I've never had the time to play commander and odds work a lot different in those, so I'd be like a fish out of water.
I might be some help in the theoretical fields, and I have been trying to find a way for commanders to build their decks up in a way I call halfdecks. Search for the decktag: halfdeck
To see what this community has made.

It may be possible to do in commander by using some trickery.

Apart from that, I probably can't help you more with commander.

It's a little known fact that pro players often play cube because they discover some wild and rare interactions when playing it.
Then they remember the most interesting ones and try to build some decks based on them.
Some pretty weird decks have arised because of it :)

Your friends being tired of your decks hint that they can't be very flexible and that you are likely more skilled than them.
Degrading your own stuff will lead to a pleaser pattern where you try to make them happy, and they'll likely lose respect for you and abuse the privileges you give them.

Beat the shit out of them while you can, then participate in more tourneys.
If they stop playing soon after it's because they are trying to control you through your hobby and failed. If they complain about your tourney life, ditch them, they aren't worth it...

Here's some fling tech to make you think ;)

Wall of blood is the ultimate fling/consumption target if you have a little more life than the opponent.

I also prefer to put some ragged veins in the deck when playing against aggro. They attack, they die.

I know they don't mean to troll :)
But there was a lot of it going on a couple of months ago, which means we probably had an influx of newcomers.

It means most newcomers also wait a bit before they announce being here.
First they learn the site, the deckbuilding, the searching, then they go public with 10 - 20 decks and announce their presence.

It makes sense that it is a repeatable pattern.

Ah, how could I forget...
He's toying with the search engine, which can be set to find decks with upvotes, comments and views.
I actually forget that the search engine could do that :)

That actually means gigius is the troll;)

Could be that a lot of time trolling is caused by newcomers.

Yeah, I'm wondering about that too :)
Cy1971's last deck was in 2014
Shifting shapes posted in this one in 2012

I guess a time-troll upvoted it and then gigius sort of stumbled into it.

Gigius, some decks are very old, and someone is having a laugh at watching us reply to stuff from the past.
Always check the date of the last comment and the decks creation date (at top under the name)
Otherwise you talk to the void :)

Granted there is a vague chance of getting an answer some years after if the user returns in a nostalgic mood, but it's pretty rare.

It's there to add the bark to bark at ;)
I've suggested that it is replaced with branchloft pathway
It has bark in the picture and will make some think he has access to white.

Yeah, it seems that the deck would kill faster with a cheap flier, because of crabs stalling the rest. So far it wins regardless, but it could win faster. The first weak cards will be removed with stuff like leyline of sanctity, relic of progenitus and direfleet daredevil ;)
I first experienced the ultimate mill hate from direfleet daredevil when playing against humans, and I was just waiting to draw a killing millcard when I drew this gem for the human deck. My mesmeric orbs had depleted both decks so I just chose archive trap from my own deck and was suddenly dead.
Later I learned myself to also shamelessly abuse my own surgical extraction to take out my own best mill.

The prison deck will be able to use surgical extraction to remove Crypt incursion or the rest of surgical extraction letting the eldrazi reshufflers be the win. It also increases the aggro :)

I've solved the mana for the prisondeck already.
4 field of ruin
4 ghostquarter
4 sacred foundry
2 mountain
7 plains
2 arid mesa

This way the deck has mesa + foundry + plains = 13 white sources from turn one.
It also has mesa + foundry + mountains + 4 simian spiritguide = 12 red sources from turn one.
After the moon hits there are 8 more red lands, but at the beginning of the game the odds are even in both colors, and like I always tell people, merfolk plays 12 islands.

I might end up cutting some of the ruin/ghostquarters to add some mutavault and blinkmoth for increased aggression.

Yeah I saw that ;)
I'm building up data on the mill killing deck, so I'm stretched out at other areas of research.
I've already posted a lot of gaming info on the match against classic ub mill.

I'm starting out with the "real decks" first, (ub mill & lantern control) then I move into my own territory and play against 5 of my own designs. It will be interesting how many matches my own stuff wins compared to the more widely played decks (I play lantern with mox opal knowing that it's banned just out of curiosity. I might learn how to restore it to its former glory)

It did violate european gambling laws in the past.
Most players were indifferent but stores had to take it seriously.
Eventually it was the price of the best cards that made people stop gambling in Denmark.

"If you look at the other one who's public now"
Now it makes more sense. I blame my aspergers ;)

I think the 3 life modal lands are a nice touch here too, but think fetchlands + duals will also add to the plan.
The only problem now seems to be the scourge as your life will whittle away.

Do you think drain life like spells might solve it ?
You have a tight manacurve, but maybe siphon soul is usefull ? Morsel theft if any of the creatures are rogue ?

Forgot the like. Fixed now.

Yeah, happened with me too a long time ago. The internet was such a new thing and I wanted to be darkman, but the site I used then already had one, so I thought on it for a while and one day I saw a card called wicked something something where this lady was sucking snot out of a lizards head, and I became wickeddarkman.

Also, I think the tree broke the legality.

Also, what's hidden reference in your gigius name, cause it's damn close to "giggle us" :)

Oh, and since you have 8 alpine creatures, play with a single snow-covered land, and when you play it go "arf arf it's the homelands"
