It's the best cause there is :)
When you start getting viewed a lot you will also become the target of trolls.
I think I read/overheard you losing a subscriber.
That could be an early troll trying to discourage you.
By subscribing and then later unsubscribing the troll can cause you to think and reflect unnecessary about the quality of your latest work.

Latest research shows that about 40% of people are willing to troll if they are anonymous (not the hacker group, just anonymous)

So losing subscribers early on might just be someone trying to manipulate you.
It can become pretty complex, and in mtgvault it's sort of an arms race.

Looks great :)

If you don't know it, I've built a list of all the best users on mtgvault, who uses tags and descriptions and in some cases does something for the community.

You got solid and detailed descriptions and cool enough decks to be added to that list.

Each time I post one of my own decks it contains a link to the list.
https://www.mtgvault.com/wickeddarkman/decks/contact-list/

If you want to be on it, just write a yes, no strings attached except being a quality user.

The list is meant to inspire others to strive higher, and will enable you to seek out other cool people.

Also, go look at one of my decks to see that the link is really there ;)

Saw a video today where cgb and arjuna briefly mentions how good [[heated debate]] is, while talking about chariot&wrenn. [[Burning hands]] was also mentioned but that was in relation to something else, possibly izzet brews.

With the influence of these two brewers these card might pop up and influence the meta soon.

Wow, you've been in mtgvault for a very long time, so it's good to finally see you build your first deck in here :)

Congratulations are in order.

Spotted the hawk in the video.
What do you think of it ?

I like that it's an early attacker that supported with a lot of cheap counterspells and removal could take home the victory. It also fastforwards the deck.

What's your evaluation of scepter of fugue ?
Longterm discard is good, but a payment of 1b each time seems like a hindrance.
Is there any cards making treasure tokens when you play artifacts ?

Perhaps the scepter could work if played with the pirate monkey ?

The guy actually robbed me of a 1st place once, by being better than most.
I had built a statistically made burndeck and faced him in the final.

That event gave me a bit of a following and I managed to convince someone else that building decks with statistics was possible.

That guy played affinity at the time, so I build a statistical brew based on that.
He then got 2nd place while I gained a third place.

That event gave rise to the whole "deckcore & flex slot" way of brewing decks.

It's hard to track down these events as not all of them were officially registered back then.

But I know I got the tournament against sibast registered with planeswalker points.
He was frequently called beast, and was extremely overweight back then. I hear he has lost an extreme amount of weight since then.

In an article by olle rĂ¥de google for:
Deck tech: thomas enevoldsen
I'm mentioned in the article as "some guy".
I had designed a contest where my black lotus and some moxen were prizes
And as a result the playlist he chose to enter in my contest became his future career in magic.
I got an old post about that competition somewhere.
https://www.mtgvault.com/wickeddarkman/decks/my-commonkill-era/

It's briefly mentioned almost at the bottom of the post.

Oh, who ?
I guess you are only counting world championships.
In denmark itself there is goddamn too many of them :)

The meta in Denmark is pretty special.
It's a small country but has a lot of magic players compared to the number of stores, and most of the time stores are the only places where you can experience competitive gaming.

This means that whenever there is a tournament, you will see a number of the best magic players in denmark at the tables. The stores who run it usually tries to make it so that new players get to join, but they have to be quick about it as registering can be pretty fast and the room is filled.

The less played formats compete with this larger structure, and gets visited by the pro players who try to make some easy cash to support their play in their favorite format. So anything with card prices in it lure out the big predators.

Overall it's all pretty toxic and not noob friendly at all.
But for those with a hardened psyche it is "special"

So when most Danes play magic, they set out to destroy.
There is a small number who long for a competition less format and they keep chasing new ones, but whenever one is successfull and cash gets involved, the pro's will track it down and take it out by being top predators taking the cash every time.

The commander/edh you describe isn't possible in Denmark.

If you ever get competitive I suggest you track down the top of the Danish environment and copy their decks.

The day I go into commander, I'd get into it to beat the top decks by using specific hate cards and develop from there.

I was talking about 100 cards vs 60 cards.
It's easier to combo with fewer cards :)

I'm pretty used to the "mass downvotes" it could be related to the argument with thegreatgodloki, but could also be a decoy, since one of the older trolls seems to have shown up this week, dressed in new accounts.

So no worries :)

I've been thinking a lot lately about trying to build a nasty edh combo.
Part of the edh environment seems to have forgotten that the important thing is the sum of the deck, not the commander. The commander is an added bonus if it fits, but building around any commander basically breaks the creativity, so I'm starting to want to crack the environment up a little by actually going to a tournament with something.

[[Fathom feeder]]

Consider adding 1 or two fathoms feeder, it's pretty close to the design of carefull strix, but it can potentially draw more cards.
Also, against combo it can actually eat the combo away with some luck as it has ingest. (And sort of mills)

I haunt the top lists pretty frequently, and despite mill, getting good results it performed a lot better in the past.
It had just gained a momentum when someone decided to add lurrus, and it's been weaker since then, in spite of new cards.

I'm not into visions & shelldocks either :)

I've splashed red into my mill forever, and got a pretty good idea of how almost everything works in mill.
When dual strike and tasha's hideous laughter started seeing action in arena I started thinking of chandra again, and have been for a while :)

I've also thought a lot about chandra's regulator in a more burnlike setting.

For a long time I've been thinking of chandra being a new boost to mill.
Which of the chandra's would you recommend to support a mill deck with big mill spells, like archive trap, glimpse the unthinkable and tasha's hideous laughter ?

Chandra, torch of defiance appeals a lot to me, because it can +1 and keep up the steam that mill normally runs out of.
It can aid big mill spells by adding RR, it can provide removal which is always a longterm problem for mill, and it can turn all the mill into burn spells. And it only costs 4 to cast. The mill will make it difficult to draw the right cards to take out chandra.

I gues the fire acolyte version of her could be used to recast cheap mill, but then the removal must come from somewhere else.

Do you have any insights in the concept through your experience with your chandra deck ?

In brawl it is easier to go combo, and wotc/hasbro knows that combo has a certain sale.
