Morphling can untap itself ;)But I already put Ral in the side, no further need to advertise for him :)I trade through online sites (well, one specific) now, but mostly because players stopped carrying trade binders around and if they do, they only have the expensive ones with them and they use that trading site as price reference anyway. So I thought, give it a try, put all my cards of my tradebinder online, sold a few cards (among them my Tarmogoyf for almost 100 euros) and then started buying. Shipping cost depends on the number of cards and is only 60 euro cents for 1-4 cards (within germany, could be more to other countries). For about 5 euros of shipping you can order 50-100 cards, sometimes more. If the total value is above a certain limit, that site offers a trustee relationship service. The good thing is that many if not most cards are dirt cheap, you can pick up tons of uncommons and rares for about 10 cents apice. It isn't worthwhlie to buy singles that way but in bulk? I usually go for one or two more expensive cards (recently I bought a Death Baron for about 6€) and then fill the order up with a dozen or two cards that are considered crap. You would be amazed what people consider crap these days. And about trust: Most of the sellers sell regularily or even for a living and simply can't afford to get bad ratings.

Meanwhile I checked the Planeswalkers and considered Ral Zarek. Problem is, you tap that opponent's card during your own turn which does jack in slowing him down. He could still be used to use the Lens twice in one turn. And the other abilities are okay, too. Have to trade for him, though.
Not for me - if someone says"Don't ever play that deck again!" it means I failed to construct a deck that everybody envolved can enjoy playing with or against it. Happened two times so far.Thran Lens? Never came up with anything useful. It just makes stuff colorless, it doesn't turn it into artifacts. I only see it as a sideboard card to bypass Circles of Protection and things like this.
Yes, it's called Chill. Any suggestion for a Planeswalker? I want to add a single Planeswalker as a "chef" type of dude.
I don't care about how many decks a person can have. The problem is that everybody focuses on the "hot" decks, aka decks that already got much attention. It's the "new" and "unloved" section that players should focus on. And nobody seems to use the deck search - once a deck got buried, it will stay buried forever.
Yes, venting is nice, and I am sorry that it always hits Northy, it's not his fault after all.
If you can afford or already have them, Isochron Scepter takes this deck to disgusting levels of ownage. I just don't have enough and if I had, I'd better not play them here or I'd be excluded from the next Magic night ;)
Because someone mixed legends with cards that boost legends? That's brilliant? And do you realize that both Hero's Podium and Day of Destiny were suggestions from Undead Cow? And that this is an "inspired deck" to begin with?Again, Northy is important for this site, but really, people should pay credit where credit is due and Northy simply gets an unfair amount of it. Yes, it's me again ranting about the same shit and yes I partly do so because, again, I posted two very creative decks that nobody notices unless I force people to, but your post pretty much demonstrates what's wrong with this site. It's not decks like these why people are limited to two top decks, it's because of the mob mentality and ignorance of the broad masses.Don't worry, it will be my last rant of this kind.
Yes, I am running full playsets ;) Happens here and there. I built the original version of this deck a loooong time ago and was able to pick up the Lenses and Passages for cheap. There is a nice story attached to it:When I played this (well, the old version) the first time, Juan was one of my opponents. Juan is the emotional/impulsive guy. He was one of my two opponents in a game of Pentagram. He happened to play a blue and red deck ... I didn't even need the Lenses, I could destroy AND counter all his stuff right away ... he was so pissed that he demanded I should never play that deck again :) Well, I had other plans with those Guided Passages anyway, so I dismantled the deck until now. As you can see, the title of the deck is more than a pun.Anyway, yes, I can probably cut on the number of Elixirs and Blessings. The original deck didn't have Elixirs (because it was about 15 years ago) and the deck didn't have any lifegain which proved to be a problem, so adding 4 Elixirs was the first thing to do. However, 8 reshuffling effects might be a tad bit excessive :PI don't own a second Morphling, though. But I am confident I can find something similar among the newer creatures.
