this is a great twist on the classic hunt deck. I cant really sugesst anything though apart from have you seen the two new lands, nephala acadeamy and gyier reach sanitraim... sanitarim helps you look for combo peices once you have mulled down too low?

Holy shit this deck is funny as hell!

The combo is too soft and slow for competive play but is REALLY well suited to multiplayer as most people have no way to deal with infinte creaure hordes and you will win the game on the spot!

You dont need the reflexes though, you need something to keep your dudes alive when people try and shoot them... id say gods willing is your best bet here. It keeps your guys alive and also lets you dig one deeper into the deck.

Also try looking at getting some scrylands for turn one plays, they anrt essental but should help you dig farther for your combo, and they fix your mana.

Bob was a great shout! This deck looks fine now. Id say go and play with it, see if you can borrow some painlands or shocklands though as they will help you AND they will make your deck faster. Dont buy them if you can really help it though, they are WAYYY too expensive.

I Could have, but at the time I didnt have the duel lands to be able to run that spash, also that would have diulted the the deck. The main reasion this deck failed was that i needed to run more counterspells to protect the chimera to stop me dying to pact, people would often just kill it right before it killed me, meaning I lost far too much to my own pact.

Its mana curve was off also and It was a little too slow for my meta.

If you want to use this as a base to test that build you should give it a go!

Link me here and we can talk about the results. :D

Aye, If you like the deck try having a look at the DEATHS SHADOW DECK, it does exacly what you are trying to do here as it subtracts your life total from its power. So if you are at negative life, from adnasaum, it atually gains power.

Right, you said you want this deck to be competitive so I'm not going to be as forgiving as I normally am.

OK. So this deck if a rather solved archetype but I guess you want to forget the evasion of blue to allow for more burst and reach with red. GREAT!

You still need to remember that the staples of the deck are staples though. You want 2-3 land Max, so you need to be running 8 fetches to ensure you can get the right mana off most of your draws, I would suggest wooded foothills and windswept heath, as they can both fetch green whatever, and if you add stomping ground both can fetch both red and green. This plus 4 mountains and 5 forests should be your land package, and that might be too much, and you might have to shave a mountain, playtest this.

Vines of vastwood is a must MB for this deck as you NEED to keep your creature alive whatever happens, as it will often be using all your resources on it when you go for the win. Apostle's blessing in the sb for when you face jund and burn is sorely needed as well, though I admit infect hardly ever SB's this is one matchup you need to sb for.

Fog will be a dead card more than it will keep you alive in most matchups, against good players it will do stone nothing. If you really want to run it put it the sb.

Test lanawar aguer but it seems far far too slow, at least I think it does. You have most of the pump but you should also be running become immense, with your fetches and spending pump spells you should easily be able to play this.

You have too many creatures and pump, you need to be playing Street wrath and gitaxan probe to thin your deck, take out one of each creature, one groundswell, all of the pytoburst to play four of both of these, they both fuel the become immense that you should be running over groundswell anyway, and make your deck far more contestant, it doesn't matter if you put yourself to four life. If you put your opponent to 0 that is.

The last thing you should do is study the modern meta in the location your going to, look ad VoDs from twitch or youtube of previous years competitions and build a SB to counter this.

Cards you should concider are,

surgical extraion
leyline of sactaty
apostle's blessing
Nephala academy
Spellskite+ wild definace (back up combo for people who dont die to infect counters)

just so you know once you get to 0 life you cant use souleater or wall of blood.

Anything that says PAY, means you cant use it if you are on 0 or less life.

As always everthing I say is just a suggestion and you dont have to follow what i say, as ill be approching this from my playstyle and my meta. Ill try to stay on theme with your

It seems that you have some good ideas, but lack the cards Irl. Combing humans liek feind binder and champion is a great idea to be agressive and win allot of damage races, but your humans are not quite aggreive enough to support that, and it looks as though half of the creatures work with sultai flayer and the other half work with champ.

you should ask around after local drafts to try and get either, creatures with four or more toughness, Fortified Rampart, Gardains of meltis, wall of resurgence, Ishkanah, outland collousus, Sigarda host of herons, Totem-guide heart beast, watcher in the web.

OR low mana cost humans with high power, I.e. woodland patrol, tireless tracker, thalia, lamholt pasafist, duskwatch recruter, and thalia's luteannt.

If your worried about running warewolvs, dont worry! You can always flash in champ in response to the transform trigger and have them become +1/+1 lifelinking warewolvs! Though this may not be were you want to take the deck?

Also i reccomend replacing naturalise with reclamation sage, it may be slower and one more mana, but your deck really benifnts from it being a creature instead of just a spell.

The other things are a littele standard, adding two more choking restraints taking out brave the sands and peace of mind, as they are your weakest enchamentments and restraints really help Gidion. For the same reasion id replace champions belssing and spetral reserves for pasifism or suppression bonds.

I hope this helps! Im sur

If the tokens from garrson live, then you can ealy swing for the win with just the 4 creatures you will have that will be at least 2/1 menace, as well as two 1/1 creatures.

I mean, i thoguht the burn that is in this deck is control, its to deal with threats that hit the board early game, that you can just counter late game with cards like spell stutter, or remand... Id also say that this is not a burn deck, but an aggro filers deck. It will probabaly win more often though comabt damage than with burn.
