to the top for whatever stupid reason. Jessie told me that he is reluctant to reply on my decks because he feels he can't add much to it. This is something I could understand if that would apply to most readers - maybe the decks are too advanced. But if that was the case, they could at least leave that "cool deck, dude" or press the linke button. I prefer actual criticism, but getting those is better than nothing and it would be the logical consequence if people read the deck but can't come up with anything to improve. Since they do neither I simply do not know what the fucking problem is. BTW, I also always leave lengthy descriptions how the deck works, why I picked certain cards and how to play it. There really is no excuse "me no understanz" because everything is spelled out. But maybe that's the problem - everything longer than a Twitter message is ignored these days. Maybe you understand now why I got upset there in 2nd-turn-once-every-100games-win deck.
This is actually how every player and deckbuilder should think, not just Extraction players. The use and possible use of every card changes with every card you draw, every card that hits play and every card you and your opponent COULD draw.
Yes, this needs some work. You said you can bear some constructive criticism, so here we go:* Sunlace:There is no point in playing something like this if you run red. But I wouldn't add yet another burner either, I would use either Swords to Plowshares or Path to Exile to be able to handle creatures with regeneration, indestructible, persist/undying and so on which are very common these days.* Lava Spike:Why Lava Spike if you could run more Lightning Helix for example?* Blessed Reversal: Should be upgraded to Congregate.* Proper Burial:I don't see this doing much with just 9 creatures, 4 of which have a toughness of 1 and none of them being able to come back from the grave.* Martyrs's Curse:FINALLY somebody recognizing how powerful this is, especially in multiplayer! However, again, you run only 9 creatures and none of them has recusion. Maybe consider Squee?* Shower of Sparks:Doesn't do much. The deck has no card draw, so why go that low in the mana- and power curve? Try Grapeshot instead, it has much more potential. And keep in mind that the opponent's spells count towards storm, too.* Angel's Grace:I like this card but I don't think this is a deck that needs it. Consider Platinum Angel instead. Much more expensive of course but you need more creatures anyway and is it is right now, Angel's Grace will either be sitting in your hand unused to just prolong the game one more turn when you are in trouble.* Serra Angel:Unfortunately, she is pretty much outdated ... you said this deck is going to be expensive, try Baneslayer Angel instead :)* Sunglasses of Urza:As the deck is you don't need those.* You don't need those dual lands other than Plateau. Did you just add them to show off? Even Taiga and Savannah aren't needed since all colured mana of Privileged Position can be paid in white mana. * There is no artifact or enchantment removal at all. Since this is a burn deck at heart, I recommend Orim's Thunder. Strongly.* Chaos Charm: Should be upgraded to Boros Charm.* Other cards to consider (mostly newer ones):- Boros Fury Shield (SO good!)- Divine Reflection- Aurelia's Fury- Spitemare/Boros Reckoner (you can cut some Jade Monoliths if you include these)- Chandra Ablaze
You asked for it, so I am inspecting your deck. Not out of spite, though, I am doing so because that is what I usually do here: Giving solid advice on casual decks and trying to improve them without changing the style or theme.* I have bad news for you: Winter Orb doesn't shut down anymore when tapped. With that in mind it is qustionable if you still want to run Icy. I think Howling Mine is pretty much the only continous artifact left that can be shut down by tapping.* You run Urzatron just to support 4 X-spells? And they are rather old-school ... of course I like to see someone busting out Dwarven Catapult, but these days there are so many great alternatives ... take Comet Storm for instance. The only situation Dwarven Catapult is better would be 1-2 1/1 creatures attacking when you have 3 or less mana. In all other cases Comet Storm in vastly superior: It deals more damage, it is more flexible and it can also hit players! And for those situations early game where Dwarven Catapult is better? Well, you have enough small burners for that.* I don't see the use of The Rack in here, especially when coupled with Worbs! I would ditch it for another Black Vise or Wheel of Fortune (which should be in here, don't you think? To refill your hand with bolts and to feed the Black Vises. With Worb out there isn't much the opponent can do anyway).* Thunderstaff doesn't do much in a creatureless deck. Since it only prevents combat damage and only one per attacker (which shouldn't be many of at any given time since you are about to shredder those!) I think you'd be way better off with something like Sun Droplet. Works on all kinds of damage and does well next to Worb since both give you more time.* Expedition Map can fetch you the missing land to complete Urzatron. Could replace Icy.* I don't think you can afford to sacrifice Mountains to Lava Dart. I suggest Punishing Fire for this slot.To sum up:-4 Icy Manipulator +2 Expedition Map +1 Wheel of Fortune-2 Dwarven Catapult -2 Heat Ray +4 Comet Storm-1 The Rack +1 Black Vise-2 Thunderstaff +2 Sun Droplet-4 Lava Dart +4 Punishing FireOne slot open, maybe another Map or a fifth x-spell. Starstorm? Or maybe the 3rd Worb, however, focussing on that is dangerous when you can't shut them down.