I don't think you can do something like this these days ... Magic has evolved and the cards got better, creatures do crazy stuff these days and creatures/spells that cost 7+ are truly game enders these days.Only beginners would assume/think you are harmless. First off, if someone plays Mana Flare and/or Howling Mine, everybody automatically assumes you have big plans for it, because, why risk playing them? There is only one deck in our group that runs Howling Mines and it bases on Underworld Dreams and Black Vise. And we have only one deck that runs Mana Flares - a deck with Future Sight and cards that untap lands which aim it is to cast Time Walk after Time Walk (Time Warp, Walk the Aeons etc.). So, if someone drops a Mine of Flare, everybody with some experience will assume something nasty will follow. But lets say they believe you. Let's say they know your deck. Even then - Mana Flare and Howling Mine are cards that experienced players won't allow to stay in the game. Think about it, some players will benefit more from them than others. The Weenie player will love the Mine but doesn't need the Flare. The Eldrazi deck loves the Flare but doesn't need the Mine that much. And the combo player needs both. Which means, Weenie guy's Disenchant target #1 is the Flare, Eldrazi dude will nuke the Mine at first opportunity and actually both would be better off if they could rid of both Flare and Mine because otherwise they'll get combo'ed out faster than they can kill with creatures. They might draw two cards per turn and get double the mana but they still have one attack phase.------------------------------------I just wrote that because you asked for our thoughts. Now let's forget what I just wrote and tune this baby, assuming your opponents aren't as experienced:* Insurrection is good, but it's also expensive, even for this deck. You might need to cast other spells the same turn. Keep the Insurrection, but maybe go down to 2 copies and add Reins of Power. The latter is an instant, so it can also be used defensively.* Reverberate should be upgraded to Wild Ricochet! If you Reverberate an opposing Death Grasp or something like this, you will still get hit by hit. Or if someone Disenchants your Mine/Flare, you may have forked that Disenchant, but you Mine/Flare is still destroyed. Wild Ricochet is the way to go in this, trust me! You have the mana. It's a gamewinner. * Fireball is outdated. For this deck, I can see the following:- Illuminate : Can be used on creatures early on without kicker, later with Mana Flare quite effective. Still expensive.- Comet Storm : The only thing this can't do is killing a single creature for 2 mana, otherwise it's way better and more flexible than Fireball. My personal favourite.- Devil's Play : I think the flashback is more useful in this than the ability to split the Fireball (honestly, when was the last time you actually did that?)* Spire Owl: I think Augury Owl is slightly more useful. It digs one card less deep, but you can hide any cards you don't need at the bottom of your library. Imagine you cast the Owl and your next 4 cards don't hold the mana or card you need - you will most likely lose. If you had fetchlands, Spire Owl may be the right choice.* Disk : You already run the Disk, which I was about to recommend. Good. Once neat trick with Disk: It actually doesn't kill Planeswalkers. So you could run one yourself. Don't have the time to pick a good one right now, but I would love to see a single Planesawalker as the "chef" if this deck :)Please have a look at my latest two decks.
I can't see much synergy between those creatures. Pumpers aside, the only legends I can see that work together would be Tymaret, Teysa and Rakka-Mar. The rest is just random legends thrown together (and again, odd colour choice, I would have expected green instead of red which would allow to run both Captain Sisay and Reki, the History of Kamigawa). So, let's assume you don't want to change colours, I'd say focus on the sacrifice theme we have there to give this deck a bit of face. * Lyzolda, the Blood Witch would be the first creature to add. Both cheap in money and mana she provides everything you need for this deck: Direct damage and card draw. I would add her no matter what, even if you don't want to have any theme.* Same is true for Brion Stoutarm! He is way too strong to not include him. And you can pick up the Commander version for 50 cent.* Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder provides you more sacrifice material.* Good old Stangg provides two legends for the price of one card.* Crovax the Cursed eats those tokens for breakfast to get stronger.* I don't know where you threshold for "budget" is, but if 1 dollar cards are okay, Ghost Council of Orzhova and Teyza, Orzhov Scion would be natural additions.* Yomiji, Who Bars the Way would be a very nice addition, too - it may be expensive, mana-wise, but if he hits play, you can sacrifice your stuff indefinately.* Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs would be a deterrent to attack you unless your opponent spends LOTs of mana or you get LOTs of tokens. To make room simply remove the random legends like Kataki.OTHER CHANGES:* Rally the Peasants ... I think, themewise, this is a no-go for a deck that has nothing but Legends ... those legendary heroes certainly don't appreciate being called "peasants" ;) I don't know why you think you need yet another pumper but if that is what you want, Sanctified Charge would fit better. (Only for reasons of flavour, remind you!)* You always add Wrecking Ball but in this case I think Befoul is better. This deck will rarely make use of Wrecking Ball's instand speed but has currently zero answers to regenerators.
What's so surprising about that? Most cards are cheap, it's just that most players always look at the same expensive cards and don't realize that there are 10000+ more cards in existance, MANY of them playable. Why would legends be an exception?
I made this budget-ish on purpose in the hope to get more replies. If I was to build this deck just for me, I would apply a better mana base. Also, I am not sure if having 4 Lotus Petal is worth the trouble keeping this Legacy Legal. If I would abandon 3 Lotus Petals, I could add Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor and Regrowth once each.
Triskelavus also provides artifact tokens for Welder fodder and Blightsteel Colossus is arguably a better Tinker target, that's why I asked.Would you please check out my new deck?http://www.mtgvault.com/puschkin/decks/blast-from-the-past-30/

Why are you running second copies of those planeswalkers but only 2 Welders total even though this is basing on Goblin Welder? Welders have summoning sickness and are extremely fragile, so I'd rather run four of them. And the extra copies of those Planeswalkers look like the first thing I would cut - you are going to tutor for them anyway, right?I also question the Battlesphere - or is this your pet card? In that case, keep it :) But if not, for that mana, I'd rather run Triskelavus instead. Or good old Blightsteel Colossus.Sideboard also looks odd to me, but Vintage environments have isolated and crazy metagames, so it's pointless to argue about it.
It's down to 5€ meanwhile, though, so I am gonna keep and. Added to the deck :)
Added Waste Not which I opened yesterday and fits perfectly.
Ha, I opened an Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth yesterday :)
Or, you know, you could just browse THIS site and have a look at what all those decks here are like! And if you want combos, use appropriate filters, it's pretty easy. Then again, discovering those combos yourself is (or used to be) the fun part of Magic.
