Seems like "mill winter" is slow to occur.I totally misjudged how backwards mill players have become. All the tech I expected to see is so slow at being implemented.I guess I'd have to build the deck myself and win a larger paper tourney to get them to understand what it's all about.

Your tidehollow sculler interaction is not complete in its description. If timed correctly it will exile the first card put under it.I've always questioned builds with 4 æther vials and has tested æther vial enough to know that only few decks need 4 of it.I've had builds down to 1 vial that worked pretty well.Currently there's some focus on ghost quarters + flagstones of trokair where the goal is to hit the flagstones to gain more mana faster
After some consideration, I've come to the realization that sarulf is really just a tarmogoyf with an inbuilt engineered explosives. You don't need to fire it I you are in control, and it has the potential to grow larger than the original. This means, it's best played in a traditional tarmogoyf shell, where you can exploit that you can now play 8 goyfs.Since it does compete for deck space with the other goyfs and can only be played a turn later, and is a legend I'd say it's best to play three ordinary goyfs and 2 sarulf.
Ah, then here's an idea. Make him an early collector. Give him a card collector "album" and some of those rather useless creature tokens that there are so many of.Teach him to put his favorite pictures up front and to sort the token cards into colors. It will give him early lessons in being carefull with the cards themselves.
Took a quick look and only found hogaak and kalitas to be worthy of time of need, though I only searched for past stables.Graft creatures might be a secondary solution. (Transfer fate)Also kami, and other death effect creatures, and creatures that can comeback from the grave.Rotting rats and other graveyard haste beings.
It would take some cards to focus on it.Spellskite and that phyrexian blessing would probably be enough. The blessing doubles up and saves spellskite which has several uses.A better question would be if time of need could bring other legends to the table that supports the deck.Back when time of need was printed, it wasn't interesting enough, but since then legends have become a lot more frequent and much cheaper too.
I like seeing the big bad wolf in action already ;)You mentioned you didn't think a deck could be built around sarulf, but I wonder if [[time of need]] wouldn't make it possible to go huff and puff more frequent.Since notifications only stay active for a while I guess you've overlooked my message about how all the ikoria mutate creatures and companions have very perverse names...With mtg calling your "handle" to dirty, they have soiled their own pants all over.Few know that the R&D department is constantly trying to sneak perversities past the censorship department, and with ikoria they managed to smuggle two larger theme groups through, which is generally unheard of.Take archipelagore for instance, it's name means "through fleshy arches" (google archi, pela and gore individual)Vulpikeet sounds like vulpic eat, necropanther sounds like necro panter, and so on.
Proxies ?Or was it you who only had black ink left?
Nope, but prosecutor and defender are, and the judge probably started as one while the secretary is likely in training. That's 4 stupid lawyers out of 4 :D
I posted a bant deck, then rethought some things about it. It can go infinite through one card.
Damn, I've completely forgotten about whispers of the muse...
And stupid. A friend of mine is going through the court system these days. And he knew more about the law than the prosecutor, defender, judge and secretary at parts of his process. He had them looking up their own lawbook several times, enough times that the 4 of them practically had an intern competition at who could find the relevant laws first to confirm his knowledge.
I did like the deck too.
Likes on mtgvault are more or less an illusion. There are some who create several accounts to upvote their own stuff.Comments are a lot more giving, because you know the person behind the comment at least did the effort of typing.A click on a mouse is rather cheap in comparison :)
Layers and lawyers. Same same.
I'll sure search some more :)My own page is in a disarray, but I'm organising it with decktags.Search for the decktag nfo memberThen click on the wickeddarkman deck.
Oh, To drink and be merry, retaliate alfred, or I'll take a wiener and some sherry-iesIt might not be ales, but I'll blow out some gales, that will bring warmth to my icecold berries.(Insert "that she blows" meme)
Like relic and progenitus, surgical extraction, guryo's vengeance exploit that emrakuls reshuffle enter the stack. He touches the graveyard, and that's when you reanimate him at instant speed.Germynator:After your dinosaur kiddecks and your comments I clicked on your profile and some decks, and saw that alfred was there. I follow him around when I can, though he moves fast.
Nice tradition ;)People probably spend huge parts of the winter writing post to keep their beer and sausages :)It seems like the world had its share of entertainment before tv settled down.I wonder if the old way wasn't better :/
Guryo's vengeance ?Anyways, isn't faithless looting banned ?
