Hushwing Gryff is the second card with this ability, the first being Torpor Orb. With either one out you would not have to sac the artifact. They do exactly what they say, creatures don't cause abilities to trigger =]This also means that if a card such as Soul Warden is already on the battlefield, and a creature enters the battlefield (with Torpor Orb/Gryff out) it won't cause you to gain life.

<__<That's actually a really nifty use of Rage Forger.
Yeah it's no problem =]
Well, there's no way I'm ditching Funeral Charm, so I suppose it's a swamp =PI have gotten flooded a number of times with this deck anyway, and you can argue that Waste Not is a pretty decent mana source. How do you like the rest of the deck? =]
Ah right...Hymn isn't modern legal. Boy is that a freakin shame =/
I don't know if there are any mana dorks that could benefit from plaxcaster...And sorry to say, I don't really know what I'd take out for them. I'd have to play the deck first. Maybe the Thopters/Memnites?
Oh goodness. I can see a few absolutely silly turns with this deck, and not all of them involve Waste Not (though, admittedly, a good number do). Any reason you chose Wrench Mind over Hymn? This also makes me seriously realize I need to find a spot for Waste Not in my Stabwhiskers EDH...Halp?
Yeah, a couple of my decks have over 200,000 views, which is just baffling to me.Plaxcaster is great in my opinion. I did run into the same issue as you though, that there aren't any two CMC frogs and just Spore Frog as a one-drop. That's why I went the dual-tribe route with mutants. I think that's why ramp could be helpful to jump to those 3 CMC guys early. I will admit, a frog only tribal deck is not as easy as one might think. My shop plays our own tribal format with a focus on oddball tribes, so I love working on these, so I'm glad to help =]
http://www.mtgvault.com/surewhynot/decks/268073/That's mine. It's A LOT different from yours, but you still might get some ideas from it, I dunno. I think my main suggestion would be the most obvious...You need more frogs. There's lots of nice little aggressive frogs out there. You can also go with two strengths of the deck's colors, ramp and bounce. Ramp means your dudes are out there earlier, and bounce means you just have more while they have to re-cast =]
Yeah my playgroup allows it. We allow anything that can become or produce a legendary creature to be used as a general. I have another deck that uses Genju of the Realm as its general, for example.
I actually made a Frog/Mutant dual tribal deck a while back. I'll have to dig up the link for ya, I think it might give you some ideas.
Unless you're dead-set on Sliver Queen as your general, I would strongly suggest changing your general to Sliver Overlord. It's tutor ability will let you fetch up the other legends anyway, and it's really helpful for getting the sliver you need for any situation.
Alright, since this deck has already sorta become the place for it, I ask you invite anyone you can think of to add their own ideas about this. If I'm going to talk to the admins about it, I want a lot of things to mention.
That's what I'm sayin. Stack order shenanigan decks are fun in their own right, but sometimes they give me a headache haha.
Hey, good to see ya back Jack. This deck looks like it's a blast to play...Maybe a bit too much micro-managing for my taste, but a blast all the same. Do you think four Prime Times is a little overkill? I feel like if the deck needs to abuse land drop shenanigans, a fourth Azusa might not hurt, or at least another effect like hers.
White and Blue is now JensDagon, and both of his "incarnations" have made some amazing decks.Netdecking is when less-than-skilled players look up a really, REALLY good deck online and copy it exactly. It's annoying enough to play someone who's netdecked a good deck that they have no idea how to pilot. It's another thing when that deck is your own creation.I like that idea as well. I know Ian especially never wants to commit the errors of V2 again, so I'll bring up all ideas to get the ideas flowing, but I'm sure the admins will steer the ideas away from anything that could create the same problems of the past.
Nice name =P
I could talk to them about it I guess, because I do see both sides of the argument. I think I've mentioned to them before that higher reputation should give users more hot deck "slots". As of right now, rep kinda does nothing but look nice. It would also be nifty if a deck got a star or something to signify it was a hot deck, I like that idea.
I've wanted to do an insect tribal for a long time. I think I might try to put one together soon, and to be honest, I'll be taking some ideas from this deck. I think what I like the most is your use of "old magic" as well as "new magic". It's not too often anymore that you see people embrace the old stuff. As for suggestions, off the top of my head Overrun just seems like an obvious choice.
Hey welcome back buddy =]
