Thanks for reminding me, I need to update this a little =]

LE has the advantage that you can (well, have to) suspend it. This lets you set up for a nasty gravestorm from Bitter Ordeal. In addition, it has the potential to cause a LOT more things to be sent to the 'yard. Best of all, in my opinion, is everyone sacs the creatures instead of having them destroyed...Nothing avoids sacrifice =]
There are two major limiting factors between Legacy and Modern when it comes to Iso-Pox (in fact these are limiting factors of each of the "Big Three"). The first being the artifacts. Most of the crippling artifacts available to Iso-Pox in legacy are just not available in Modern, and even worse, few things can come close to the same effect. The second thing is the lack of Enlightened Tutor. Even if you had these awesome trinkets, it's a much bigger chore to get them into your hand. You have to do things like run a full playset of Isochron (you could probably drop to 3 by the way). Now, you could say there's a third issue -- No Pox. However, you do have Smallpox, and some Iso-Pox lists just run that and they do great. I personally like "Big Pox" more, but we can deal.So you have Isochron, you have Seek, and you have Smallpox. The trick now is to finagle the deck to have similar layers of defense that its Legacy big brother has. I have to say, as far as the spell suite goes, you did a damn good job. The legacy version IS better, sure, but not by very much, and that's awesome. Normally I would say you should ditch CotC for Living End, but in this case, CotC is working as a psuedo-smokestack, and the only other thing I can think of for that slot is Descent into Madness, and I think that would get too out of hand (plus you have the whole issue of no Mysty =/). SOOOOO, what I think you should do instead is have both CotC and LE. CotC is your sorta-Stax and LE is your sorta-Disk.I think that's all, but as you can see I was ramble-typing haha. I literally just put down what came to mind, and I'm not sure if I left anything out, but if I did, I'll be sure to add it in later =]
Well GyKx, you got a new "follower" in me. I've been preaching this same thing for a while =]
Child of Alara's a cool general, but I don't know how effective this deck can be with only Progenitus as a creature =/I'd personally fill it with a ton of recursion spells, and creatures that can keep coming back, or that bring things back from the graveyard. Then you can have some cool sac outlets so that you can pop Child anytime you need to.
Why would I do that? It slows down the deck
Hrm...I have been considering the benefits of the Needle over the Chalice. I have to say, your report along side the fact that I've noticed I rarely side in Chalice...Kinda making me think about a swap =/And like you said, why worry about extracting something if you can do something just as mean (and sometimes worse), let them play a card you have rendered useless >=}
Seth, you have a daughter?! I'll be damned.Very cool budget deck too, looks pretty fast =]
It was a honey-BBQ cayenne pepper dry-rub, and it did have an apple =](It was AMAZING)
Hey welcome back my poetic friend! I will take a look at ^^^^^ this deck once I get back from a pig roast BBQ (yes really) =P
Oh man, I really need to fix this deck. It's WAY different now than I have it here haha. Thanks for reminding me though =]
So...This deck needs Witchstalker =]
Far less mana for unblockablility, and with an exalted deck like this, you only need a handfull of unblocked swings.
Hey man, I hate to say it but I haven't the slightest idea what Highlander is. When you said it at first I though you were talking about EDH =/I'll still try to give some ideas for you, but yeah...I don't know this format at all. Sorry =[
This is so freakin goofy, but it looks like it works really well. Nice going man, I would not have thought of these kinds of shenanigans =]
That's not such a bad idea...I think I'll try out having 2 and see how it works from there.
Also, it appears the admins have made it so downvotes no longer affect your rep. Don't feed the trolls, and they'll starve =]
I could see it now. Crush Dreams: instant. "Put target card from outside the game exiled under your control." =]There would be nothing extraction couldn't reach, wishes would no longer be a loophole so to speak. And doomsday mirrors would truly become a test of who's the smarter and ballsier player. I'd love it. I never really got into yugioh...I have nothin against it, just never had the history with it I do with magic. Yugioh didn't teach me to read, magic did =P
Here's the thing about Grasp. It allows for versatility. Is Seek better? In most cases yes, it is...seek is, and probably will be for a very very long time, the overall best extraction card out there. It's instant, it gains you life, and it's direct extraction. However, for one extra mana and sorcery speed, you can hold the card you take in reserve and USE IT. This in some ways gives you the opponent's entire deck as a secondary sideboard. Hell, I've won a game by grasping a guy's Daze and using it on him. And it has always been my dream to have a card that can extract sideboards. One day...I will have my wish >=}Also welcome back WnB!
Thanks. I'll try to give it a look, but it might be some time before I can post anything about it. I'm not at home (out of town for a wedding), and thus can't use my proxying equipment. I like to make a proxied form of any deck I'm looking over so I can physically see how it plays out. Still, I'll look at it and see if there's anything that I'd immediately think of suggesting.
