In EDH (now called "Commander"), you have a 99 card deck with each card (except basic lands) different. You then have 1 "General" or "Commander" off to the side in the "Command Zone". You can cast the General from the CZ at any time, providing you have the mana to do it. If the Gen. dies, you can choose to send it back to the CZ. If you do, it costs 1 colorless more to play each time the Gen. was sent back. You can only use cards that have the mana symbols of your General. If a red creature has an ability with blue in it, for example, and your General doesn't have Blue, then you can't use that creature. People TEND to design their deck around the General, but you don't have to...some people just use them for the deck colors. If a player is dealt 21 or more total (cumulative) damage by a single General, they lose. This sounds harsh, but it's actually a lot harder to get this than you'd think. Finally, your General has to be a legendary creature =] You can also find info here: http://mtgcommander.net/rules.php

This is indeed interesting...A little "fragile", but with Extraction being nearly impossible in Modern, that won't be an issue most of the time. One thing though, these 12-Posts get murdered by Moons. Have you considered anything to combat that?
Dude, Awz?, you just gave me an idea for a Boros deck...
Thanks man, fixed it now =P
I'm assuming this is for Standard? If so, use Duress over Distress man...it's a little faster and makes a bit more of an impact. Fetchlands are awesome with Bloodghast, so maybe consider running a few of those. I'm not so sure about Mortician Beetle...you have sacrificing effects, sure, but I don't know if you have enough to justify the Beetle =/
Yeah, that little bastard can single-handedly ruin another player's EDH deck...
lol sorry dude, haven't seen you on in a long time =P And yeah, I've been making a list now... Any decks in particular? =]
Just avoid playing against Teeg decks like the one Wumps has, otherwise, this is interesting. In EDH more than anything, running a colorless general is pretty damn hard...so well done with that =]
Was it Catullus who said that? Smart dude =P
Haha, that's why I'm here man =]
Something like that yeah, and that's just weird...
It's nasty man =] It might be worth considering Lux Cannon and/or some other win-cons, just to be safe =/
I think the Vault's just a little laggy right now, not sure why =/ Also, just a personal peeve of mine (and I'd think some others)...Put your general into the Sideboard. It makes it easier to find and thus easier to glance at (for making suggestions for example)...
Our shop owner has a friend who owns a company that does custom graphics/art for various things like magazines, business cards, etc. And we just send in a pack of sleeves, some money, and the picture we want and he sends them back =] Oddly enough it's still an open market...I don't know why no big company has taken the opportunity...that seems like a goldmine to me =/
Man I love this deck for THG =P
I don't think he's below-average at all. He just takes more effort to make an EDH for than say, Zur. Not saying all Zur decks are "easy-bake" decks (a term our group uses =P), but the majority are...and there's a few other generals like that. The best generals are the one's you enjoy using and enjoy building a deck around. My favorite two EDH decks are my Teysa and my Seizan decks, which are both VERY strong, but are also (and more importantly) insanely fun to play =]
I usually buy 4 boxes... I have a LOT of cards...
<_< I have 5 boxes Pre-ordered...Sold my extra 3 Goyfs and had some extra cash =P
Hahaha, thanks man, glad you like it. Ulasht is one of those guys who's good...but then becomes insane in EDH =P The Scramble combo is deadly man. The best thing is, usually they can't do anything about it! =D
Thanks man, I love EDH almost as much as I love Legacy and our shop's "Tribal". Ulasht is better than I even thought to be honest. You can have him come in absolutely ENORMOUS... I've actually fallen in love with this little trick with Scrambleverse. I use Ulasht to make an ass-load of Saproling tokens, and then drop a Scramble. My opponents get a bunch of 1/1 Saprolings, and I often get a ton of good (or at least...better) stuff! =D
