It's not modern legal but consider thoughtlash. Or whatever its called. The blue enchantment that allows you to mill yourself to prevent damage.

I feel like it would be easier to just buy your opponents house, and have it buried in gold dubloons while their still inside. That should be the real win-con of this deck.

I just hate dead cards so much.

but what if they use exile removal? or you just want to kill something in order to get more value out of it. I undeerstand you don't need it, but playing without sac outlets with all these gravecrawlers and vengevines just feels wrong to me.

well one thing is darksteel plate. That's the first thing that comes to mind. Another useful thing is aestheticism, which is good against spot removal, though not perfect against boardwipes.

its more that at 4 mana izzet guild mage can start doulbing your draw and dig spells. Desperate ritual is kind of irrelevant for that purpose.

I feel like since having 2 heartless summonings in play kind of ruins half your creatures you would be better off playing with just 3 copies. So you don't end up with a dead card in hand. Then again given how integral it is to the deck functioning, maybe its alright to risk a dead card.

alright well here is the big qeustion of whether izzet guildmage will fit, how often do you find yourself starting your turn with 4 mana and no way to win?

I feel like you really need a sac outlet in a deck like this. It just feels weird that you don't have one. Maybe bloodthrone vampire in order to force blocks?

There are no instants in here that burn your opponent. This isn't a burn deck its just RDW!

do you want anti - boardwipe tech or anti - spot removal tech? Or just exile recovery?

Well when do you ideally end the game and where do you realistically end the game?

What it comes down to is what's going to win more often, an overrun or 10+ 6/6s. In this deck I see overrun being the star. Really it's about untapping lands vs drawing cards.

Your deck description is epic. I like that almost as much as the deck itself. Also mayhaps a fathom mage for a draw engine?

Myself I like Izzet Guildmage for his ability to wreck things using a lava spike and desperate ritual. That's just me though. Also he makes for a decent draw engine with manamorphose. I suppose I like my Izzet guildmage is all.

If you cut conflux you could run 0 plains and the deck would run that much more smoothly.