If you are really out of ideas and in a lull, I will not only give you challanges but also ides how to spice up your magic life (EVERYONE ELSE: FEEL CHALLENGED YOURSELF!):My challenges:* "Pass the gas"Build a deck around Freyalise's Winds.* "The Fungusaur"Build a deck with the philosophy "what doesn't kill me makes me stronger"* "Junkdiving"Build the best deck you can only using cards from Prophecy, Planeshift and Legions.* "Uncommon"Build a deck with Uncommons-only (plus basic lands) in a format of your choice.* "Hands down"Build a Modern legal deck for an alternate universe where Magic is played with a starting hand of 0 cards (obviously, no mulligan and whoever goes first draws a card).* "The Lore"Build a deck that tells a story through card names, images and flavour text + some imagination. The resulting deck doesn't have to be strong, but should be playable.* "The Deck of Eli"Ask me what 4-Card-Blind is and how you can play it.* "The Challenge challenge"Come up with an idea how to challenge me beyond asking to build a deck around specific cards.
Here it is:http://www.mtgvault.com/puschkin/decks/occ-%C3%BCber-mask/
Wow, I totally missed out two cards:1) SECOND SIGHT! Very flexible in setting either player up and the entwine doesn't count towards converted mana cost.2) PARADOX HAZE!This is where the deck is getting nasty and annoying, so it's questionable if I should go that way ... but it is sooo tempting :)
But then you realized that Duskmantle Seer causes loss of life and said "nah, it won't do anything" :)EDIT:But that's a cool card, though, why have I never seen it before? Looks like the key card to a nice casual deck where you do all kind of nonsense during your upkeep.EDIT 2:Personal Sanctuary helped me to remember Paradox Haze, so thx :)
Oh, I missed this one! The origin of my name:I was born in 1975, so I grew up with Atari consoles, C64 and Amiga computers. That means arcade style games where you'll drop your name in a highscore list. My real last name is "Pusch", which is kind of boring. So I extended it to "Puschkin", like the russian poet Alexandr. However, most people think I named myself after the wodka brand "Puschkin". However, I prefer whiskey and haven't red a single Puschkin poem, so there is no connection to either one, just a nicer ring to my name. Since then I go by the nick "Puschkin" in every single game and forum.
Infernal TributeClaws of GixHelm of Possession
Why? Is it supposed to be a bad card?
Of course I am still accepting challenges. If I wasn't, I would have made this deck private again :)Stay tuned, working on the Über Mask now.
Changes like that are up to whoever builds this deck. And as Jessie said, the Scry 1 is perfect for this deck! And for a dual land, the Scry lands are still very cheap. AND, as I stated in that strategy article, don't save your money on the wrong end! When you dismantle this deck after some months, you will find a new home for the Temples because they are good for many decks.
Ponder maybe but Ornithopter does too little.Regarding Hot Page, I guess I owe that to you, Jessie. However, it's not being on Hot Page that I want, it's comments with suggestions - which is basically the same :P
Thanks! About the explanation: I usually do lenghty explanations but figured that most readers will skip it if it is too long ... you know, anything longer than a Twitter message is considered useless these days^^And as I said before: No suggestion will ever be "low profile"! For any suggestion or advice I get I will always assume it has it's merit and then check the viability. And even if I reject the suggested card, I always explain why, and the process of evaluating the card and expressing why I won't use it is healthy to understand the deck's inner workings! Besides, often times I may not include the suggested card but thinking about it leads to other thoughts and ideas that will make the deck eventually. In your case:At first, Psychic Strike doesn't look like it would fit - it mills cards, Memory Lapse would be the counterspell to go for this deck. However, what if my opponent casts a low-casting-cost spell that I have to counter? Or lets say I know the opponent has a land on top of his library and this won't get any damage in my next upkeep: That's where milling would be useful.Yet, I fon't have enough ways yet to look at the opponent's top card. In fact it's only Portent and if I see 2 lands and a one-drop, Portent let's me shuffle. So it would need more work to make Psychic Strike useful. I mentioned Elemental Augury. So, if I was really going to add red, Psychic Strike would be a good conisderation!Into the Roil:I thouoght about a Boomerang effect myself and had Recoil in my initial draft. Recoil has the slight chance to get rid of the bounced card permanently. However, the Seer basically acts as a Howling Mine, so I don't think their hands will ever be empty enough. That plus the cc3 made me cut it again. Into the Roil, however, is nice because of the low initial cost. And again, it made me thinking - Kicker is a very nice way to circumvent the Seer's drawback! And so does Buyback, for that matter! Adding red becomes more and more appealing (Shattering Pulse!).
Forget about Noxious Revival: MISINFORMATION! Always wanted to use that one.
