Thanks for your comment on my frog deck! ( http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=159036&DeckCommentID=213084 ) I'm not too familiar with the Legacy tournament scene, so I'm not sure how much I can help. (Also, my only elf experience was piloting an awesome GB cube draft deck where I kept hoping to draw the "turn 3 artisan of kozilek" hand.)

I'll try my best to give some feedback, though. =)

I don't really like having 4 Fierce Empaths and only one target for them, even if that target's an Emrakul. 4 Fauna Shaman + 4 Lead the Stampede gives you a lot of ways to find that Emrakul without the risk of drawing a 1/1 elf for 3. I think the right number of empaths is 0-2, maybe mess around with that? And replace it with... I really don't know. Vines of Vastwood? =p

As for the sideboard, I think your biggest problems are recovering from land destruction or boardwipe (assuming fast enough boardwipe exists in legacy). I don't know what legacy-usable answers to that would be...

Truly hideous. Well done.

One of the /less/ ridiculous sample hands ended up with a mindslaver, oblivion stone, and sundering titan on turn 4 with 16 mana available next turn.

Thanks for commenting on my frog deck! Always good to see another.

Nice, especially with Thrummingbird + Spore Flower. The only thing I'd replace would be Favor of the Overbeing, since it's not very impressive on most of your creatures (fairly meh if it's not on Omnibian or Plaxcaster).

For a very slimy and powerful replacement, I recommend Voidslime.

Heh, thanks. This has been my most popular deck since shortly before I made it, but "most popular" meant around 20 likes until recently =p

Scornful egotist is hilarious, but I resisted the tempattion. =p

I've recently been tempted to make a birthind pod / heartless summoning deck (as I hear the cool cats are doing), which would give me an excuse to avoid 1-toughness creatures that make my opponents slap me.

That said, I'd love to see what you come up with if you build a deck with the above combo!

Never mind, looked up the new text on gatherer and it doesn't work.

Turn 1:
Plains, hum "I believe I can fly", wait for your opponent to join in, drop stingerfling spider, destroy him

Sucks when you don't draw that plains, though.

I get what your'e doing with Echo Circlet, but just attack with that obliterator instead!

Then you can replace them with Prey Upon and add some GB lands. >:D

Whoa, that's an awesome general.

Instead of (or in addition to) Freed from the Real, consider Pemmin's Aura and Crab Umbra, which have similar abilities but offer some protection as well.

Thanks for the comment. If my friend ever regains the spare time and interest needed to play Magic, I'll reexamine this list.

It's sorcery speed but I don't see why that would be a problem. I think you're right.

I think you're right, the dragonauts have served me well.

This decklist is in some weird hybrid form that isn't very similar to what the actual deck looks like. Maybe your comment will lend me the impetus to buy the Phyrexia cards for this

I don't know what I was trying to do in May, but clearly I want 4 Gitaxian Probes and probably 4 Mutagenic Growths as well. I can move Apostle's Blessings to the sideboard. Although given that this deck already gets turn 3 kills sometimes, I might be able to get away with mainboarding the protection. =D
