I re-use a lot of the more expensive cards between all my decks, since buying an individual Revised dual land for each of my decks that need them would be...a LOT of money. So, taking into consideration the pseudo-proxies and stuff I already had from before, I would say this cost me 100 bucks to make. That's not to say it will be that cheap for you, especially with the rising price of the lands in the deck =/ But the deck has a pretty stable mana base anyway, so I wouldn't be too worried about the lands. If you want to cut down the budget substantially, you can just adjust the lands as needed =]

Hrm, I might put ZP back in. IMHO, it's a grossly underestimated card. It's like playing a micro-Elesh Norn, and with token spam like you have, that will be brutal. Also I personally would drop down to 2 tect edges and go up to 2 vaults or...hell I dunno, there's lots of options aside from that, but I'd have to play it
Found this picture recently and have already put in the order at the shop for it to be made into sleeves. Perfect chiaroscuro picture =] http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lqc5ery2qf1qg34bjo1_1280.jpg
I can see how this won to be honest. What did you change about it?
I'll get together a list of some of the generals My friends and I use that are a little unorthodox. A few are on your list already =]
The next best thing would be Birds of Paradise, but if you can't work with those I would go with some mix of Llanowar Elf and Avacyn's Pilgrim =]
This dude threw in a play set of Krark's thumb during a trade because he didn't want them. I just had to do something with them, and have always wanted a goofy fun coin flip deck, so that was the turning point haha =]
I use the Sliver's blinking ability much more in cases where they would otherwise die. If I have a 50% (at least) chance of saving them, that's better than the 100% chance of losing them, y'know? I also use them late(er) game to spam coin flips, and yes, for blocking shenanigans since like you said, even one thumb makes them nigh untouchable =P To answer your first question in short: They're good early game aggro that has a "lucky" safety-net. Just remember to use the blink not when you want to, but when you need to =] The things in here that are 4-ofs are the things I want to draw more than anything else. If you notice, everything else is a 3-of. That's not a coincidence. In your case, making this budget-friendly (and I advise everyone who wants to make their own version of this) I would suggest going for a 4th Gemstone Cavern and/or a 4th Scalding Tarn. My math might be off a little, but I think the chances of any 3-of in your opening hand is ~6% and the chance of any 4-of is ~10%. And, as expected, that is about how often I draw Gemstone Caverns. To be completely honest though, the land is in here mostly because it's pretty sweet starting off with a "Luck Counter" when playing a luck-based (until you rig it =P) deck.
There's a smexy silver dollar in the deckbox now, but there wasn't always, and trust me, there have been times where nobody had a coin and it was funny, but sucked at the same time =P And I'll check on it as soon as I get a chance =]
Honestly I don't know why it has so many either. It's a fast deck, sure, but it's not amazing like you said, and it certainly isn't my best deck. It just kind of happened to be honest =/
Hell yeah I'll bring it!
You're the closest yet, pointing out the book is about the devil and the main character's relations with him. The reference is way more deep seeded than that though. This deck, like most of my tribal decks, is meant for a fun/"business casual" Tribal format played at my local card shop. It's a ton of fun, and over the years I have seen some REALLY interesting creature types used in a tribal fashion.
Haha, no, but I wish I knew it. I personally think it's a language with a bad reputation...it's really quite beautiful =/ Master and Margarita is, however, one of my favorite books =]
The thing about having both Vexing Devil and Browbeat in the same deck is it really cuts away the "oh, I'll just take the damage, no big deal" side of the decision. More often than not though, the star of this deck is Hellrider. Even having just one out on the field can win me the game without dealing a shred of combat damage =P
Anyone know if Gatecrash will have some coin flip mechanics? In the last few sets it seems there has been a slight splash of it here and there.
For a budget list this is a pretty good Stompy, even better, it's one of the rare times I see a deck called "stompy" actually done as a correct "stompy" =] I think the one major issue you'll have with this is the 16 lands. Being budget, you don't have quite enough speed/efficiency to run 4 lands short of 20. I might cut out the Naturalizes and two of the Acidic Slimes to add in 4 more forests. Hope that helps =]
Alright, I didn't notice you had made changes and stuff...I'll look at it tomorrow For right now I need sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep http://www.myfacewhen.com/images/160
I used to have it in the deck actually, but took it out because it was honestly overpowered in the deck. This deck is about having fun to the point that your opponents won't even care they lost. With that card though, that aspect of fun was gone almost completely =/ It's one of those cards that looks like it would be fun at first glance, but then when you see it in action, it's a whole different beast. I could put it into the SB though for people who really want a taste of "Bad Luck" =P
Well, if you want to go the way of lifegain I can suggest a bunch of things for that, but if not, then I still have some things to suggest =P Cathar's Crusade to make the army nice and beefy, Mimic Vat to grab anything you kill and make lots of it, and that sorcery that puts pegasis creatures in equal to your life total (can't think of its name, but it could be a bomb for this deck)
Also, what do you think of the deck itself?
