A friend runs Worldslayers in his mono green spider deck. He stalls until he gets both Worldslayer and Darksteel Plate on a creature, then removes as many blockers as posible and swings :)

Another thing you could do is equip Invisible Stalker with Worldslayer and Darksteel Plate :p

I've seen a game where Oblivion Rings where used to keep some of the permanents after Worldslayer triggered.

There's a small problem with that, I live in South Africa and at the current exchange rate $10 = R80 (about) and that's if I get someone to go halvies with me. It also excludes the postage and import costs :(

You need search for Liquimetal Coating, unfortunately there is none in standard (as far as I know)

A guy in my group is using a similar deck to get his brother back into playing, but he has a set of Hero of Bladehold in his. Good [enter deity here] is the deck fast. My fastest pre rotation deck (my gobbies) was too slow to keep up :(

You could always use land search to reduce the number of lands in your library, or a more destructive way would be to target yourself with a kicked Sadistic Sacrement.

I don't see why people play Remand
. It just delays, a strait counter would be better.

Blazing Archon and Iona mainboard is imo a better option, but then again my group plays a lot of agro and / or creature heavy decks.

Livewire Lash on an infect creature + pump spells = lots of fun (for you) :p

I didn't say she doesn't play them, I'm just saying that if they get removed or (for some odd reason) they don't get drawn, the deck is allot slower.

If I had vials, I'd use them in my elf decks.

Everybody uses Stasis to form a total lockdown. Am I the only one that uses Mist of Stagnation? With Mist of Stagnation, you can untap while preventing the opponent from doing so with cards like Planar Void and make them enter the battlefield tapped with cards like Orb of Dreams. I actually do this in my deck Mist of Stagnation ( http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=93804 ) :p

As for your deck, I like the Falcons, vigilance is sometimes underrated :)

A lady in our group plays a very similar deck. I was very happy when I saw Mental Misstep getting banned (she ran them in her sb). This is a strong deck, but one of the weaknesses I find are the Æther Vials - if they don't feature, the deck is allot slower.

The Exemplar I can understand, but the point of the deck was for the knights to be multicoloured.

Just had an idea for the "DOR" part of the deck name - add some Door of Destinies. You name griffin and it'll be a "Griffin Door" :p

I understand your concern, but this was just a rough idea that I wanted to link to a friend for his input (he's not a member on the Vault). As for the tapping, most creatures tap to attack, so I don't need to force tappaing too often :p If I ever make this (and I probably won't, the cards I'm missing cost way too much) I'll adjust the mana according to how playtesting goes.

I like the idea and would hate to face it. Mite I suggest adding the enchantment 'Lure'. Lure on the obliterator is just nasty to face off. You mite also want to add an alternative win condition, just in case.

I have to ask, how the hell is pump (giant growth) greater than mana ramp (rampant growth) ??

You say the obliterator doesn't have value, have you ever gone against one? The removal exists, but that doesn't make the obliterator less valuable. Your argument makes all creatures not have a value.

This deck (as far as I can tell) is supposed to be standard and it looks like a good start to me.

You got a point about the mana, but I think he's trying to make a standard deck and the cards you suggested aren't. I have to disagree about Titanic growth, yes it's a bigger pump, but Mutegenic can be cast for "free" and imo, that makes it a lot better.

I like the idea. But Forbidden Orchard should be replaced with something like City of Brass as the Orchid will end up supplying the opponent with a small army. Also you mite want to look into mass removal like Wrath of God so as to keep the opponent's board from getting too populated.

I like the idea, but I have a few problems. 1) Obstinate Baloth can only be put into play for free if an opponent makes you discard it. 2) You have ALOT of discard to force the madness, but you don't have any draw to replenish your hand.
