Also, hate to ask ya, since you been quite honestly spammed lately, but I'd like your insight on my latest idea for standard. It's my most recent deck, all the way at the end. Was excited about a Filth deck...but then I was reminded I can't use Bloodghast or Vine anymore...so that killed it =/

Really? Koth is back? Hrm...
Marrow shards dude. SB them in and RDW is a lot less of a problem. TImely Reinforcements is another great option against RDW as it can both provide chumps and lower their DT, which is always good =]
This deck is great, not much to say really...It looks like Past raises the consistency a bit, which is always something to consider for a Storm deck =/ One worry I have is that this has no defense really. It's riddled with speed, and it has multiple win-cons, etc., but I worry that a well-placed FoW could make it all crumple...
Yeah...see this is what I was worried about when I saw Past in Flames. It's like a poor man's Yawgmoth's Will, but...uhm, legal in Legacy O_O I'm still surprised though to see you haven't yet made an Affinity with Heartless Summoning. You were the first dude I thought of when I saw it to be honest.
Yeah by "Edna post" I meant those awesome long-as-hell posts where you break everything down and give a massive amount of advice, suggestions, or hell...just your own opinion. They're great man, I love getting Edna posts =P
I always say that the other 'mage' is just watching what you're doing and eventually says "Y'know what? Fuck it, I have NO idea what you're doing...you win."
Here's my gripe with Worldgorger...It doesn't make any fucking sense. Some examples of what I mean. Channel Fireball - Ok, you 'channel' all your...planeswalker...energy into one big fireball. Battle of Wits - "I win." "...Why?" "I know more spells than you" "Ok..." "It's true though." "Well you're a dick" "Still win." Charbelcher - It 'belches' out so much smog and 'char' that the dude dies... Darksteel Reactor - Chernoble anyone? Epic Struggle - you have a shitload of creatures, so you win... Then Worldgorger....Try to explain that in the metaphorical
Honestly man, as I see it, it's either Gideon OR Sunblast, not both. Currently with both of them in along with Frosty (which you need to keep in...it's so good) your deck has a LOT of mana-burden, which is most likely why you're running into speed/mana issues. Mana burden is an intangible thing...but it can make or break a deck. With that said, I think Sunblast should be the one to go. Yeah, it's pretty devastating when it hits, but destroying already tapped down creatures is kinda redundant.
lol I wouldn't call you "obscure" dude...not at all. Haven't seen ragged in forever though...(not that he's obscure either, but just that he's been absent). I will say that this is one of a few things I really do dislike about getting a lot of attention (aside from the attention itself to be honest)...if you don't keep checking, the comments just pile up... It doesn't help you much that a number of the comments are "Edna posts" XD
Fixed the issue of draw power, and also ditched the Memnites... This deck is FAST now...like...very fast. I honestly am scared to see what Heartless Summoning will do to Legacy Affinity O_O
Because Farseek specifies the land types instead of saying "basic land", which was the same problem that Harrow had.
Nah, trust us, it's blue =P Joking aside, despite costing (1)(g) to play, Goyf is an insanely strong killer for blue decks, and it's ease of splashing has created the joke that Goyf is blue =] The jokes aside, I still don't think you can say that Snappy (oh yeah, better get used to the nickname) is the best...he's good, but others can be argued too.
Wut?
Re-usability, no matter the cost (and honestly 2cmc more is cheap), drastically increases the options you have available at any given time. With any deck, but with control especially, options are the most powerful "x-factor" in the game. Just look at Cryptic Command! it's so damn good because it offers SO many options. So that's why =]
Welcome to the minds of master deck builders =]
This gives me some ideas by the way...I wonder how a Taps design adapted from this could work =/
Honestly dude, with black's ramping...8 mana for THIRTEEN god damn 2/2 tokens is insane...and it has flashback? This deck (currently using paper proxies lol) can play AotD very quickly, and if I have out Death Baron that's 13 deathtouching 3/3's! The greatest new card for Zombies though is Endless Ranks of the Dead. Holy balls does that enchantment freakin churn out zombies...
I should clairify...I'm happy about the ban in some ways (i.e., makes it a lot easier to play Extraction, gives Reanimator a freakin chance again, etc.) but overall I think it's a pretty asinine ban...as I explain below =]
Oh that's right you did. I honestly hope that deck gets banned...the whole damn thing. Trash all but the lands, that would make my day. If I'm in a really good, or really bad mood, I tend to make my best works. In the case of my current PAL design, I was in a VERY good mood. In the case of the Dark Zoo, I was, and still am, annoyed with Wizards. Anyways, the explanations make sense now that I think about it. With VoB especially, Wumps and I both ran these janky Filth decks that murdered with Splinterfright at our pre-release event...took 1st and 2nd. I was 14-1, Wumps was undefeated. The point being, Filth looks promising...very promising. And it uses the 'yard A LOT. In addition, against Filth, card advantage is a very good thing to have. The idea of getting "quarter'd" was mainly what pointed me a little more away from Inky than towards it, because let's face it...it WILL get taken down, especially when that clock starts coming closer to killing them. I must have passed up the Suns though...because not only can you bring Inky back, but if you do get quarter'd, now you have land advantage...which in a control mirror...is pretty damn sexy =]
