http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=184060 Kuldotha Rust. The RDW used in tourneys until the rotation...then it became that whole thing with the Shrine of Rage =/

<_< Actually Alpha, we're on our way. Before rotation there was a deck (Designed by me...then netdecked -_-) that won on turn 2 about 35% of the time and turn 3 about 80% of the time...
If you're planning to do a Fog type of EDH, then I would suggest using Angus Mackenzie as your general if you can get your hands on her. Not saying that Jenara isn't good, she's great, but Angus fits the theme much better. Bant's signature ability, Exalted, works in a strange way to create a unique type of control. Limit everyone to only using one dude at a time, and Exalted control rocks. In this case, Jenara might be better suited, as she can get huge on her own, AND get the bonuses from Exalted, it's a tough call. Lightmine Field is a card I use in my Exalted deck, and it's almost custom-made for Exalted. I'd also throw in Vigor (regardless of LMF). With LMF and Vigor, attack to your heart's content and watch your dudes get HUGE. The other approach you could take, and one that I've seen from a shop regular (who uses Angus) is what he calls "Stall and Swarm". The idea is to use things like Luminarch Ascention, Mirror Sigil Sergeant, and other "swarmer" cards to build up a massive army while the other players are stalled behind Fog like effects. Hope that helps =]
I think he just listened to "Jingle Bells" one too many times...Happens to the best of us =P Thanks for adding 3 more likes to all these people's decks! =D
Not much point in a discard deck if you can't make them discard anything after the first two turns. Plus it gives me even more card advantage =D Merry Christmas! =]
Holy crap I need to update this deck lol. I made this SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long ago and just threw it together =P
Smexy. That is all =] And Merry Christmas! =D
I appreciate the sentiment, but I hate to say that this deck pretty much can't be made budget =/ I wish it could, believe me...but it's just how it works.
One of my buddies runs a Kami of the Crescent Moon EDH and it's one of the best in our group. I like the idea of this one a lot though, it's much different from his =]
<3 H.P. Lovecraft The deck's nice too lol
<_< You started it...But fine =P
Hahaha, I suppose that's true. I love SolSim =]
True, and I've said before this is sort of a one trick pony, but that one trick is a kick in the teeth.
Eh Tatsumasa is flavorful, but only kind of "meh". The new age Moxen are of course a solid choice. As for the other dudes, it's honestly up to you. I can see how they could be useful, but I don't know entirely if they're necessary.
At the moment, recent advances in the speed of Affinity have made it much harder for Extraction in Legacy. Other than that though, it's a very powerful, albeit a very skill-intensive thing to play, and does quite well =] There are two "kings" of Legacy Extraction. Iso-Seek, which is what this one is, and PAL which stands for Poxtraction AggroLock. Currently I'm using PAL in Legacy, and my design holds up quite well, even against Affinity (to an extent of course =/). PAL is, however, an incredibly difficult deck to play...probably the single most difficult to play of any of my decks...But it's worth it =] If you're curious, this is my PAL design --> http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=208040
Hrm...I'm unsure if you need the Nether Void in this =/ It looks pretty good, but I worry that you don't have enough crap to damage the opponent overall. I suggest changing out the Voids for Bitterblossoms. In no time at all you'll have a bunch of little fliers smackin people around =P
Texted him and he loved the idea. I'll update it to reflect how he's got it now, and pass on his thanks =]
The Rack is a great card man, I've always liked it. It's actually very similar to Nihil Stone, but with clear differences at the same time. It's hard to say which one is better...It might take some fun math shenanigans =]
Hahaha, I doubt teeth grinding would happen...You'd be using Jace correctly! =D
I think the point he always tries to make about Jace is that a deck should never feel like two decks -- One "56 card deck" that is just mediocre, and another "4 card deck" consisting of the Jaces. That goes for any really good card honestly. I see both sides of the argument really. Yes Jace is god damn powerful, and in Standard, flat out overpowered as balls...thus he was banned (too late, but I digress -_-). He obviously can be a huge asset to a number of decks. But to every deck? No, no way. And that's the other side of the argument. It's kinda dumb to think that slapping a deck together and adding 4 Jaces will make it good. Now, I know you understand that, but as for a guy who exclusively plays Prison/Control...you can see how it could get irritating to see player after player who is not like you and DOES do that =/
