Heh, if you add intruder alarm then you get infinite mana.
That means stream of thought would fit the deck ;)

And some ancient tech against snoopgoblins.
Leyline of singularity. Simple as that, and it often slows down aggro.
I use it whenever token decks are in abundance, and started using it back when splintertwin was a thing.

Well, if you don't believe me, and you don't test it, I can't be blamed for not warning you ;)

Against mill it does. Mill excell at taking out combo.
You can try with the 1, 2, 3 test.
Turn 1 mill casts a tome scour, mill for 5.
Turn 2 mill casts a glimpse the unthinkable, mill for 10.
Turn 3 mill casts a tome scour and a glimpse or mind funeral, mill for what you think you can take.

That's about thirty cards removed, plus your hand and draw which means you got 20 left in your library.

Think your wincon will survive that ?

I think this could stand against most mill as long as you use noxious revival wisely.
You must respond to the graveyard hatred like surgical extraction by saving the card they target to make the extraction fizzle. Against other gravehate save what most likely starts the combo. Again some arti-hate and 2 surgical will get you far. You need something against leyline of the void.

Mesmeric orb mills all, and has great synergy with fraying sanity.
I play both with stream of thought which gives immunity to mesmeric orb by reshuffling other stream of thought and whatever is needed as well.

I usually tell my opponent what I play.
Nothing is more demoralizing than being told HOW you will be defeated ;)

These are my countermeasures, so chances are you will never face them.
No other millers use my tech, they go with some classic tech.
But you might get an idea of how my concept of multiple cardabilities work, and that might give you an edge, because it will give you flexibility.

I googled
Modern storm adnauseam storm

Found a storm variant closer to what I had in mind, but still far far away.

It's more like a Warren storm but with adnauseam and past in flames.
Uses plenty if 0-cost artifacts, and even an x-cost one.

Adnauseam is pretty much there to draw the combo.
Could be using Angel's grace, but not so sure about that anymore.

My mind is probably even more set on the past than Google is ;)

But I can see that with your "fillers" you open up the possibility of mox opal like p.diddy

In any case the card lightning storm seems to be an easy way around it all,
And thassa's will be even more so.
Adnauseam storm was pretty glass-jawed back then.
Izzetstorm is the hardest one to fight from a mill point of view.

No problem.
Here are the how to beat details:
Spellskite absorbs some of the damage from a grapeshot storm if I have a good number of islands in play.
Jorubai murk lurker attacks until the moment where the storm player goes of, then I respond to the storms on stack by casting devour flesh or tribute to hunger on the jorubai.
Beckon apparition takes out past in flames. The same with rakdos charm, but it can also kill someone who tries to play 20+ goblins.
Suffer the past also takes out flames of the past as well as giving me life.

Counting the main board I had 14 spells to deal with storm plus those 8 from the sideboard.

My current mill will get defences close to that amount.

Take a look at the sideboard of my deck "back in 2018"
Is has a classic "wicked" sideboard and it was geared to work against storm as well.
It had almost no mill left in it, but back then past in flames was a huge thing.
It may not look like it can handle storm, but it was tested extensively. Many of the sideboard cards may not seem like a card that can take on storm, but like always every single card has multiple functions. Even jorubai murk lurker can deal with storm if it attacks long enough.

In many ways it looks like the above, but with ad nauseam.

It's pretty classic.
It uses several tricks to become immortal so it can use adnauseam to draw the entire deck.
The kill usually varies during time periods.
Newest kill is that thassa's whatever. It has used laboratory maniac before.
You use the search spells to remove the library.
With a whole library accessible you can usually cast a storm depending on the design.
Simian spiritguide is usually part of the combo.

At mtgtop8 it reads out as 8%
4% adnauseam storm
3% ur storm
1% jeskai ascendancy storm

Results are within the last two weeks.

Congrats...

Mill is at 2% there.

I wrote the post "stream of thought" as a guide to the card.
So far stream of thought has 14 reasons to be played, and 6 of them are outside mill and selfmill.

I believe you could replace tome scour to get flexibility.

And why play the crank without the Guildmage that sets it into infinity mode ?

Not as flexible as humans are in general, but it's certainly a nice idea and a good start. The falcone certainly adds something.
Theres a shape shifter "mirror entity" that has been in several sliver designs.
In general treat this as if it was a sliver deck.

I think borrowing green/white parts of vizier/tools could give it an edge.
Especially the green critter that let's you draw into more creatures.
Kitchen finks to fight burn, details like that.

By pure incidence mtggoldfish has also made a primer on hardened humans.
And you might find some cool stuff there.

Heh! This deck just gave me the 14th reason to play stream of thought.
The more you cycle, the higher the chances are that you draw a stream of thought, and then you reshuffle 4 cycle cards or three and another stream. This actually makes cycling rather interesting. Shark typhoon and that angel cycle card could give you a defence while you just cycle and cycle.

I've made a new post just named stream of thought where I intend to store future reasons.

Never seen smash up before, but if it's like my halfdeck concept it could also have inspired them.

Heh, googled it, and by the description of it it seems witch has either bought them or copied them.

But it's clear that magic has sort of inspired them as well.

But then again, they kept the tribes more open so that it sort of doesn't become totally the same.

So my idea was actually money worth. I really gotta get myself an influencer, cause I've had so many ideas through my life that I've seen surface some years after I've gotten them.

I got the idea of skins for items long before skins surfaced in computer games, but the concept is rather simple, any furniture, or shelf item should be made so that you could buy physical skins. Imagine if your ghettoblaster could be pimped like a car. Chairs would have different polsterings to choose from.

Imagine the whole world being "skinned" with personal preferences you could skin your entire home in gold glimmer look or pink or military camouflage, your kitchen could be filled with red/white candystriped items.

It would be a more selective world, but boy would it be fun to live in.
