When I first added Nest to this I was skeptical, but now I love it. Not sure about Shivan Meteor, but there is some potential for a nifty R/G adaptation to this deck or at least to the core idea of this deck. I think Blasphemous Act (is that the card?) would be fun with a bunch of Nests on the field. All those are great suggestions, but since I already sort of burned my 4-5 mana slot(s) on all the Beacons (which really make this thing run) I can't afford to put any of them in. But hey, Urd is crazy so that's nice =]

Read the post again. The entirety of the joke is in the post...and then I put up a trollface.Yeah I've just been really, really busy lately, and so have all my regular group mates. I think things are finally starting to wind back down so you should see more of us, or at least me, on here again.
A buddy of mine has that phrase tattooed on his arm.Speaking of buddies, all my regulars in my play group are finally starting to be less busy, myself included! So that SHOULD mean you'll start seeing us post again. Maybe not so much Wumps...His wife Allie is preggers, so.....As for the deck, it looks like a blast to play. BUG (Soltai? Mardu? I'll learn them all eventually) has always been one of my favorite three color style. Even though it's a sorcery, Treasure Cruise looks like a good bit of fun. It'd be nice if you could somehow squeeze a second one in somewhere. I think the only other thing is that I would go for a second Dismember in place of the Disfigure, otherwise it looks great =]
I know a good joke about Ebola, but you probably won't get it...http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20121111062145/adventuretimewithfinnandjake/images/3/3e/Troll_Face.png
And of course I'm also intently watching Mardu and Abzan...but I think you know why for those two =P
It's often the sleep deprived ramblings that lead to the most innovative ideas...Sometimes it just takes a while =PI'm definitely keeping my eye on the Sultai clan...I feel like good things could come of them. Good "extracty" things....
First off, I love the name. I really have not done much related to magic lately. All the people in my regular group are either super busy or out of town. Maybe playing something like this will help me refresh my mind.
Also thanks for reminding me to put Garruk, Apex Predator in my Jarad and Thelon EDHs. It's...silly.
Alrighty...time for me to actually comment on this bastard =PThe first issue I see is that you have none of the available artifact lands. They're not end-all, be-all, but they're just nice to have with Glissa.I worry that you don't have enough means of getting your artifacts back. Buried Ruin, Arcbound Reclaimer, etc. would be welcome additions. On the flip side, you could always do with more artifacts, period. Some good ones I've seen with Glissa include Mindslaver (Force them to attack something that'll kill them, get Mindslaver back, repeat), Nevinyrral's Disk (It's a nice deterrent that you can just get back again and again), and Molten-Tail Masticore (Sac it when it becomes too much trouble, get it back when it's more favorable, load up your 'yard...All good).Beacon of Unrest is always a nice option, especially since it can nab you some other Artifacts. If you want an extra sac outlet, one of my personal favorite B/G creatures, Doomgape, can do wonders. Finally, don't use Triumph of the Hordes. For one, it'll get you punched in the face. Secondly though, it's often unwise, even in EDH, to mix Infect with normal damage. If you want a big, flashy finisher do something like Overwhelming Stampede, or hell the classic Overrun would work pretty nicely in here.
Ok, wow, A long series of unfortunate events have kept me completely away from this site for a loooooong time. This is my own self-reminder to look this over soon =]
Black EDH decks are sort of my specialty, and I'm not too shabby with B/G ones either. Plus my Jarrod EDH makes a few good uses out of Nissa, so when I get back home (out of town ATM) I'll be sure to look this over
A storm deck that wins with tokens.A storm deck. That wins. With tokens.I don't really know what to do with my emotions right now...
Wow, you've been quite busy. All of a sudden I check your profile on here and there's like, 6 new decks for me to mull over. It's like Christmas!I can only imagine this running even smoother with the old fetchland reprints coming to Khans. This deck is pretty damn suicidal. It's fast enough to make it work, but I still wonder if there'd be some way to wiggle in some healing effects. What that would be, I'm not really sure, it's more me thinking out loud than anything.
I think my favorite part of this deck is the use of Immortal Servitude. Very smart. Throughout the game you'll be dropping a few Zubera here and there, and killing them off, but you'll rarely get the explosive mass death of zubera that is oh so much fun to see. That is, until you drop five mana into Servitude and bring back an army that carries a second threat of going nuclear. On the subject of having a bunch of two-drops, I suggest tryin out Aether Vial. It'll get you a few more Zubera drops in the long run. Also, despite having Floating Dream, which can draw you a ton of cards, I think some extra card draw might not be a bad idea. Oh, and I love Devouring Greed. Amazing finisher for most spirit decks that can run it.
They actually meantioned in a follow-up podcast to the article that they're still working on how they will introduce reprints without "saturating the blocks with reprinted cards that have little to do with the story or mechanics". They talked about a number of ideas for doing this, but mostly they kept expressing that they don't want the blocks to become ruined by an abundance of reprints.
I have and I'm very happy about it actually. I've thought for a long time the core sets needed to go and just be their own stand-alone product to buy on the side. While I'll always be suspect about Standard, the changes might get me to dip my feet back into it...we'll see. I might just continue to stay in the sidelines, offering help to the tourney brainstorms like I did with Kuldotha Rust, Lucky Charms, and American Control, but the added diversity does give me hope for the format.I also am very happy about these changes because of my love for the story of magic. With the writers having more production ability and with the "space" issue taken care of, the rich world(s) of magic can really start to grow.
Cultivate is always a good standby, though Harrow might be fun to chain with Rampant Growth...Plus I think it's cheaper.
I was asked to look at this deck by Northy, so here I am. I have a few concerns about the mana curve. It's a tad backwards and could get a large speed boost if you cut a few of the 4s and 5s for more 1s, 2s, and 3s. Perhaps more mana dorks to really give it a jump. I also don't think that as it stands the deck can efficiently run Nissa's Expedition. Hope that helps!
This has been discussed below vvv =]
This comment made me giggle. I can't look at anything right now though. I'm already halfway through a 60 dollar bottle of scotch...
