I think his aim is to be able to go selfmill sometimes.Interesting blend.I can recommend surgical extraction as it adds to the spell count and fights the graveyard too.

1: you are not playing lurrus, so ensnaring bridge actually belongs in your mainboard. If you look at old decklists you will see that ensnaring bridge moved into sideboards when lurrus became mills companion. Then as people started imitating the most successfull sideboards millers started to move ensnaring bridge into the sideboards without thinking about why they should make that move.2: mill has had a fragile manabase since 2010 that I always try to enlighten people about. The arrival of field of ruin added new fragility to this. During 2018 field of ruin saw use because it supports archive trap, but field of ruin had unforeseen consequences. Where ghostquarter can take out tronlands or eldrazi temple the second it lands, the use of field of ruin demanded three mana present to stop the same cards. Millers have been wasted by both decks ever after because of that change.3: fraying sanity + maddening cacophony is a neat combo, but since it demands 6 mana to pull off, it's a very slow combo that only works when you got 6 mana. As such it's only good against a slow matchup. The overall conclusion from these three points is that aggro will run through you.I've played mill since long before 2010 and have been monitoring it for years, noticing it's flaws.
This deck has become a bloody mess, and yet it has a number of interesting directions you could take it.I'm pretty sure lifegain and doom whisperer will be an amazing thing. Hydroid crasis provides aggro, draw and life. The ramp will enable doom whisperer. Brazen borrower to protect all of them (or just bouncing crasis to draw more)I could see this become a powerfull BUG colored deck. You cut the -1/-1 gain life x-spell. Probably to protect your ramp, but I think it could still be good in long games where you have lands enough to be damned about ramping anymore. Against aggro like monored they will bonecrush and frostbite your ramp anyways, making it playable against them. White is also fast enough that it doesn't care about your ramp and will giant kill to get through any big threats.Aiming at a croxa/goldspan angle will demand discard, and the logical step will be to suppress ramp by bone crushing too, so you will be extremely divided in trying to ramp if you go that direction, because you will be busy with discard and burn. I can see blue as a backup color there for countering and draw.
Yeah I gotta admit vorinclex is better than I thought it would be.The haste is decent, but the lockdown of counters is much more useable these days than I ever thought when I saw clexy first time.
No problem.I'm nice to cool people, but really hate trolls.I've always liked your overall tag structure, and last year I used it to go through your boros builds to get some combos for some of my own stuff. (Search for the decktag: wdm prison)Your large collection is an inspiration, though I did have a small heart attack when you moved into edh/commander, as I really love modern, but all things change :)It's odd, but trolls seem to prefer to be spamming with EDH decks, maybe because people not in the format rarely bothers to double check if it's been posted before, and I've been thinking if the trolls might have made that format seem more popular than it really is.Compared with an ordinary modern deck, how much longer does it take build a strong EDH deck ?
You too :)
I looked after some versions of reap-lace and it turns out that old mtgvaulter puschkin had one lying around :)I've commented on the deck, so it should be available. It's titled "replacement killers"
Hey puschkin, just necroing this page because I've been talking about replace with a premodern player :)This deck highlights it :)
I took a look and though there is a lot of decks, I'm pretty sure they missed some
At the moment we are being spammed. That means that your EDH deck probably isn't noticedBecause everything gets buried.Best advice I can give is that you scroll down to some other edh pagesWith comments and start up a conversation while we wait for the spam to die of.
Someone's spamming the site.I recommend to active users to look for posts with comments, and start up a conversationWhile noone can see each others work.
Someone's spamming, so I'm commenting your post to put it back on top.I'm really happy that you never copy/paste your grand work.If you ever did, it would probably kill this place :)
Also, we are being spammed at the moment.Best way to ride that out is to seek out posts with comments and start talking with peopleWho cares enough about the place to talk to each other.
Seems like user Nate hawk is spamming us.And I got downvotes again. The troll must have taken a break.
I'm not into commander, but upvote for putting in a description :)It's a rarity these days to see a commander deck with a description
It was around may 2006, the grass was green, kamigawa was all the rage, and my friend had just found this new game store, so we were unknown invaders of the place.I played an absolute homebrew with a computer designed manacurve. I called it:"It's a soltari life" (pun on solitary)22 plains4 leonin elder4 soul warden4 ghost-lit redeemer4 soltari priest4 silver knight4 leonin skyhunter4 soltari visionary4 soltari champion4 emissary of hope2 swords to plowshares (was supposed to be sideboard, but forgot 2 pegasus charger at home)SIDEBOARD:4 kami of ancient law1 seal of cleansing2 swords to plowshare (originally 4 but had to put 2 in main)2 eye for an eye2 plains (had to put them in because of the lost pegasi)4 whipcorderThe meta was extremely unprepaired for my build as noone knew us,And noone had ever built deck mana by using a computer. I knew goblins and affinity would be everywhere(Emissary of hope and leonin elder was chosen because people played affinity with 5 moxen and a lotus, and the mox were pretty much everywhere)The concept of an evasive build with lifegain to support a fully reckless attack was also completely new at the time)The matches:Confidant dreadnought I beat 2-0, I knew that guy from another place so knew what he played.Tendrils, bargain, desire: I lose it 0-2, my first encounter with tendrils.Boros oath, triskelion: I lose 1-2.At this stage I'm a bit demoralised with 1 win and 2 losses.Goblin stomp: I win 2-0Uw jitte: I win 2-0 but both games were damn close.Boros oath, tyrant: I lose 0-2.It seems my memories must have changed, it wasn't at that tournament I got the 4th place.Instead I ranked as 11 out of 25 players.Must have been shortly after that I got 4th place.Anyways, what was impressive was that everyone else brought power to the table, and I didn't even run a mox Pearl though I had one at the time. It was unheard of at that era in time to pull a stunt like that.Hows premodern these days ?I remember when I learned about it, I sat down and remembered at least 50 decktypes from the era.(Most notably reap/lace which was truly epic)
I once won a 4th place with a premodern deck back when it wasn't called premodern. It was based on the soltari and lifegain, and at that period of time the power 9 were still legal.I myself played without power.I actually still got the list somewhere if it has any interest.
Yup, things must be done for the lolz...
Sad wdm :(Oh well, then I guess things have to be done by playing against sparky with some cards working as a sort of proxies. The day its possible to play a playset with 4 different art must simply be demanded. That, or some sort of identifying marks (even if it's just a number)From a programming view they must have had such a thing in the alpha program, to be able to fine tune the draw algorithm, and even general play.
Can you get a read on how the pairing system works ?It should be based on ranking and "card power"Do you think card power is based on rarity or popularity?I'm also interested in knowing if the "cosmetics" can be somehow optional, rather than applied to a whole set.(My aim is to find out if you can have a set with 4 different kinds of art, because that would mean you could track the efficiency of individual cards like I do with my own projects)What's the final aim here ?Building the mill deck ? It should be possible to develop some middle stages of it, sort of like some of the sideboard cards could start out as main.
