Never seen a fully dedicated mana burden deck. This looks to be very frustrating to play against. Nice job.

He had a good humor about it though. He responded "I'll get it once you stop making these ****ing decks."

Iso-Seek is often considered the pinnacle of extraction. The typical Iso-Seek deck is an unholy abomination of sick and twisted control/lockdown that uses the Iso-Seek combo to destroy a deck bit by bit. My deck "May God have mercy" is my best incarnation yet...and is arguably my best deck yet. It doesn't just use Iso-Seek though. It also puts Memoricide on a Panoptic Mirror =P

Well the challenge from WnB was to make a lockout deck that doesn't use blue. I warned him it would end up like this. He just never listens...

I know what you mean. But, if you make it with Salvage Titan as the star, and overall as your own design, then it really will be your own. =]

Alright, now we have a focus =]

This also happens to be one of my favorite ways to play artifacts. I can show you a deck of mine, to give you an idea. There are a number of other ways to make and abuse artifact tokens (my buddies call them "scraps" for short) but this way, I think, is the best.

Vaishino Skeleton is undoubtedly the worst creature. It's absolutely horrible, and I use it as a bookmark. However, it is often argued, and I fully agree, that Rakalite is the absolute worst card ever printed.

An old friend showed me the game way back a few months after Revised came out, and I've been playing since. Beyond that, I pretty much taught myself. My first actual "Mythic" was Uril, the Miststalker I think. My first "holy crap!" card pulled from a pack was my "The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale". I think it is still the all-time best pull I've ever had. =]

I'm worried that you're trying to do too much in the deck. If you're trying to produce artifact tokens en masse, then there's a multitude of better ways to accomplish that than with Nuisance Engine.

If you want to abuse effects based on the number of artifacts you have, well again, your use of other artifacts to do other things is stretching it thin.

Etc., etc.

I suppose the first thing you need to ask yourself is this: What exactly do you want this deck to do? What, if you could only use one thing to describe what it does, would you want to be able to say?

I think once you really work on the answer to this question can I really give you more focused advice. =]

It's true that Firewalkers are a problem. I don't use anything to counteract them because 1) I have no room in my SB. 2) I have a strong presence of artifact creatures that get around it. and 3) By the time they can play it, I've dealt a large amount of damage and have a large enough field presence that that one guy won't be an issue.

Yup, I found the best way to work with the shortcomings of a Circu extract (i.e. unselective) is to add a versatile toolbox design to it. With the transmutes I can always have the card I want when I want. Notice that I can also search up Vile Consumption and/or Arcane Lab.

Perplex is actually my favorite counterspell. It just has so many applications and is BRUTAL no matter how you look at it.

I commented, but will add this little bit. Since it's introduction in Shards of Alara, Tidehollow Strix has gone hand-in-hand with Circu extraction. It's pretty obvious why.

Nice mill extractor, I like it. One thing I'd change is Traumatize. In reality it's a terrible mill card that just LOOKS powerful. It's sort of a catch-22 to use it with a powerful enough effect to justify its cost.

To add on to that, Counterbalance with Sensei's Divining Top is a combo called "countertop". It involves abusing the scrying and drawing versatility of the Top with Counterbalance to lock down the other deck.

@Dargo: The reason for the numbers of this deck are how they make it flow. The deck is a POXtraction, yet it uses just 2 Pox. It looks odd, but in reality, the other numbers make it show up with the correct probability. With Goyf at 3 and Extirpate/TS at 2, the relative probability of drawing Goyf is distinctly higher, but not too much so that I don't have the other cards I need when I want them. This also falls back to the effect of the Countertop in this deck. Whenever you run an aggro deck with Countertop, you will be constantly rearranging your draws, to the point where having 4 of something will give you mana burden (notice I have nothing at 4 of). 3-2 orientation creates a much more fluid ease between card frequencies and probabilities, and with a deck of this type, that is lethal.

As for having 3 of Fate Spinner, she is priceless for the design of this deck. FS with suspend is a powerful mix, and adding in countertop and braids along with that makes for a frustrating forced hand for the opponent. She also is amazing for fueling Pox. If they choose to skip draw, then they have an enlarged field of permanents and they are going to try to out-aggro Goyf...not a good idea. If they skip attack, then they are loading up their hand and field permanent count. And if they skip playing, then they load up their hand and weaken their defense against my offense.

Hope that makes more sense =P
