I've seen Armageddon used, and it often ends badly because the Lands deck can get them back while you can't... Land Equilibrium just doesn't work on Lands, I've tried. They have so many damn ways around it. Price of Progress and Primal Order have worked in the past I've heard, and Limited Resources has always been a good anti-Lands card. Still, Balance was the best...and when they took it away from us, Lands became a big problem. I miss using Balance =[

Pox is actually a very good card for fighting Lands. The best ever was Balance...but that got the boot ={
Grrrrrrrr....This isn't stompy...it's close, and not a bad deck by any means, but stompy...nope =/
I like the design, and think that with the efficiency and versatility of Naya, running 61 is nothing to worry about.
I would honestly take out the Pox(s). I keep seeing your deck being unable to survive its own Pox. That's not a bad thing, it's just how the deck is designed. I would put in three Extirpates and take the Pox out and then drop the Liege down to 2.
While Hymn is an excellent card, it is unselective and there are a ton of much more suitable 2 mana cards to use. Dark Ritual is a liability in Extraction decks. Many of the cards in Extraction are gold and/or low-cost. This means that Dark Ritual can end up either draining your hand too quickly for no real advantage, or can leave you with two or more unplayable cards. In short, Dark Ritual carries a high risk of becoming mana burden. It was quickly learned by extractors that in the Extraction vs Extraction match-up, the player with Dark Ritual in their deck (even just one) would almost always be the loser.
I sadly don't own any =[ I wish I did, as they might help the speed issues a little bit. I might just use this as a designated "nicer" extraction. And like I said in a previous post (I think), Circu is actually largely considered NOT to be extraction.
I like the use of the Alter a lot. Very disruptive. Adding in Extirpate or haunting echoes might work nicely with it. Tarmogoyf is mostly dominant in dedicated Poxtractions, which are just Bitterbombs fueled by Pox instead of other means, such as token spam/sacrifice. Since Pox just tosses all kinds of crap into people's graveyards, the Goyf will commonly be enormous at a very early stage in the game. Overall a very good design, I like it. =]
Tidehollow is the card Castigate attached to a creature. However, the biggest issue is that if Tidehollow dies, they get the card back. If that weren't the case, I would abuse him...and so would every other extractor, because that would kick ass. Gerrard's Verdict is sometimes used in the sideboards of extraction decks for the Lands matchup, since 6 life and two discarded lands (typically this'll be the case) is a hard hit against the chiseling type of damage that Lands is know to do. I personally don't use it, as I think there's better ways to take on Lands. Also, if they get a creature out and it stays out long enough to be a threat, I'm doing something VERY wrong. =] identity Crisis suffers from the same issue that makes Circu extraction so unreliable -- It's unselective. It may do a lot, but unlike more usable extraction methods/cards, it doesn't directly target key pieces of the enemy's deck.
The basic "skeleton" of that deck just works VERY well, and so it probably does look similar at first. However, if you look closer, it has a number of distinct differences. What do you mean by lightning deck by the way? Burn? Aggro? Because aside from Legacy Gobs, no other aggro is really an issue for Extraction (unless it's a Circu extract, which I'm honestly a bit disappointed in).
Surgical Extraction is unbelievable. It's going to be so much better than you even know right now. Turn one Thoughtseize ---> Surgical Extraction will crush most decks for just 1 black and 4 life. It's the return of aggressive control, and I am VERY exited =}
Surgical Extraction. Awesome name, ridiculous artwork (seriously that art is sick), and a sort of Extirpate on crack. Turn 1 Thoughtseize --> Surgical Extraction would destroy any combo deck.
Misspelled solitaire...derp
It can happen as early as turn 1 to be honest. If I get anything less than a BAD hand, you will be struggling to do much of anything. If I have a good hand or better, there's damn near nothing you can do.
Yeah, I think I need to work out some kinks with the speed of it. Circu is not that great of an extraction deck in my opinion, but I still wanted to make one. =/
Wow. You've got to keep us informed about how this thing works out. I am very interested in this thing.
I have, and might make room for them later. Thanks man.
Oh my god. That card is insane. I can't freakin wait for NP!
BAM! I'm kicking this baby to the tops. It's unlikely to get the turn 2 win, but I dunno...I like it still. =]
Yeah, not to brag, but the only version of the deck I've ever seen that was better was someone taking the exact design and replacing some lands with Moxen and a Black Lotus =P
