If this is casual as you stated... why not 4 add black vise?

Sol Ring is banned in Legacy and Lotus petal is not and not restricted.
Lich isn't bad, but Juzam works just fine and i don't have to have an artifact in play to drop him onto the board.
Your dea's are interesting though.
When New Phyrexia comes out, I plan on replacing Juzam Djinn with Phyrexian Obliterator, that card is leaps and bounds better.

I really like Extirpate in Legacy... 1) it can't be countered. 2) After Hymn to Tourach nails them for a key card, you can remove all of them and mak their combo disappear.
How is wasteland better? They're different types of land entirely? Maze of Ith is in there to protect me, not to add more land removal. I do like wasteland, but the purpose of Maze of Ith is defense. And if my opponent is playing a nearly creatureless deck i just swap them for more creatures in the sideboard.
My main concern is stated above. Got any suggestions on that? I'm all ears...

Well, for starters, you can only run 1 Sol Ring, unless this is casual kitchen table magic... Also, Copy Artifact is a good choice for additional annoyance.
I've yet to use or playtest with the new Tezzeret, he looks pretty sick-nasty though.
A fun asshole combo for artifacts is Darksteel Forge and Platinum Angel together. Takes a crap ton of mana to do it, but with artifacts, it's not too hard. Especially if you have Mycosynth Golems and a playset of each artifact land out.

I like the extra land for two reasons... 1) I Hate being mana screwed. 2) If for some weird reason my mana comes to me slow and they manage to catch up and hurt me, i have mana to overcome Nether Void myself.

It's all good... I've been on a break from magic for over four months... Right now i'm looking to trade/sell a good majority of my collection (mostly newer stuff) and start collecting what i want (mostly black cards from ages passed) and the other oldies. I more interested in Legacy and Vintage now.
I realized i was spending a fortune on cards in standard just to have them rotate out later and all my cards i've collected up to this point are not usable for the most common format, so i said eff that and now i'm focusing on playing with whatever i want for casual and/or Legacy and Vintage.

Wasn't about value, it's a solid deck that tends to piss people off that i play against. This deck does kinda prove why those cards are worth so much money.

Yes I do. I've Been playing for a long time. Traded for most of this stuff way back around Ice Age. Had to trade bigger and spend more money later on, but i got my hands on them. I plan to replace Juzum Djinn for the new card being printed in New Phyrexia; Phyrexian Canceler. That card is amazing... I will definitely be getting a playset of that card.

Cause it's essential to have enough lands early on and even later if you have Nether Void in play and they've managed to stop the early advance...

No problem my man, I've been taking a break from magic lately and even more interesting is that i have kinda given up on Standard, I've spent too much cash on it over the years to just look at my cards and say "can't use you no more, so bye bye." i Say eff that and now I'm concentrating on Vintage and Legacy. There is a Legacy tourny at my local mtg store on Thursday, gotta modify this a bit, but not much. Just gotta drop Black Lotus, Sol Ring, and Mox Jet and and swap them for different mana ramp.

You have learned well my Padawan... hahaha... Was it really that traumatizing when i shut down your Affinity deck with my royal assassin's, hypnotic specters, and black knights. I'm glad you're taking my tips That1Guy, I've been a mono black player for over a decade. Rockin man, i like the deck!

Meh, who cares, I've been playing since 94, I'm sure as hell not gonna bother to stop now.
Yeah, no mana burn seems odd and the combat damage not going onto the stack can suck, but I'm sure someone out there will figure out more and more ways to abuse what rules aren't there.
So whatev, it sucks, but I'm gonna keep on playin!
