Affinity, especially raggedjoe's design, is a nightmare. I might have to adapt my SB a bit to handle them, as right now it's very tough. WW and elves usually have a lord, or something that gives them more power. Rip those out and it really is just that, weenies...at that point you'll take some damage sure, but then you can quickly dispatch them. For Elves I've found that taking out key mana dorks RUINS the early game, which is where elves mostly strive, especially against this deck, which is basically unbeatable late game. Thoughtseize a Llanowar first turn and they lost that special jump they needed. Extirpate it and they're struggling. If you look at most powerful elf decks, they 'jump' in mana...1 - 3 - 6 - 8/10 Stop the jumps, stop the deck. Goblins used to be a hard match-up for Extraction, but lately they're not that bad really. Due Respect makes the damage spike strategy of Goblins completely ineffective and BSZ...well you know. =P Lands was the hardest deck for Extraction for a long time, but recent new cards has basically made this once threat non-existant. Now, new designs in Affinity, again mostly raggedjoe's (seen like 5 netdecks of it so far), are becoming Extraction's newest danger.

Eh, I'm not liking Norn's Annex...and here's why: Against a control deck it does nothing. For one thing, White is a control color, especially in the standard meta. Against aggro it is even worse IMHO. If you don't pay the 4 life to make it cost 3 mana, it cost 5. 5 mana is VERY late game for aggro, especially the token-heavy aggro such as Kuldotha. To speed it out on for 3 mana, you have to lose 4 life. 4 life DRASTICALLY extends an aggro deck's damage-limit, which basically promises a win for Kuldotha and G/W aggro. Finally, an aggro deck will be more than ok with paying say...6 life to deal you 14 after you spend 4 already. It's one of those cards that at first looks good, but then in reality is pretty bad.
It can, and that's why I just have 2. However, this deck is almost entirely B, so I can also rush him out if I have to. Remember, Standard is slow as **** right now.
I said it helped, not that it...actually...damn you ragged -_-
Trinisphere and the SB, as well as some other cards deal with creature decks just fine. Affinity is a challenge because it is just that damn fast, but otherwise I've never been worried about creatures.
Don't play this against friends. Seriously, ChronoStasis is one of the most casual UN-friendly decks ever made. Good design though.
It just came to me. I haven't gotten much sleep. It's not bad for a deck made from stock. You have WAY too many plains I think, so I'd tone that down.
Thanks dude. I too wish Extraction wasn't so expensive, believe me =[ I'm glad your deck works so well too =]
Have you seen mine? Easily one of my favorite ones I have!

So now when someone goes to the Vault, first thing they see at the top of the page is "Kneel before your Lord!" newcomers are gonna be freakin out, "What does that mean? I don't know about this...I don't feel safe" XD Sorry, not getting much sleep lately and I'm in the slap-happy stage of sleep deprivation.
Uhm...I've never cared much for Spreading Seas...but I know some people swear by it. Your SB is definitely "tight", so it's hard to say how to fit those in.
Dove right into a shark tank =P Starting your experience in MtG with legacy takes balls man, no joke. Agreed on Stoneforge, my buddy bought a playset back when they were like...4 bucks.
Thanks man. I know I've been on an Extraction kick lately, but I think I'm basically done making them for a while. I'm not sure what I'll be making next, but it probably won't be Extraction. =] I know it might start to get old for people, but Extraction is back with a vengeance, even being viable in Standard! So it's just a simple fact: there's gonna be a lot of Extraction.
Hmmm...Not sure why but I always thought FoW was around that price per. Not complaining =P I'm admittedly not up to date with the prices of most older cards, because I got the majority of them a looooooooong time ago, often when the set was still out. Remember how back then the only way people found out about cards was by playing against people who bought the new set/buying the new set? Remember how everyone shat themselves when they first saw FoW? Good times =P
So far I can use both of them very effectively when I want to, and they provide a nice synergy lock IMHO. Counter damn near everything, and what does come into play gets sacrificed? On paper I suppose they do look like they clash, but I haven't seen that happen yet. If all of a sudden they start becoming problematic, I might make some changes. Memoricide and Temporal only go on the Panoptic Mirror, I never directly play them. Those things on a Panoptic is just absurd. Mem - Every upkeep ripping out every copy of another key card? This destroys decks. Temporal - I get infinite turns, or you die.
I dunno, it could have like...Tectonic Edge, some fetches, doesn't need Tar Pit because of the creature base...Maybe I'm too much in "Legacy Mode"...I dunno.
Oh, and mind taking a look at my two new Extraction decks? =]
It makes you have access to one less land (minor, but it helps), it shuts down the Springleaf Drum bullshit, and also holds off Mox Opal to an extent.
Personally wonder if Despise is more of a SB card. Duress and Inquisition of Kozilek are definitely great cards to consider, especially with Surgical Extraction. Praetor's Grasp is also insane. I love that card. It looks good on paper, but when you actually use it...good lord is it powerful. Finally, the land base is a little...bland. I hope those suggestions help! Another great design dude. =]
