Levelers are somewhat of a long term investment. He's one of the better ones.

If you play him turn one, thats one mana. Turn two you can level him twice and be attacking with a 3/3 first strike. Even if you left him at that he is definitely worth the three you've paid.

But from then on in, any extra mana just makes him scarier.

I was looking at the closet, but its fairly expensive. The one time bounce from ghostway usually makes it game if I have any other support out. And the blink can be put on the scepter or flashed back

Beauty deck, Heartless Summoning is wicked. I love build around me cards.

This looks pretty fast too, pretty decent amount of mana pump.

I made another deck after that green flying one, weird idea I had for a standard red deck that is kinda out in left field

What do you think?

Mythics are supposed to be extremely flavorful, that's all. Some of them are unfair good, but that's not the point.

It's of any one color, many of your creatures are virtually unplayable

Tribal decks with no formal support are always super fun to try and build

I had a giant deck and a treefolk deck for years, and then Lorwyn came out and turned both of them into great decks over night, but for the longest time they were setup like this. Obviously tribal, just with no mass help.

Cool idea.

If you're just trying to be a dick to creatures for the sake of being a dick, then do something that will actually do something

http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=340134 I put that together in ten minutes and I can almost guarantee it would be far more of a pain to slivers, or almost any creature deck

Phylactery Lich is literally useless in this deck

You have no artifacts

Unless I'm mistaken, the Frost Titan's ability counters the spell unless 2 is paid, it does not make the spell cost an additional two

So the Phantasmal Image would still die to anything that targets it as the spell is still cast

Ended up going with some Knight of Meadowgrain. I'm already losing more life than I want with the shock and pain lands.

Weird idea to help you win with Celestial Convergence

Swap some plains for Caves of Koilos, Fetid Heath, Isolated Chapel and/or Godless Shrine for black and white mana

Then put in 4 Vampire Hexmage.

This is going to sound ridiculous, but i would sideboard 4 sign in blood to replace night's whisper against certain decks.

My one buddy plays a terribly annoying control deck, and once he stabilizes creatures generally aren't doing anything ever again. I've killed him with sign in blood on several occasions.
