Progenesis and Green Sun's Zenith. Progenesis is arguably the best creature in the game. A 10/10 with "protection from everything" ends the game rather fast. A lot of top tier legacy decks combo into Natural Order, Green Sun's Zenith, ect to fetch Progenesis for the win. With a Green Sun's Zenith, if you generate 11 mana you can fetch him from your deck and drop him on the table. Pretty sweet. Green Sun's Zenith also allows you to grab any creature in your deck, and shuffles back in after you use it.

GSZ would be great here, allowing you to tutor up combo pieces, as well as allowing you to run Progen as an alt win con. I would probably take out Wellwisher for 3 GSZ and 1 Progen. Since you aren't using mana durring the opponent's turn, Quest for Renewal is wasted here. Try . Steely Resolve is also kinda hurtful, since it stops you from untapping your elves. You also have a few glaring weaknesses; although this deck is good against some, its bascally an auto loss against others. The three big ones are combo decks, such as TES and Spiral Tide (http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=154920), Counterballance decks such as This one: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=153897, and Dredge. You should definitely build a sideboard to protect you from such decks. TES
No. You can't have more than 1 copy of each legend on the battlefield. Big difference
One question: Casting Ulamog and using his ability costs... 30 mana? or 40+ mana if you are playing blue? I like the idea, but I don't know how viable it is. This seems to be a lot slower than No Elves is. You also are sacrificing your ability to have a sideboard. Also, I think your ramp base could be a lot faster. Check out my No Pro Elves deck to see what I mean. Atleast include Gaea and Eye of Ugin. What is the purpose of the Rings? I don't get them :/
Stoneforge Mystic. Also, 1 Basilisk Collar (On geopede=epic). Drop fling for Emerge Unscathed, it has the same net and stops chump blocking and doesnt kill your guy.
Bg? No way. Besides Br the only build that is better than mono-b is Bu, and the burn spells out-weigh the control elements that Bu offers, despite getting an the best manland in T2. I've tried to get it to work, but even Preordain/Mana Leak/Jace 1.0 is less powerful than Bolt/Arc Trail/Tutelage. Which is a real shame. Thanks for the vote though man! PS: Have you ever looked into Legacy Bant? I recently got an idea for a new take on Mythic Excalibur
The point of Shatter is to kill swords, not exactly an unimportant role with the new Sword. It might come out, but I would want to replace it with another red card, preferably one that kills equipped hawks. GftT is great, but black. That makes it only ok right now, since Caw-Blade is the only deck I really worry about. I don't like Captivating Vampire, as he is a 3 drop that is very easily killed.
Why do you think that Gatekeepers are better than Hexmages right now? I think that the ability to kill planeswalkers and first strike is very important right now. Shatter is something I've been testing, and a unsure of. I think it will come out, but I don't know what to replace it with. Why do you think GoftT should replace it? I don't like Captivating too much, since he is a 3 drop that is easily removable. Why do you think he is good? Dark Tutelage is amazing! It is a card I always want to have on the battlefield. I have never used up all my swamps and drawn another fetch, so I don't really care about 2:1 ratio. It works.
Wow, thanks man!
Huh. I guess that (assuming few Jaces and Gideons) such a meta would favor Gatekeeper. Interesting
You should post your Grixis deck, I'd like to see it
Great suggestion! I got taken to the cleaners by Naya, but Then I tried Etched in the 2nd and 3 games and won easily. Etched definitely has a spot mb, just need to work out how many. How do you like the current split?
What kinds of decks do you usually face off with?
Dude, I don't understand. If you call your deck "tourniment quality" you should expect people to be harsh... because they are greading a deck designed for tourniments. If its a fun deck don't call it that
Interesting how thats the deck you go to....
I would think that Hexmage is actually better in a low end meta, since they tend towards aggro decks, making his First Strike incredibly useful, plus his being 1 mana cheaper allowing another burn spell that same turn. Is this not your experience?
Hmmm... Grixis seems weak, since you lose so many good cards... Steel, Tidehollow, Court... I don't really see that working.
.... No. We are running 3 colors 16 lands right now. Adding a 4th is madness. And ETBT lands will kill this deck.
Thanks man. That means a lot.
Thanks! I love this deck. I'll check yours out asap
