Hrm, well then the two problems I'd say you have with this is that it's 1) not always fast enough, and 2) faces a diverse group of decks. The second problem is much harder to fix...the facts are, decks have weaknesses, so your one deck against multiples is not going to able to handle all the diverse win-cons. However, fixing the first problem should give you a better chance with the second. So, the issue is your deck needs speed...well, the way I would fix that is to re-vamp this thing into a spirit token deck (Orzhov does this very well), a vampire and/or zombie horde, or just some other kind of black/white weenie stuff. I think tokens would do you the best, as those can be readily spammed and allow you to beef up Vish like crazy. All this aside, this deck really is solid, and you shouldn't worry about it *too* much. Hope I'm helping so far =]

Oh wow, this is WAY different than mine O_O But I like it =] I revamped mine a bit to have more evasion and unblockable stuff, but not to this degree =P Welcome to EDH =]
Honestly this looks very solid. What is it, when you lose, that you lose TO? not what card specifically, but what mechanic, or theme, trick, etc. does it? At this point, without knowing this deck's weakness to your local meta, I can only suggest Pawn of Ulamog to double the sac power.
Alright, deck's been re-vamped, works way better now than it did before =]
Personally, I would lose 3 Swamps, Mind Slash, and Breeding Pit. Shame you gotta pitch the hand squeezing rats, but it makes sense. My group does play Tower, but only in decks that would *need* it. Another thing I might ditch in place of one swamp is the Trep Blade. It's damn good, but eh...it just doesn't feel right in here.
Ah, but see that's the brilliance of Necropotence. You don't actually DRAW cards with it, you put them into your hand =]
He's honestly the one I'd choose. My buddy Arty already uses a broken-as-shit Zedruu deck and I've never been a fan of Numot (plus land destruction in EDH will get you killed very quickly). Plus, Ruhan has dat epic Raymond Swanland artwork =] Also, I've decided how I want to re-structure this thing, but will do it later, as right now, I must sleep =]
Hrm...Merica colored EDH. Alrighty, might just do that =]
But I already did GBU ={
Yeah, I probably will tinker (HA!) with this deck over time and shift it over to a design more akin to spamming unblockable stuff. That said, I've always loved the Graft ability, so I wanted my Simic colored EDH to abuse that...BUT I also didn't want to make a Kraj EDH. BUUUUUUT, now I look back and think that I already did a ton of grafting tricks with my Animar EDH...soooo, you might see this damn thing change drastically some time soon -_- Omniscience with this deck is...kind of unfair. With all the card drawing (and yes, I realize I'd probably do much more drawing with evasive shenanigans) I very frequently draw it, and once it's played, I can dump my entire hand, swing, reload it, rinse and repeat. Oh, and throw me a color/combination of colors to do for my next general =]
See, that's the amazing thing about EDH. There's no one way to build a deck for your general. I've seen two people use the same general, and their game looked like polar opposites playing against each other. I'd love to see your take on this guy =] As for help with dredge, I can give you some aid, as I've faced dredge a lot of times over the years...but WnB and EthanLewis would probably be your best bets, as they've actually designed and played it more than once =]
If it counts for anything, our shop owner had Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy on in the background (Big ass tv in the back of the tables' room) and that's where I got the idea for the deck's name. And like I've been telling others, I've been trying to find and design EDH decks with general in colors I have yet to use, so this is one to check off =]
I built a Vintage Extraction about a year ago on proxies, and it works wonderfully. The problem is it has about a 10-90 matchup against Glue, and it also has trouble against Oath, believe it or not. Finally, it plays so much like a combo deck versus true Extraction that I just couldn't bring myself to keep playing it =[
That stinks =/ I love EDH because of how genuinely different it is compared to anything else...
How come you ignore EDH? I would have pinned you as someone who'd love EDH. Anyway, yeah, I've been trying to make some new EDH's for generals whose colors I haven't used yet. Mono-Red was one of them. A big problem with mono-red in EDH is that red is the color that gets hurt most from the 40 starting life...and so with this guy, I can put everyone into a more comfortable kill-range. As for the Overblaze, etc. stuff, I thought about it, but I think it's a little too janky versus being worth it =/
Oh right...you do play glue e_e I can't help but have a deep hatred of Glue...vintage Glue/Elmer Stax is the very reason that vintage Extraction doesn't exist. And that's sort of what I meant, using the strengths of a color in new/interesting ways. ...That last cluster of metaphors gave me a headache hahaha.
That's great dude. But let me remind you, friends don't let friends play Glue/Elmer Stax. And yeah, I agree that wizards has done a good job so far with making blue aggro more about tricks and control. I personally like it when the color pie is muddled up a little, so long as the way it's done stays true to the color overall. For example, red control comes in the form of things like kazuul, vent sentinel, and rage nimbus. It's control, but with a violent, head-strong method. I will say I'm surprised your friends jumped over legacy and straight into vintage. That'd be like teaching a kid to read by handing the The Odyssey. Also, how are they with EDH?
Well, yes, but blue aggro is a bastardization of aggro and the color pie in his eyes. To some degree, I have to agree with him =/
That was rather civil considering Wumps' loathing of all things blue aggro... I love me some seafood too, and may I say, I make one HELL of a lobster bisque =]
My one worry about this deck is it probably won't be fully understood by a number of people =/
