Actually it's Vision Charm.

Actually phasing is used in some forms of StifleNought. I forget the spell, but it's a charm that phases a creature out as one of its modes.Anyway, I'll give it a look if/when I can. Been real busy lately =/
Y'know, I tried it out when it was spoiled (via proxy) and it's often not as useful as Immortal Servitude. I say often because there were occasions where it was much better, but those were pretty damn rare.
Iggy is 4 mana, and totally different from targeted discard spells like Hymn, Cabal Therapy, and the like. It's more of a bomb/combo piece than anything. Apples and oranges my friend, apples and oranges...
I love the idea of this duel deck. Each one is trying to beat the other, but their way of doing that makes the other stronger! Very cool concept. One of the best cards for a Filth deck (i.e. B/G self mill graveyard shenanigans) is Grisly Salvage. It's also super cheap...like ten cents.
With all the discard and uneven board presence, a Pox would hurt him more than the opponent. Smallpox is a fixed amount of stuff, so it always does what you want.
Yeah, Wumps has a Goat tribal. It can get out of hand if you're not careful. Goats...Who'd have thought.
And that's really what makes it so fun, you never know what crazy creature type someone is gonna play.
Yeah, my buddy Matt made it. It's surprisingly good. Lots of support tech/spells.
Yeah. Also count yourself lucky if you play an EDH game against Phelddagrif. It's kinda like a cult movement thing. Players who use Phelddagrif as their general never care about winning, they just make sure everyone else has a good time.
Yeah, Questing Phelddagrif
You can chain it with Khalni Heart Expedition to ramp out a stupid amount of forests. Since this deck likes to spam Beacon of Creation as much as possible, I want a LOT of forests as soon as I can.
You can get this badass deck for about 10 bucks. Wtf this is silly.
Oh hell, I don't remember all of our shop's rules at the moment. Basically though, all the "main" tribes are banned (Wizard, Elf, Goblin, Merfolk, etc.) so that only oddball tribes are played. Then there are some guidelines as to what counts towards a tribal deck, but in layman's terms it's anything with a strong focus on one specific creature type or a deck that features at least 12 of the same creature type. Our group has all sorts of weird tribes come through. Hell, I got my ass kicked by Noggles!
I noticed a pattern in your decks, that you dislike sacrifice and graveyard mechanics. That's why I had you do this challenge too. When I see deck builders with a lot of potential, I like to nudge them a little in directions that they wouldn't normally want to take. Making you build something you're not as comfortable building will, in the long run, make you a better builder.Angus is a great and popular commander, so that is one reason why he's so expensive. The other is that he's from a very old set, so there's just not that many Angus's around anymore. Rarity bumps up prices too. This is looking pretty good now. Though I must say I've never liked Boneyard Wurm. I've often found that by the time you're able to play it as more than a dead draw, you could have played something much better. Also, I would replace your Penumbra Wurm with Simbiotic Wurm or even better, Pentavus.
It's actually an anagram for "Garfield PhD" =]
<_______<Hrm...I think I have a few decks that could work for this challenge. This also reminded me that I STILL need to compile a list for that tribal deck.
Chromatic Lantern is the best option if you're looking to mana fix.
You just got a lot of energy. I get it. I was a lot like you when I was younger.Stax is the use of mana denial, often through the use of multi-layered control, with Smokestack (stacks or Stax) at the heart of the whole thing.http://www.mtgvault.com/quasimofo/stax/My buddy Arty is an expert in all things control, but Stax/Stox (Stax with Pox) is one of his specialties. If you're gonna ask him for advice though...keep the ranting to a minimum. Those British, they're not fans of ranting =PAs for the lands...Shatterbang Bros. have three useful abilities, but their first one is arguably the most useful. Since it needs black mana, Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth would be sexy in here. Then of course, if you're running Urborg, Cabal Coffers goes beautifully to provide a ton of black mana. There's also a few recursive lands. Buried ruin gets back artifacts, Volrath's Stronghold snags creatures...Of course there's also just basic lands. You can never go wrong with basic lands.
Well, you're on the right track. I'd have personally gone with a more control-heavy design, but everyone is different =]You might want to try out a Stax package...Also don't forget my beloved Bloodghast would work wonders here. You need about 6 or 7 more lands in this sucker at least.Oh, and Whip of Erebos would be good to give you a nice life buffer in case you go a little overboard with sacking stuff. Plus it will let you stretch out the uses of your creatures for some extra sacs.
