For me it's actually been Black/Green (though that does include black haha). My Jarod EDH has always been really freakin good against it. Hell, my Jarod deck LIKES when things die and fill the 'yard. My Athreos deck also does well, but not as well as you might think. Then, of course, my Ink-Treader EDH just makes things...Crazy.

I've seen it a few times where someone rushes out their general and puts Greaves on BEFORE Horobi comes out, but yeah, most of the time that card is rendered useless. In fact this deck walks all over voltrons.

That is true, bounce becomes kill, and that is pretty powerful. Unfortunately Arty's the only one in our group with a truly dedicated bounce EDH. I will say that a guy in our group has a Memnarch EDH and it wrecks house when Horobi is around (It actually wrecks house in most scenarios, but being able to choose what to destroy followed by what to steal is kinda silly).

The deck that actually did the very best against this was our buddy Cody's Eight-and-a-half Tails. Even though it is a voltron, it can target Horobi so fast and so often that it would push him into a "nope"/"tucked" stage. Of course, Cody gave that deck to Arty, so FML.

The artwork especially yeah. It's both hilarious and creepy at the same time.

By the way, I forgot to say congrats on winning that competition! Big freakin accomplishment for sure.

Shroud. Glaring Spotlight negates Hexproof. But jokes aside we've all beaten this deck, it's just very hard and takes a very messed up mindset. Basically you have to accept that things will die *constantly*.

The real problem is that Horobi is ironically very hard to get rid of, at least for any length of time. As Arty said, most of the time what people use to get rid of Horobi would have worked anyway, so he's not as frail as one might think. This deck can produce so much mana alongside resource denial that Horobi will just come back in short order anyway. So then you think, "Ok, well I'll just tuck Horobi"...Until you realize it's literally impossible to tuck Horobi.

It's not unbeatable, but it certainly falls under that category of "that deck".

Now this, this is awesome. I don't think I've ever seen someone use Balthor as a general, and this deck fits him so well. It's a beautifully reckless design. I think my favorite card in this whole thing is Zombie Infestation. Loading up your 'yard while pumping out more zombies? Oh yes.

The shock is universal. You never see it coming. And by "it" I mean losing your entire board state to a one mana instant...

I can tell you first hand Trailblazer is a nightmare. It makes all zombies into something better than Royal Assassin. Royal Assassin with "haste" that can hit anything. With Trailblazer out Arty doesn't even block, he just taps ._.

And yeah, it's not even a feeling of anger from getting Touch'd...It's just confusion, shock, and sadness.

Yeah, they always do a great job. Unfortunately for the rest of us, some guy suggested Nefashu to Arty and he put it in. Nefashu is not fair with Horobi out =[

I think one of the most devious uses of Killing Wave came from (Surprise!) Arty. He was playing his Ashling the Extinguisher EDH (which he needs to upload...ehem) and played Killing Wave for 2. He also had a Massacre Wurm on the table.

Yeah, even without the absurd douchebaggery that happens with Ob 2.0 and Maralen (Honestly! A forced 13 life loss?! Oh dear god!), he's a great inclusion to most, if not all mono-black EDH lists. Tutoring is a big part of EDH and smacking someone for 10 is a less-than-subtle way of saying "NOT TODAY!"

Ok, it might seem like I forgot about this. That's because I did. I promise sooner or later I will get that list =]

By the way, just realized how absurd Killing Wave is with Erebos. I also just realized that I have both those cards in my Seizan EDH, and still haven't had that interaction happen yet...

Another M15 card you'll need to add...Chasm Skulker. With all this deck's card drawing, that thing will be Cthulhu.

Soooooooo when M15 hits the shelves, you need to grab a copy of the new Ob Nixilis for this.

I gotta say, I've always wanted to make an EDH for Damia, but never got around to it. I think it's already solid, but there are a few things I would try to work in. For one thing, you're going to be drawing a crapload of cards, so you should see if there's any cards that depend on drawing cards/amount of cards in your hand. I think there's a few out there you might really enjoy. One I can think of for sure is Psychosis Crawler.

I'm also not so sure you have enough wizards to justify having Patron Wizard or Azami in here. In the same manner, I'm not so sure if you have enough creatures to deal with Contamination.

It's a good deck but a few things have anti-synergy with each other and I think once you fix those issues it will be great. Another example is that you have 17 instants alongside Dosan, the Falling Leaf.

Also each of the three staple artifacts of EDH would be awesome in here. Sol Ring could give you an early Damia, Lightning Greaves can protect her (it'd be a shame if you payed 7 mana for her to just get popped right away), and the Top lets you organize all those cards you want to draw.

Unfortunately, a number of them aren't under 75 bucks, but I'll still post up a list of some of the more oddball ones...Maybe give people a few ideas.

My group of friends and I have our own tribal format we play at our shop. Between the three of us on the site (me, Quasimofo, and DoTheWumpus) there's a shit-ton of goofy tribes. I'll try to compile a list.
